We stayed as a family of five (myself, my wife, and our three children) with a Plan that included admission to Nasu Highland Park plus the all-you-can-ride Fantasy Pass. On the morning of our stay, we received the tickets from the owner and enjoyed Nasu Highland Park to the fullest until closing time. After that, we headed to this pension, which is very close—about a 5-minute drive away. When we arrived, the owner and his wife welcomed us warmly, and our travel fatigue melted away. The connecting Room with two adjoining rooms was such a treat for families—our kids were excited saying, “This is different from usual!” The private family bath we reserved before dinner used groundwater, and it warmed us through just like an Onsen—so relaxing and comfortable. Dinner was a course meal, and everything was truly delicious—we were completely satisfied. The highlight was the steak served with a yogurt-based sauce; both my wife and I were genuinely impressed. Rice refills were free, and it was so good that we couldn’t help getting seconds. After dinner there was an impressive variety of desserts—rare cheesecake, caramel pudding, chocolate cake, fruit, and more—and enjoying them with chai tea was perfect. At night it was very quiet around the Accommodation. After the kids fell asleep, my wife and I could relax together. One of our children had a nosebleed at night and slightly stained the sheets. When I told them about it, they smiled and said kindly: “No problem at all. Thank you for letting us know.” They mentioned that some guests leave without saying anything even if something gets dirty; moments like this really showed how warm-hearted they are. Breakfast the next morning featured freshly baked bread with dips and dressings—hearty portions that left us full from early on. We took it easy until close to checkout time before heading home. When we left, they saw us off until our car disappeared from view—it made us feel truly welcomed. Our kids were happy they spoke to them too; even after returning home they kept saying “We want to go again!” It’s about an hour and a half from our house, but this Accommodation left a lasting impression with its relaxed pension atmosphere, heartfelt homemade cooking, and the kindness of the owner couple. We would love to visit again as a family soon.

We were a bit worried about the mountain road on the way there, but once we entered the building, it was amazing! Everything was clean and well maintained, and we were very satisfied with the tableware, seasonings, and amenities. We’d love to stay again.

I stayed here with No Meals Included before a mountain climbing trip and had a very comfortable experience. Despite arriving late at night and leaving early in the morning, the high level of hospitality and cozy atmosphere made for a highly satisfying stay.

The renovated traditional house features a charming courtyard and tasteful interior design. With three spacious and clean bedrooms, it provided a wonderful setting for creating memorable moments with family.

I stayed with one owner and a small dog. The semi-basement cafe offers breakfast and lunch, is pet-friendly, and allowed me to relax with my dog the next morning. There are stairs up to the Room on the second floor, but the staff helped carry my luggage. The design and construction are very stylish, everything was spotless, and I was extremely satisfied with the Room. The size was just right for a single stay, and there was also space by the entrance to easily place a large suitcase or a pet stroller, so it felt spacious. A pet crate and all necessary supplies were provided, so I had no issues at all. Luggage storage before check-in is also available at the first-floor cafe. There are conveyor-belt sushi restaurants and family restaurants nearby, so finding dinner is easy. Since the Room has a kitchen and washing machine, it’s also suitable for a Multiple Night Stay. I highly recommend this Hotel—there’s nowhere else in central Tokyo where you can stay this cheaply. I plan to stay again.

Overall, it was a clean Hotel, and a very pleasant scent greeted us as soon as we entered.\nOur Room was on the second floor, and since there is only stair access, it may be difficult for some guests.\nAlso, some people might have trouble finding the parking area, so I recommend checking Google Maps in advance.\nThe parking lot is behind the Hotel, in front of a temple cemetery. The road is narrow, so please be careful.\nThere is a smoking area just before the entrance from the parking lot to the front desk. If you dislike cigarette smoke, you may find this unpleasant.

This is a dog-friendly Accommodation that makes an excellent base for sightseeing in Nagano. Access to many different places was very convenient. It’s a unique style of Accommodation where you rent one unit of an apartment, but the Room was spacious and our dog could relax comfortably. It also seemed like the entire apartment building is dog-friendly, which made us feel at ease in such a pet-welcoming environment. In addition, all the dog supplies were perfectly prepared, so we had no inconvenience at all. You can really tell the owner is a true dog lover. We love Nagano and visit often, so from now on we’d like to stay at Emi Lumiere every time. Thank you very much for our 2 nights and 3 days. We look forward to staying again!

I stayed on Sunday. I have stayed at this Hotel before it became LiVEMAX, and the newly added bath was a great improvement. This time I visited by motorcycle, but there seem to be only a limited number of parking spaces on the property, so that may be the only drawback. Other than that, considering the price, it was a very good value stay. The smoking rooms were cheaper than the non-smoking rooms, so I chose a smoking room, but I didn’t notice any odor.

I stayed here the day before moving to Fujisawa. The place was not only new but also very stylish and even more comfortable than I expected. I’d love to recommend it to friends. It’s a shame I couldn’t figure out how to use the Nespresso coffee machine, but overall I was very satisfied!

Six of us stayed—five adults and a 4-month-old baby—and the place was spacious and relaxing. The amenities were thoughtfully provided; we were surprised to find two ReFa hair dryers. We stayed for two nights, and there were plenty of bath towels and face towels, so we could use them freely without worry. There’s a Seicomart next door and a 24-hour sandwich shop across the street—an excellent location. We’d love to stay again.

It was very nice. We were very satisfied with how dog-friendly it was. We’re planning to stay again at a different location.

Everything was perfect, beyond expectations. I was truly moved by the exceptional hospitality—it might be the first time I've experienced such flawless service. The appliances and items provided were clean and beautifully arranged, and the traditional crafts were deeply captivating. The open-air bath and stone sauna created a truly relaxing atmosphere. I also found it to be very cost-effective.

The bath settings were a bit unfamiliar, but everything, including the bathroom and bed, was clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped with all necessary utensils, which was very convenient. A clean beach with no debris is right in front of the property, offering a quiet and pleasant environment. At night, the starry sky added to the memorable stay.

It was a wonderful place. Although it’s a traditional farmhouse with a thatched roof, the interior is modern and well equipped with appliances. They also prepared the ingredients for us, so we were able to enjoy our stay with friends. We’d love to come again.

Despite being in a top-class Onsen area, it’s very affordable, yet nothing feels lacking—excellent value for money. I remember staying here once about 10 years ago, but the check-in process has changed significantly and the Room is now more comfortable. I’ve stayed at various Accommodations with unmanned check-in, and this one was relatively easy to use smoothly. These days, being able to use a smartphone is essentially a requirement for staying here, so that’s the only thing to keep in mind—but you’ll be fine once you get used to it. If I have the chance, I’d like to come again.

All the staff are wonderful. It was so relaxing. The food is also simply delicious. I think it’s a lovely Hotel.

We stayed here as a couple. On the second day, we used the private family bath. The Shigaraki-ware tanuki bathtub created a wonderful atmosphere. Enjoying the open-air bath in the morning felt truly luxurious. However, there was no shampoo or body soap provided, which was disappointing. The meals were delicious, and with a wide selection of local Shiga sake, we ended up finishing everything while feeling pleasantly relaxed. This is an Accommodation we would definitely like to visit again.
