The view is beautiful. The room is very spacious. At night, it gets completely dark, and if there are no clouds, the stars are stunning. The hotel's service is excellent. Although I didn’t use it, there is a pool available. The surroundings consist of fields, forests, and cows. It reminded me of an old but charming hotel in Ubud, Bali. For dining or shopping, you can reach the town by car in about 10 minutes. Both the airport and the town are nearby. The hotel offers a morning restaurant and drink vending machines; there might have been cup noodles available too (though I didn’t try them). The facility is somewhat old but functional. Hot showers work well, and the air conditioning was effective. While geckos may occasionally appear (as they do in Bali), I didn’t encounter any during my stay—they’re harmless anyway! There were a few small ants in the bathtub at one point but washing them away with water solved that issue. I made a last-minute reservation during peak season at what I thought was a reasonable price. If you’re concerned about some of these minor drawbacks mentioned above, this place might not be for you; however, if they don’t bother you much, your satisfaction will likely be high. I would love to stay here again!

We visited to see the moss phlox at Hitsujiyama Park. The Accommodation offered a free stargazing tour, and we had a wonderful time. Every staff member was truly hospitable. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

This was my first visit. About a 20-minute taxi ride from Kibune, after passing through a peaceful satoyama countryside, you’ll find this culinary Ryokan by the Sanzen-in temple gate. Upon arrival, the staff welcomed us with attentive service and treated us to shiso juice. The Room faced the garden and was a calming Japanese-style space. They said they bring Onsen water from Sanzen-in, and I was able to relax and unwind in the open-air bath. The lounge area was well stocked with drinks and ice cream, which was great. Dinner starts at 6:00 PM, but since we had a late lunch, they kindly let us delay it by 30 minutes, which really helped. The dishes were beautifully presented, and everything was delicious. The appetizer featuring an Aoi Matsuri festival float decoration included Chinese lantern plant (hozuki), which made me feel the season. The pike conger (hamo) and sweetfish (ayu) were also beautifully plated and very tasty. Everyone at the Ryokan was truly kind, and their courteous service made me very happy. The Shuttle Service by bus was also extremely helpful. I’d love to visit again. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.

I traveled with my elderly mother, who uses a wheelchair. There was a small step along the road at first, but the staff came immediately and provided heartfelt hospitality, making it a delightful two days for my mother. All the staff were kind and pleasant. We were truly taken care of, including an upgrade to the room. Thank you very much. Since Nishiki Market and Daimaru are nearby, we would love to stay again. The room was clean, and I highly recommend it!

Stayed at the accommodation after a long time. The quality of the room, the garden view from the window—everything was truly wonderful. The location is also excellent. Additionally, it felt like the service has improved significantly compared to before. I was able to relax and enjoy my stay. I was delighted to receive a stollen for Christmas as well. On the morning of the 24th, I searched for and booked a Hotel with a large public bath nearby so I could watch the Gion Festival yamahoko “tsujimawashi” at Kawaramachi Oike. It was absolutely the right choice! From the subtly Kyoto-style entrance, everything felt welcoming—especially the front desk staff, whose excellent service instantly eased my fatigue from traveling in extreme heat. I was satisfied as soon as I entered the Room. It’s a take-off-your-shoes style, and the clean Room along with its layout and furnishings made it feel like coming home. Having all water facilities grouped together right by the entrance is very convenient. Since there is a large public bath, the shower booth in the Room was more than enough. While many Hotels these days don’t provide sofas or tables, I really appreciated having a long sofa you can lie down on, an armchair-style single sofa, and a table that’s plenty for two people. There are many great restaurants nearby, so it was nice to have a setup that makes takeout easy to enjoy in the Room. The lighting controls were easy to understand, with thoughtful touches like an individual bedside light and options for indirect lighting throughout the Room. The bed was very comfortable—even with sensitive skin and being sensitive to smells, I slept soundly. The linens—especially the pajamas—were high quality and perfectly laundered; cleaning standards were excellent overall, including towels for the large public bath. Water came in stylish Ito En bottle-type containers that were replenished again on the second day and convenient to carry around. Tea, coffee, and black tea were also restocked, and I was happy they even provided wine glasses. At the entrance to/fromthe large public bath area there were two types of vinegar drinks that helped me stay balanced during summer heat. As for views: you can see mountains inthe distance,but right next door is an apartment balcony,and below is temple cemetery grounds,s oI keptthe blinds downand used indirect lighting.(I usedto livein Teramachi,s o cemeteries don’t bother me.)Since windows are frosted glassin springand autumn too,I think it won’t be an issue unless you wantto open them fully.The hospitality at this Hotel more than made upfor it.I didn’t add breakfast,but usedthe attached grillfor lunchand cocktail time,and enjoyed both.I’d love to stay at this Accommodation again.

We stayed as a family of four, including a couple and two children. The staff were very courteous and made our stay extremely enjoyable. We appreciated them preparing fishing bait for us and cooking the fish we caught. Each dish was incredibly delicious, though dinner portions seemed slightly small for the men in our group. Next time, we would love to stay for two nights during the pool season.

This long-established soft-shelled turtle restaurant was outstanding in every way—the cuisine, the atmosphere, and the staff’s service. The Accommodation Room was also calm and relaxing throughout, making it a truly enjoyable trip. The proprietress was also wonderful, and I would love to visit again.

My stay at “Fuji Seiran” in Toda Onsen was truly special and left a lasting impression. What struck me first was the location. From the guest rooms and many areas throughout the property, you can enjoy luxurious views of Mt. Fuji, a UNESCO World Heritage site, creating a wonderful sense of being one with nature. On the day I visited, the sky had cleared after a typhoon, and the air was astonishingly crisp—Mt. Fuji’s silhouette stood out sharply in the distance. At sunset, the beauty of the sky was simply beyond words. The room featured a refined modern Japanese design that balanced calm comfort with an upscale feel. Sitting by the window and taking in the scenery at leisure was a truly indulgent moment that made me forget everyday noise and stress. The Onsen was also excellent—gentle on the skin, and afterward I could feel warmth reaching deep into my body. Dinner left an especially strong impression. Using abundant local ingredients from Izu, each dish showcased what makes this area unique: fresh seafood and seasonal vegetables prepared with great care one by one. Everything was beautifully presented, delighting not only my palate but also my eyes. The cuisine brought out the best of local ingredients and made my trip even more satisfying. The staff were exceptionally courteous, with thoughtful attention to detail throughout my stay. In particular, Ms./Mr. S not only explained details about the Accommodation but also shared knowledge about local highlights and ingredients—and our conversations were genuinely enjoyable as well. Thank you very much. From check-in to check-out, I felt comfortable at every moment thanks to this high level of hospitality. With nature, views, cuisine, and relaxation all coming together perfectly, Fuji Seiran is an Accommodation I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an extraordinary getaway. It was a memorable stay that made me sincerely want to return again someday.

Thank you for taking care of us over the New Year holidays. It felt like a peaceful retreat, surrounded by the quiet of nature away from the crowds. The wood interior was calming, and our family was able to relax while our dog ran around the yard in excitement and enjoyed it to the fullest. The sukiyaki dinner, made with locally sourced ingredients, was excellent in both taste and portion size. The selection of wines was also very delicious. Breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes and was just as satisfying; the grilled salmon was perfectly cooked—fluffy and outstanding. We would love to stay at LAKOTAN again to enjoy the scenery that changes with each season.

I recently stayed here for one night and two days with my grandmother. The staff were extremely courteous, and they kindly assisted us with the Shuttle Service and more, so we were able to spend our time comfortably from start to finish. The Room was wonderful, and the location was perfect. In particular, the open-air bath in the Room allowed us to relax without worrying about others, and we enjoyed a truly luxurious time together. My grandmother was very happy as well, and it became a wonderful memory for us. I would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

The villa was more spacious and cleaner than we expected—almost too luxurious for just the two of us. The large open-air bath outside was wonderfully relaxing, and we enjoyed the Onsen while feeling close to nature, soaking many times. Mt. Yufu looked beautiful right in front of us, and the indoor Onsen bath was also great. We only had breakfast, but it was prepared in the refrigerator, so we could eat at whatever time we liked in the kitchen, and it was delicious. We’d love to stay again in a different season.

I have stayed at Onsen accommodations before, but this time we decided to visit Oushuku Onsen and chose Kawanaga. The hospitality was wonderful, perfectly matching the quality one expects from a Ryokan. The signboard with "Welcome [Your Name] Party" had a nostalgic Showa-era charm that made me happy. The floors were polished beautifully, and the futons in the room were fluffy and comfortable. Although the faucet in the indoor bath showed some age, it was well-maintained and clean. The outdoor Onsen is 100% natural spring water, so it was slightly lukewarm; however, this allowed for longer soaks without feeling fatigued—a great feature! The road leading to this Ryokan during autumn is lined with golden rice fields. The Akita Komachi rice served here was incredibly delicious—perhaps even more so because I had just admired those golden fields beforehand! The Hittsumi soup was also delightful. This is a quiet accommodation where you can truly relax—I highly recommend it!

There is an accommodation nestled in a forested hill within walking distance from Nakatsugawa Station. The expansive grounds are lush with greenery and feature scattered traditional detached buildings, exuding the charm of a mountain retreat. Surrounded by garden stones, plants, and tea flowers, the landscaping is meticulously maintained. The historic buildings showcase aged materials and fittings that reflect their history and character but are kept impeccably clean. Each unit has been updated with a spacious unit bath equipped with a washing area and modern toilet facilities for convenient use at any time. One of the detached buildings houses large communal baths for men and women, each featuring rectangular stone bathtubs that can accommodate several people along with two washing areas. Large glass windows open fully to reveal views of the bright forest outside. While not an onsen, it offers an atmosphere reminiscent of one. The accommodation is conveniently located near Magome and Tsumago, attracting many international guests seeking its unique ambiance. Meals are served in private dining rooms within separate annexes where guests can enjoy dishes at tables with chairs. The cuisine features innovative rural delicacies inspired by tea kaiseki style, showcasing creativity and meticulous preparation in every dish. Pure rice sake available in the room's refrigerator pairs perfectly with these meals. Nights here are quiet, offering warmth despite being housed in old Japanese-style architecture known for its gaps between structures. The hospitality provided by the staff adds to this warm experience as well.

From the Room’s large window, I could see small boats stored away. It was quiet and completely silent. The meals were enhanced by the aroma of olive oil, bringing out the natural flavors of the ingredients. I would like to return.

It was exactly the experience we expected from staying at a brewery. Additionally, there were many positive experiences such as visiting nearby Onsen and the port, making it a very pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming as well.
