We stayed here for a family celebration. Although we arrived much later than planned, you responded quickly and prepared our meal without delay. The Room was very spacious and clean, and we had a very comfortable stay! The bath and sauna were also excellent! The food was delicious! When we contacted you about breakfast, you came right away. We apologize for the inconvenience during your busy morning hours. Breakfast was also very tasty! We would definitely like to stay again!!

This Accommodation is packed with the best of a traditional Ryokan, and our whole family was delighted. We were amazed by how spacious the bath was, and the grandkids were excited about the jungle-like atmosphere. It was cherry blossom season, and everything was spectacular—flower mats, petals floating on the water, hazy blossom skies, swirling petal showers, even a “path of blossoms”! The kids were also surprised by the waterwheel. Thank you for a wonderful time we will always remember.

Even though the building is 300 years old, it has been carefully maintained down to every detail, and we had a very comfortable stay. Above all, the staff were truly wonderful. We would love to visit Kurashiki again, and Yoshii Ryokan will be our only choice. Thank you very much!

Staying in this relocated traditional house made me feel pleasantly nostalgic. It was also great that the bath was available 24 hours a day—my skin felt smooth and moisturized afterward. And above all, the seafood was outstanding. Every dish felt like a main course, and then the final blow was the nodoguro rice bowl—I thought my stomach would burst, but it was so delicious I couldn’t leave any and finished it all. Even though I wasn’t fully hungry yet, breakfast was incredibly good as well. It was my first time eating squid with grated daikon—what an eye-opener; I’m going to try it at home. The rice was delicious too, and then there was even abalone-and-mozuku rice porridge with a nice kick of ginger. Once again, I ate everything. I was afraid to step on the scale after getting home. But I definitely want to come back.

In winter, you get out of the car before reaching the Accommodation and walk the last few minutes to it. It surprised me at first, but the moment the sound of cars fades and only snow and the river remain is truly memorable. Rather than feeling inconvenient, it feels like a quiet shift away from everyday life. Inside the building, water keeps running to prevent freezing, reminding you that people are living here deep in the winter mountains. There were even a few insects that had woken up from hibernation, but they weren’t causing any trouble—it felt like they were simply part of this place. The Onsen is more comfortable if you let your body adjust before soaking rather than rushing in, and the fine sand on the bottom of the bath felt fresh against my soles. Unlike an overly polished Onsen, it really makes you feel immersed in nature. The tofu served at night had a gentle flavor, but the freshly made tofu in the morning had a slight bitterness that actually stayed with me. It felt like tasting the local water and soybeans as they are. At breakfast, they also shared a recommended way to enjoy tamago kake gohan: mix only the egg white first, pour it over rice, then place the yolk on top—trying it was a fun moment. I found myself wondering how long it had been since I last laid out my own futon; I was surprisingly good at it and felt quietly satisfied. Even using an unfamiliar type of Room key felt refreshingly different. When you turn off the lights it becomes truly pitch-dark; even waiting for your eyes to adjust feels pleasant, and in the morning I naturally woke up to light filtering through shoji screens. This time it was about a five-minute walk from where we parked; if I’d left my smartphone in the car too, I might have experienced an even slower sense of time. Many guests were not only families but also solo travelers, which made it especially memorable that I could relax comfortably on my own. In everyday life there aren’t many chances to remember this kind of pace—but once you visit, it’s a place that somehow feels easy to settle into.

It was a one-night stay. The staff were very kind and made us feel at home, making it an enjoyable stay for both my husband and our beloved dog. Despite our late check-in and delay for dinner due to our circumstances, they were very accommodating. Thank you very much. The food was also very delicious. If we have the opportunity, we would love to stay again. Next time, we will definitely check in on time, so please look forward to it (laugh).

Stayed on March 6. The Room was spotless and very clean. Having a private open-air Onsen bath in the guest room was the best part. We were satisfied with both the quality and quantity of the meals, and it left a strong impression that the owner visited every table and explained everything so carefully, which showed how much passion they have for this Hotel. There was a power outage that night due to lightning, but the staff responded quickly and flawlessly. After power was restored, we were also glad to be able to see the laser message display. Finally, we even got to experience a seaside drive in a Rolls-Royce convertible, making it an extremely satisfying trip. We will definitely return.

Absolutely satisfied The Onsen was great, the food was great, the Room was great, and the service was great. I was able to spend a quiet and peaceful time. I’d like to visit again when I’m tired from everyday life. Thank you very much. As an aside, drinking the Onsen water suited me well.

Dinner was a course featuring pufferfish and a boat platter, and we enjoyed plenty of pufferfish. The local sake was also delicious, and we ended up drinking more than planned. Breakfast was Japanese-style as well, with side dishes that paired nicely with white rice. The homemade pickled plums were tasty too. We stayed in a detached room, but the stairs were steep, so going up and down with a suitcase felt a bit unsafe. The bath was small, but very relaxing. The bath mat was quite slippery, which concerned me, but overall the place was clean and the staff were sincere and attentive. It was a wonderful guesthouse—I’d like to bring my father next time.

Minami-Sunamachi may feel a bit out of the way, but it’s about 12 minutes from Otemachi and around 30 minutes to Shibuya on the other side of the city. Above all, the Room size and overall comfort during the stay are outstanding. Since I work in my Room, I requested a Room with a desk and, if possible, a good view—and they accommodated my request perfectly. Even with lots of luggage spread out, I was able to stay very comfortably. During breaks from work, I watched Netflix and Amazon Prime using my own accounts. There are also convenience stores and drugstores right by the station, so I didn’t feel inconvenienced at all. For 3 nights and 4 days, I had an extremely comfortable stay at a surprisingly affordable price for a Tokyo Hotel.

This was my fourth stay. I love Kusatsu and visit three or four times a year, and I have stayed at La Vista Kusatsu Hills four times in a row. I am very satisfied with the large public bath, the private reservable baths, and the open-air bath in the Room. The view from the hill is also wonderful. I also enjoy the meals—not only the dinner course, but especially how delicious breakfast is.

The man at the front desk was cheerful and had a wonderful smile. His explanations were easy to understand. The Room was clean and more spacious than I expected, so I could relax. The bath has a small changing area and washing space, but you can reserve it for private use, and the bathtub is large so you can soak and unwind. Even though it was inexpensive and I didn’t expect much, this was a Hotel I was truly very satisfied with.

We stayed here for our daughter’s 3rd birthday trip. Our main plan was Yunessun, but perhaps because we told them in advance that it was a birthday trip, the staff prepared a handwritten birthday card and even a birthday plate at dinner—our daughter was so happy! There was also a kids’ space, which helped us make good use of our time, and the baths were very relaxing. During the rock-paper-scissors event, all the staff crouched down to her height to talk with her, which meant a lot to us. There was such a wide variety of food that we couldn’t finish everything. The facilities were clean and well maintained. We’re glad we made such wonderful memories! There were many other families around, so even if our child cried or got fussy, it felt normal and we didn’t have to worry too much. We’d love to come again!

I’ve traveled to Akan several times, but this was my first stay at this Accommodation. It has the feel of a long-established property, and the staff were calm, courteous, and kind. I was satisfied with both breakfast and dinner. The Onsen was very pleasant as well, but the sauna was too hot—right when I stepped in, I burned the soles of my feet. I had been looking forward to it, so it was a bit disappointing.

I stayed here for two days for an event at Yokohama Arena. Being located on the way from the station to the arena—and being able to return to my Room immediately after the show—was an irreplaceable advantage. I also really appreciated the check-in and check-out times, which allowed me to rest until the last minute. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful, and the Room was comfortable. I wasn’t especially impressed by breakfast, but it was tasty. If I have a similar opportunity again, I would definitely like to stay here again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Getting between the Main Building and the West Building is a bit unusual, but you only need to move when using the large public bath and during check-in/check-out, so it’s not much of an issue. With convenience stores and restaurants nearby, the location is very convenient, so even with No Meals Included it’s not inconvenient. I’d like to stay again if I have the chance.

We had a relaxing Obon holiday. Thank you very much. I can’t eat a lot at my age, but the steak, roast beef, and sushi were all delicious. It was also great that the sushi was made fresh on the spot. Since we were on an upper floor, the view was wonderful, and the spacious Room was very comfortable. The Room felt clean and well maintained, with thorough housekeeping. We’re already talking about coming back again.

At last, I made it to Hacienda Vison—somewhere I’d been wanting to visit for ages. As an interior lover, it had been on my list forever, but I never quite got around to it. This small Hotel has only six Rooms and is the first project designed under the direction of The Conran Shop in London, UK. I’ve always loved its mid-century feel and the way wood and natural materials are paired with black metal accents. “I want to see it.” With that feeling alone, one day I booked on impulse online. I took the first Shinkansen of the day to Taki Town in Mie Prefecture. The moment I stepped into the Room, “I want to live here.” That was all I could say. (Laughs) High ceilings, a kitchen included—everything from the furniture and lighting to the textures was exactly my taste. It felt like a space created by gathering every single thing I love into one Room. The minibar had two bottles of Acqua Panna, 100% Mie-grown satsuma mandarin juice (additive-free), Isekadoya Pale Ale, and more—all available complimentary. (Of course it’s probably included in the stay, but I can’t resist seeing “Help yourself.” (Laughs)) Even though it’s a new Hotel that opened in August 2024, they intentionally chose traditional keys instead of auto-locks. Carrying a key with a brass Room number while strolling around VISON felt like part of the Hotel’s world—such a lovely touch. Surrounded by mountains, you catch soft hints of earth and wood in the air. It reminded me of my grandmother’s house—and Hokuto City—and before I knew it, I took a deep breath. Apparently just seeing mountains and greenery instantly puts me in a better mood. (Laughs) After working up a sweat, it was time for a bath. Soaking while looking out at the garden greenery was incredibly relaxing, and the shampoo and body wash were from Bamford in England. I also loved their philosophy: “What you put on your skin is as important as what you eat.” Even down to the logo on the slippers—every detail was thoughtfully done. You can also step out into a small private garden from your Room; it felt like such an inviting space that I found myself thinking, “I want to have breakfast here tomorrow morning.” My work-filled mind during weekdays slowly quieted down just by gazing at the mountains, zoning out for a while, and taking baths. It reminded me that travel isn’t only about scenery or food—it’s about what kind of time you get to spend there. Next time, I’d love to stay in another Room too. It truly was a wonderful Hotel.

The location, the view from the Room, the front desk service, the Room atmosphere, the bath Facility, and having both a washing machine and an ice maker—everything was excellent. We especially appreciate that you kindly added an extra bed for us. If we have the chance to visit Ishigaki Island again, we would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

I stayed here during a trip. With limited Hotel options in Yonago, I chose this one mainly for its location, and it turned out to be far better than I expected! The Room and unit bath are a bit dated, but everything is clean and comfortable. Above all, the breakfast exceeded my expectations in both variety and taste—I was very satisfied. Great value for money, and highly recommended for a stay in Yonago.
