This is a compact Accommodation. While the building has some age, it is kept very clean, and its compact size makes it easy to access the baths and dining area, making for a very comfortable stay. Our Room was on the first floor, but the view was outstanding—true to the Accommodation’s name, it was a spectacular panorama! The baths were my favorite type—an alkaline spring with a silky feel—and the view from the open-air bath was also breathtaking. For dinner we chose the “Bliss Course,” and that was absolutely the right choice: a wonderful meal packed with Sendai’s flavors. The Sendai Kuroge Wagyu beef grilled on magnolia leaves was tender and generous in portion, and the miso seasoning was exceptional. The beef tongue was also thick and tender; we had planned to eat beef tongue again the next day, but dinner left us completely satisfied, so our whole family agreed we didn’t need to—and we were able to keep our expenses down as well. The seafood and sashimi were delicious too; even the scallops were thick, and everything we tried was satisfying. Breakfast also included hot pot dishes and sashimi—almost like a light version of an inn-style dinner—and we left completely full. This is an Accommodation I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

This was my first time visiting Ikaho Onsen. The Hotel we stayed at, Seikanso, has a long history, and while the building does show its age, that gives it character and is a good thing. The Room had been renovated and was nice; however, the carpeted area by the window where the sofa is felt old and had an unpleasant lingering odor that seemed to have built up over many years. The fabric sofa also had a similar smell, so I ventilated the Room whenever I returned. I understand that investing in upgrades can be difficult, but this part was disappointing. That said, the staff’s hospitality was excellent, and I am very grateful.

The service was very attentive, and the Room was clean—overall, I’m very satisfied. Next time, I’d like to try the breakfast as well.

I’ve stayed in many places, but this was the best. The Room was clean and well maintained, and the front desk staff were very polite and attentive. There are no meals provided, but they kindly recommended nearby restaurants. I definitely want to stay here again.

We were soothed by the greenery visible through the large windows and enjoyed a relaxing, luxurious stay. The weather was great, and it was wonderful to have tea and breakfast outside while listening to birdsong. We were also deeply moved by an unexpected surprise—a herd of deer came to graze nearby. We would love to visit again.

The Accommodation offered a very clean Room with a luxurious feel. Staying overnight allowed me to attend the morning service, and afterward I was able to view the gardens of Chishaku-in Temple, making for a truly fulfilling morning. If you are visiting Kyoto, I highly recommend staying here and experiencing it for yourself.

We stayed as a family. The Room is equipped with a kitchen and microwave, so we were able to stay comfortably even with small children. Baby items can also be borrowed by asking the front desk. We would like to stay again and highly recommend it.

This was my second stay this year because I particularly enjoyed the food last time. Originally a bank's retreat, the compact front desk and building layout reflect its history. There is no greeting upon arrival, luggage assistance, or farewell service (you carry your luggage to the third-floor front desk yourself and leave on your own). However, I appreciate the stunning ocean view from the hilltop location and the cozy atmosphere with only 10 rooms. The Onsen features a 78-degree natural hot spring source, with a slightly small but pleasant open-air bath and high-quality massage chairs. This time, I stayed in a Western-style room near the elevator that was added later; it was spacious, clean, and had comfortable beds. The only downside was that the sink and toilet were adjacent without separation—though it did provide an open feel upon reflection. Dinner could only be enjoyed at the restaurant (unlike last time when in-room dining allowed for more relaxation), which was disappointing as wearing loungewear is not permitted—I would have preferred to dine in a relaxed atmosphere in loungewear. Starting February next year, dinner times will shift to two seatings; however, I hope they maintain flexibility like now where you can choose every 30 minutes. The food met expectations—delicious despite not using particularly expensive ingredients—with intricate sauces and beautiful presentation that truly felt like fine cuisine. Breakfast also offered plenty of variety and quality. Before dinner at the lounge, I ordered Royal Milk Tea which was so delicious that I ordered it again in the morning while enjoying an elegant atmosphere with ocean views through large windows. A staff member kindly offered to take my photo during this time while explaining distant scenery details—a friendly gesture that elevated my impression of this accommodation’s overall service level. Its convenient distance from Osaka makes me want to visit again!

Upon arrival, your son—nearly three years old now—welcomed us with a cheerful “Welcome.” His slightly shy expression was so adorable that it instantly brought a smile to our faces. Having known him since he was a baby, seeing him again each year is one of the reasons we keep coming back. This time we stayed in the Room “Hagoromo.” From the spacious veranda, we could lie back at night and gaze up at a sky full of stars. Spending time there in the pleasant evening breeze, pleasantly tipsy after dinner and drinks, felt like pure luxury. The cuisine was a summer herbal course. The mousse-like sauce made with herbal broth had a distinctive depth of flavor—I couldn’t resist asking for a spoon and enjoyed every last drop. The tomato simmered in herbal broth and served chilled also had more of a Western touch than before, making it an elegant and refreshing dish. The happy-hour herbal-syrup frappe was perfect for cooling down after our walk; it felt truly reviving. The morning coffee also tasted exceptional, so I asked about it and learned they use rare peaberry beans. Because only one bean develops instead of the usual two, the flavor is said to be more concentrated—and I was told the owner carefully roasts them from green beans himself. I was deeply impressed to see the same sincere dedication found in their herbal cuisine reflected in their coffee as well. Once again during our meal, the proprietress spoke with us warmly by our side. I started writing Reviews after last year’s visit, and looking back, I realized that Accommodations I rated highly always shared one thing: heartfelt hospitality with true attention to detail. This Accommodation embodies that better than anywhere else—and I feel that even more strongly now.

This time, I chose the Bulgari Hotel so my family member could relax as much as possible before leaving for a long business trip to obtain an additional work qualification. As soon as we entered the Room, we were thrilled by the great view—Tokyo Skytree and Rainbow Bridge were visible. Just as we were told that it would be even more beautiful at night, it was sparkling and stunning. The welcome dessert was delicious, and we enjoyed it with Bulgari peach juice. The amenities were wonderful, and I was happy to find heartfelt words written on the message card. We had dinner at Aman, and when we returned to the Hotel, there was also a gift from Bulgari waiting for us. There were so many moments that made me feel truly glad we chose this Hotel, and we had a wonderful time. Most of all, I was genuinely happy to see my family member spending time with a smile. After dinner, we went to the Bulgari Bar and enjoyed ice cream, tiramisu, and à la carte items in a spot with a great view. The à la carte items and welcome drink were complimentary, so we felt full and satisfied and were able to go to bed early. In the morning, we took our time until 9:30 before having breakfast. Then we relaxed in the Room again until after 11:30 before leaving the Hotel. I’m grateful that we could spend such a lovely time—it made me feel truly happy. I sincerely appreciate all of the staff at the Bulgari Hotel for their wonderful hospitality. I would definitely like to stay again.

The Onsen water had a very silky, slippery feel—unlike anything I’ve experienced before—and it was wonderful. Since it was before Golden Week, there were very few guests and it was quiet, so I could relax. Dinner was extremely luxurious, and I’m sorry I couldn’t finish it all. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves Onsen.

The staff struck just the right balance, and both the meals and the soothing hot spring were wonderful. It was a fantastic free-flowing bath with no chlorine smell. We enjoyed an affordable stay, drank plenty of beer, and were treated to Shuttle Service by car—truly a luxurious time. Thank you very much.

The Room also has a private Onsen bath, and there are four private baths as well—an impressive level of facilities for a pension. The meals offered many dishes, were beautifully colorful, and were very satisfying. We felt thoughtful attention to detail throughout. This is an Accommodation we’d like to return to. We requested an after-bath beer at check-in; we probably should have put it in the refrigerator. It would have been nice to have local craft beer, and we only realized later that we could exchange the in-house wear size, so we rated it 4—but overall it’s basically all 5s. We could also see Lake Inawashiro from the Room.

This was our second stay, and we had a very comfortable time again. At dinner, we asked to have the Izu red wine chilled again, and we were happy that a waiter remembered us. From arrival at the entrance to departure, it is a wonderful Hotel.

This is an excellent Hotel in every respect—Room cleanliness, staff hospitality, delicious meals, and amenities such as towels and slippers. The location is also great, and my daughter always looks forward to visiting the Familia flagship store. You won’t have any trouble finding dinner options nearby. It has become our regular Accommodation whenever we stay in Kobe.

This was our first stay, and the Hotel was truly wonderful, just as we had heard. Since we had a Room with a terrace, we were delighted to enjoy the greenery through windows on two sides. Breakfast, tea at the café, and the French dinner were all delicious—we were completely satisfied. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, with just the right sense of distance, and made a great impression. Thanks to them, we were able to relax completely. We definitely want to stay again and are already looking forward to our next visit.

This time, the meals were upgraded. It’s not like the all-inclusive plans at luxury Accommodations, but it’s just right. Everything feels just right. From the quality of the Onsen I love, to the place being old yet always kept clean and tidy, and how I never get bored no matter how many times I visit or how long I stay. I don’t know why I love it this much, but I’ll be back!

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary trip—our first visit to Sanriku since the earthquake. We were excited, wondering what kind of Hotel it would be, and were surprised to learn that members of the Imperial Family have stayed here! There were rows of photos displayed in front of the elevators on the lobby floor. Wondering what our Room would be like, we entered the one assigned to us—and right in front of us was a panoramic view of Jodogahama! We couldn’t help saying to each other, “What a great Room!” After taking in the view, we headed straight to the large public bath. It also had an open-air bath, and we enjoyed a relaxing soak. Since we had time before dinner, we spent it singing karaoke—by then we were nicely hungry. Dinner was a luxurious buffet, featuring live kitchen stations for nigiri sushi and steak—our first time experiencing that. There were also many local dishes, and we ended up far beyond full. We had breakfast early at 6:30: a buffet seafood rice bowl where you can choose your favorite toppings. Although it was unfortunately raining outside, the sea view had an atmospheric beauty like an ink painting. It became a truly memorable anniversary trip. As we left the Hotel, we talked about wanting to come back again for another anniversary in a few years’ time. Finally, thank you so much to all the staff for your wonderful hospitality!

We stayed here to celebrate my partner’s birthday. First of all, the Accommodation’s location is outstanding—the open-air bath overlooking the coastline, the indoor dining area, and the view from the terrace are simply breathtaking. The highlight at the start was a seaside drive experience with the owner in what could be called this Accommodation’s mascot: a Rolls-Royce Dawn. The refined yet distinctive interior and carpet-like ride comfort were unforgettable, and as a car enthusiast, seeing the Lamborghini displayed at the entrance was also a rare and amazing experience. That said, this stay wasn’t about me—it was about my partner. She was delighted with everything: the drive experience, the huge in-room theater, the silky-smooth hot spring water, and the luxurious meals. She also loved the whole cake and the laser message, and I felt this Accommodation offers an excellent balance of surprise touches and comfort. The staff’s attentiveness and hospitality were wonderful as well. It’s quite far from our home, but we would love to return if we have another chance.

The Room was spotless and thoroughly cleaned, and the amenities were well stocked. I stayed with breakfast included; it was a buffet with a wide variety of options, and the dishes changed slightly each day, which was great. Also, I only found out after arriving that there was an Onsen, but it helped relieve my fatigue and was very relaxing.
