First of all, the staff’s polite and attentive service is wonderful. They even provided a brand-new sponge, and although there was no vacuum cleaner, they lent me a Quickle Wiper. In any case, it’s a very kind Hotel. It was excellent. Thank you very much.

Both the building and the Room are new and spotless, and the bed is spacious. Everything is well cleaned. Conveniently located just a short drive from Saku-Kita IC. A 7-Eleven and Tsuruya supermarket are also nearby. If you’re driving, it’s better than Accommodations around Komoro Station. (Local)

Your hospitality, the beautiful Room with a great view, and the delicious meals—everything was wonderful and made for an excellent stay. Although I often stay in Kirishima Onsen, this was my first time in Hitoyoshi Onsen, so I chose a relatively new Accommodation. It turned out to be the perfect choice, and on the way home my companion and I kept saying, “We’re glad we picked this place.” First of all, the Facility itself is new and very well cleaned, so check-in felt comfortable and pleasant. Next, the baths: both the indoor bath and open-air bath are stone-built with deep tubs; the water was pleasantly hot and gentle on the skin—truly a “beauty bath” quality—and I was very satisfied. Meals were served for both breakfast and dinner using local ingredients in thoughtful detail; everything was delicious in just the right portions. When visiting Kumamoto I had been hoping for basashi (horse sashimi), but it wasn’t included in this Plan; it was available to order separately, so I enjoyed it that way. What helped us most was assistance with making Reservations for lunch the next day and for activity facilities, as well as answering detailed questions. They kindly accommodated our requests—such as “I want to eat seasonal salt-grilled ayu” and “I’d like to try pottery on a wheel”—all with a smile. Thank you also for seeing us off even in light rain without opening an umbrella. The salt-grilled ayu at the restaurant you recommended was excellent, and we each made pottery pieces (a plate, a bowl, and a beer glass). After firing them in the kiln, they will be glazed in our requested colors that same day and then shipped to our home once finished—we’re looking forward to receiving them. I would love to visit again; however, there is one disappointing point: there is only one Room type available for stays of two or more people, so I would appreciate more options. Facing the Kanmon Straits, it was soothing to watch the ships passing through all the time. The meals were carefully selected and delicious. It was also great to be able to see the straits from the bath; however, the bath was quite crowded with many local residents, which surprised me a little. As a request, I think it would be relaxing if you could use some aroma fragrance or incense in the corridor where the Room is located.

This was my first time staying here. Having an Onsen allowed me to relax deeply. I was happy that I could use the bath all the way until morning. Since it was raining, I had dinner without going outside. The breakfast starting at 6:30 a.m. was also very helpful because I had an early departure. The staff and dining hall team were very kind, and it made my stay pleasant. Thank you very much.

Both breakfast and dinner offer a wide selection, including meat, fish, tempura, noodles, salads—everything you could want. The food is delicious. There are many kinds of desserts, and you can also take them back to your Room to enjoy. The herbal tea was excellent. The staff’s friendly greetings were wonderful. It’s a Hotel that’s hard to book, so if you get the chance, definitely give it a try.

The Room and baths were spacious, and the amenities were well stocked, making our stay very comfortable. We were able to relax at our leisure with the private open-air bath and the indoor Sakakibara Onsen. Since there was no Wi-Fi in the Room, I rated the Facility 4 stars, but it turned out to be a good opportunity to put our phones away and unwind together as a family. Dinner was plentiful—featuring a boat platter of sea bream, spiny lobster, abalone, and amberjack, as well as wagyu beef grilled on a ceramic plate—and everything was delicious. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with this Accommodation!

The front desk staff were very courteous, and both dinner and breakfast were excellent and delicious. It was disappointing that the Onsen is only available in the large public bath. The location was wonderful, and we were able to see Hashima Island. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

The Hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful. I stayed in a twin room, which was very tidy, and I appreciated that the toilet and bathroom were separate. Even though it was a weekend, the rate with breakfast included was lower than other hotels, and I enjoyed a Japanese set breakfast that was beautifully presented and just the right portion size. Overall, it was a very satisfying Hotel, and I would like to stay again.

While preserving the traditional machiya atmosphere overall, the Accommodation has been thoughtfully renovated with a focus on key areas such as the bathroom and kitchen—spacious, spotless, and highly practical. It was a comfortable space with an excellent sense of balance. Unlike a typical Hotel stay, it offered an experience that blends into the neighborhood, and I felt as if I were spending my very first day after moving in. There are many lighting fixtures, and being able to fine-tune them to suit different situations was very convenient. The complimentary local drinks—such as roasted green tea and cider—were a delightful touch that added to the travel mood. Everything from the teapot and cups to the tray and even the hair dryer had a refined design that was pleasing to look at. It was a wonderful Room combining quality with functionality. Under normal circumstances this would unquestionably be a 5-star stay, but this time I am rating it 3 stars. The guests upstairs ran around for minutes at night and again the next morning like shuttle runs, even falling loudly at times. It was noise at a level that would feel excessive even in an ordinary Hotel—and all the more so in a machiya-style place like Komado. Even if our floors were reversed and I were staying upstairs, it would still have carried through. It was extremely difficult to endure. I wanted to raise this through staff, but neither the main phone line nor the emergency contact number could be reached around 7:30 p.m. I believe this Accommodation’s core appeal is its high-quality feel that blends seamlessly into everyday life in town, so it was deeply disappointing that such noise is fundamentally incompatible with that experience. That said, if you are not paired with guests like we had this time, it will surely be an outstanding stay without complaint. Being able to look out onto the courtyard was also fantastic; it is illuminated at night and offers scenery different from daytime—I never got tired of it!

Dining They offer local specialties, and every dish is carefully prepared—everything is delicious. The staff serve portions for you and come around the table to share items, so you can enjoy the meal without getting bored. Plus, dessert can be taken back to your Room, so you can relax and enjoy it later. Baths The changing area has lockable lockers instead of baskets, so you can keep your clothes and valuables all in one place. There are two different hot spring sources, plus an open-air bath—it feels amazing. They also provide extra amenities such as face wash, heel cleaner, and peeling gel—those nice “plus alpha” touches. Room There’s a hair dryer in the Room as well, which is convenient. They provide a basket for going to the baths, slipper tags, fabric spray (Febreze), tape for catching bugs, bottled water, a toothbrush stand, cotton swabs, and more—small things that are surprisingly helpful. The slippers are not disposable; they’re the typical Ryokan style shared slippers, so if that bothers you I recommend bringing your own. They also have a free drink bar and ice pops, and not only toothbrushes but also trial-size toner lotion/skin lotion products like toner/lotion (toner), emulsion/moisturizer (milk lotion), facial cleanser, shower caps, etc. The entire property is full of thoughtful touches that really resonate with experienced travelers—things that make you think “this is exactly what’s convenient.” They held our luggage before check-in and even lent us bath towels and face towels for hot-spring hopping free of charge—it was truly helpful. We’ll definitely be back again. Thank you very much.

Excellent value for money! Close to the station, and far cleaner than you’d ever expect from the exterior. Maybe it’s been renovated? Everything is well maintained, and above all, the front desk staff are truly pleasant and welcoming. It’s also convenient for getting to both Himi and Toyama, and there aren’t many people around (which is also great!). I’d definitely like to stay here again on my next trip to Toyama. Highly recommended!

Return Visit Stayed for two nights a few years ago and was amazed by how incredible the Moor Onsen was. They even had our past stay history on record, which really showed their professionalism. At the time, we were a bit bothered by some odors in the Room and Onsen, so we “cheated” for a while with a newer Accommodation nearby (laugh). This time, we made a Reservation for a newly renovated Room. Bottom line: it was excellent! I’m not really into saunas, but I enjoyed it because you can adjust the temperature in various ways and even listen to music. There were plenty of towels, and bathrobes were provided as well. The only downside was that the open-air bath was slightly too hot. The food was delicious, and the service was flawless. If they renovate more guest rooms, we will definitely stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed the all-you-can-drink craft beer server. The open-air bath overlooking the bamboo grove was also wonderful: during the day, you can hear cicadas, and at night it has a majestic, Bamboo Cutter’s Tale atmosphere. The meals were excellent—both dinner and breakfast offered a great variety of dishes. The bar had many cocktails and Japanese whiskies, all delicious. Thank you to the bartender.

I visited with three friends. The Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The food was also delicious, making it a wonderful memory. It was my first time visiting Wakasa, and I would love to come again.

We stayed here as a reward trip after retirement. After checking the website and guests’ YouTube videos, our expectations were at the maximum—and they were fully met. We were lucky with the weather and could enjoy the Okinawa-blue sea from the terrace, so clear that we could see all the way to the bottom. At night, we lay on the terrace bed and gazed up at a sky full of stars. We visit Okinawa’s main island several times every year and have stayed at a wide range of places, from casual Hotels to luxury Hotels, but this Accommodation was our top recommendation for a true escape from everyday life! It was a little disappointing that a building previously used for weddings remains and blocks part of the sunset view, but other than that we were completely satisfied. We would love to stay again.

This was my first time staying in a villa on a trip to Karuizawa! It’s an Accommodation I’d recommend if you want a truly out-of-the-ordinary getaway. We stayed in a private rental villa, and the moment we stepped into the Room, we were excited by the stylish space filled with the warmth of wood. There was an outdoor living area and a fireplace. Lighting the fireplace cost extra (1,100 yen), but it added such a chic touch. There was also a theater room and even a hammock, so there’s plenty to enjoy indoors as well. The Facilities were well equipped, with a kitchen and BBQ area—perfect for anyone who wants to relax and spend quality time with friends or family. The surroundings were quiet and immersed in nature, making both the morning air and nighttime atmosphere absolutely wonderful. The staff were courteous, and we felt comfortable from check-in onward. Everything was clean, and it felt like even the smallest details were well maintained. We chose this place because many Reviews mentioned how comfortable and clean the Facilities are—and that they wanted to return—so we’re glad we did. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy a luxurious stay in Karuizawa that’s different from an ordinary Hotel.
