We stayed with a group of seven. When we arrived, there were complimentary snacks and other food items provided. Most essentials for daily living were available, and the TV was very nice, so we felt you could stay comfortably as long as you bring clothes and meals. The beds and futons were also comfortable, making it easy to sleep well. Overall, we think you can enjoy a stress-free stay.

I had been interested in this facility for a long time and finally got the chance to visit. This trip was also to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday, and she was truly delighted. We were even given flowers by the staff, which deeply moved her. The onsen experience was wonderful. The walking bath requires swimwear (free rental available for guests) and is 50 meters one way. The water temperature is on the cooler side, but it was perfect for exercise. There are two open-air baths along the walking bath where you can warm up while enjoying the serene flow of Serikawa River nearby. Even though it rained during our visit, there were roofs that kept us comfortable, and the beautifully maintained plants around looked stunning with raindrops on them—some flowers were blooming too, adding to the atmosphere. There’s also a low-temperature sauna where swimwear is required as well as spacious indoor baths that can be enjoyed without swimwear. What stood out most was the food—it was absolutely exceptional! Every dish was not only visually stunning but also incredibly delicious. The order and combination of courses were thoughtfully planned out. The main course featuring Bungo beef steak was exquisite, and the sashimi had outstanding freshness with generous portions provided. Being able to enjoy such top-tier cuisine prepared by a skilled chef at this price point felt like an incredible privilege! Breakfast too exceeded all expectations. The cottage-style accommodation units were impeccably clean and very comfortable to stay in. One minor downside we noticed: doors at places like restrooms or room entrances closed quickly instead of softly shutting—they almost caught our feet once or twice—so I’m deducting one star for safety concerns here. That said, we are extremely satisfied with this amazing facility overall after such a long time since encountering something so wonderful. Next time we plan to bring along our children’s families or friends! Thank you so much for everything during this stay!

We stayed as a family of four. The location is excellent—close to the station end of Komachi-dori Shopping Street—making sightseeing and shopping very convenient. The Room is lovely, clean, stylish, and has a great atmosphere. My wife liked it so much she wished we could stay another night. The bed is spacious, and sleeping all four of us felt quite luxurious. The tableware is well stocked, so whether you cook or share takeout, everything works smoothly. You can also feel the owner’s thoughtfulness throughout, and the pre-stay support was thorough; overall, it’s an Accommodation where you can relax and enjoy your time in Kamakura with peace of mind. We’d love to stay here again when we return to Kamakura.

Your flexibility and kindness in handling shuttle service and even accepting luggage in advance were incredibly helpful, and I am deeply grateful. The Room was spacious with high ceilings, and we could see the forest from the window. The windows were large too, giving it an amazing open feel! The welcome daifuku (handmade by your daughter, I heard) was just as delicious as rumored—perfect since I was a little hungry. I was the first to use the bath, and the changing area was very spacious and extremely clean, so I could relax and enjoy it comfortably. Every meal was made with such care and tasted wonderful! I ended up having three glasses of wine. I was traveling solo, but the host and hostess kindly chatted with me, which made dinner truly enjoyable. Even though it was my first visit, they treated me no differently from regular guests, which genuinely made me happy. Unexpectedly, I came down with severe muscle soreness from hiking downhill, and they prepared cold patches, Tiger Balm, and even magnesium for me. Thanks to that, I didn’t need to go to a pharmacy—and by the day I left, going up and down stairs had become much easier. I’m truly grateful for such a warm welcome. I will definitely come again! Next time, I’d love to try your hamburger as well! Lastly, the peach tart served two nights in a row was incredible! You said it was handmade from the crust up—the buttery pastry really stood out, and there were two kinds of cream inside the peaches. It was absolutely delicious. It turned into a truly wonderful stay. I’ll be back again—thank you so much!!

I made a Reservation for the same Room as last year. It felt like coming home (lol). The location is great too—there’s a 24-hour supermarket nearby, and Kokusai-dori is close. If you’re driving, parking might be a bit challenging. There is parking under the building, but it’s narrow, and even if you park there, you may worry about an inexperienced driver bumping into your car. I’d love to stay again. This Hotel offers a beautiful contrast: sugarcane fields right in front, and beyond them the Miyako Blue sea with Irabu Bridge in view. From the 2nd floor we could see the ocean, but I don’t think it’s visible from the 1st floor. The Room is a 10-tatami-size studio. The toilet and bath are separate, and the bathtub is spacious, so it feels comfortable to stay in. There were twin beds and a sofa, and amenities such as a refrigerator, kettle, and hair dryer were provided. The only thing missing was pajamas. The location is between a residential area and sugarcane fields. The roads are narrow and winding, so without navigation—especially at night when it’s very dark—you may not be able to find it. I recommend setting your GPS before you go! Recommended for solo travelers or two friends who want to keep costs down while still enjoying a comfortable stay at a Hotel. As is common in Miyako/Okinawa, small insects may get into the Room sometimes—it’s probably unavoidable. It’s about a 10-minute drive from the Hotel to Hirara downtown. About a 20-minute walk to the nearest supermarket around the Hotel! There were several restaurants/cafes along the road in front of the Hotel. A rental car is likely best. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the sea where you can overlook Irabu Bridge.

We visited with five families of friends. We were very satisfied. Both the fire-starting experience and stargazing became wonderful memories.

Thank you very much. I made a last-minute Reservation the day before while touring Hokkaido, and I was really grateful for the clean Room, the bath available anytime, and the two meals included. I also appreciated being able to enjoy coffee and tea freely. When I visit Hokkaido again, I would definitely like to stay here.

It was very clean and comfortable. I could really feel the attention to detail and thoughtfulness in the amenities. The number locks at the entrance to the Accommodation building and on the Room door were a bit of a hassle, but they make sense from a security standpoint. There were only a few guests, so it felt almost like having the place to ourselves and we could use it spaciously. At night in the BAR (shared living room), I had a short chat with the owner at the counter. If there had been more guests, I think I could have enjoyed even more interaction. Just note that meals are not provided. How you use the dining/drinking space (shared living room) is up to you. It isn’t cheap for private Room use, but it was an Accommodation I felt was well worth it—and I was very satisfied.

We stayed with three people. Since it’s a 2LDK, having separate bedrooms is really nice. The view is amazing! We also appreciated that there were plenty of towels. It would be helpful if a drying rack for laundry could be placed in the Room from the start. We stayed here two years in a row. We’d like to choose this place again.

I booked the day before and stayed here. It’s a Hotel with a rental-room concept. Everything was very clean, and I was able to stay with zero stress. It’s in a great location right in Kanazawa’s downtown area, very affordable, and my girlfriend was extremely satisfied as well. I have a feeling it will become popular soon and harder to get a Reservation.

Although we didn’t have a chance to use it this time, the kitchen had a hot plate and plenty of tableware, so it seemed easy to cook a variety of meals if you bring your own ingredients. The Room had a calm log-cabin feel with warm wood throughout, and it was clean and well maintained, making it very relaxing. The owner was friendly and gentle; even though we chose No Meals Included this time, they shared lots of recommendations for nearby spots. Since there aren’t any places to eat close by, we plan to book a meal plan next time.

My wife and I stayed here together. For the past five years or so, we’ve been traveling out of the prefecture about once every month or two. We’re not the type to spend a lot on where we stay. New chain Hotels aren’t bad, but sometimes the cleaning isn’t thorough or the service feels a bit careless. This time, I thought it might be nice to stay at a slightly older Hotel, so we chose Business Hotel Katsuya. The Room (Japanese-style with a unit bath) and the shared bathhouse are a bit dated, but they are very well maintained, so we had a comfortable stay. The staff were courteous, and breakfast was delicious Japanese food (rice, salted grilled salmon, ham and salad, pickles, seasoned nori seaweed, egg tofu, small side dish with vinegar dressing, and miso soup). Coffee was also included as self-service, which we appreciated. Thanks to that, we were able to start the next morning feeling refreshed and enjoy sightseeing all day. I’d like to stay here again when traveling to Wakayama.

I stay here every year for work in the area. First of all, I like that it’s reasonably priced. The owner is also friendly and kind. A Japanese set breakfast is included! The mini log cabins don’t have curtains and you can hear noise, but if you bring an eye mask, earplugs, or headphones, it’s fine. With air conditioning provided, if you treat it like camping, it’s comfortable.

I planned a trip on short notice and looked for accommodation while keeping costs as low as possible. The only drawback was that the room did not have a private bathroom or toilet, but it was not a major issue. Since the price was low, I did not have high expectations for the meals, but I was pleasantly surprised in a good way. Both breakfast and dinner had plenty of variety and were very delicious, leaving me completely satisfied. It is an accommodation I would love to stay at again when visiting the area.

Every early December, we always stay here for smelt fishing at Lake Yamanaka. The Room has been renovated and is clean, and above all, the dinner is hearty and very delicious. The coffee sticks and tea available on each floor are helpful. We will come back again next year!

The Room was clean and well kept. Above all, dinner was outstanding. Freshly prepared dishes—such as sashimi of Seki horse mackerel and steak—were served at just the right time. The timing was perfect. This time we chose the in-room dining Plan, and thanks to the thoughtful service from the staff, it was a wonderful one-night stay.

We stayed as three families and booked three villas. Each villa had a lovely Room, and we had a very comfortable stay. The complimentary drinks and snacks at the management building were also a nice touch. Since it was still a bit early for ocean activities, we brought our own fishing gear and relaxed. The staff kindly arranged the setup so all three families could dine together, and we had a great time sharing BBQ, bouillabaisse, and sushi. We were worried dinner might not be enough, so we bought extra meat beforehand, but it turned out to be more than enough—everything was delicious. The clam miso soup served with the sushi was especially outstanding. Breakfast was also stylish, with bagels as the main item on the plate, and it tasted great. However, for children who don’t like bagels or for my father who has dental issues, they were too hard to eat—so it would be nice to have a choice of several options such as croissants or French toast. The yogurt was plain with no sweetness, so fruit yogurt or jam served on the side would be appreciated. The Room was comfortable overall, and both the beds and futons felt wonderful. One small inconvenience was that there wasn’t a place to hang bath towels; having one behind the sink would be helpful. There were hangers and a rack, but once we hung jackets and clothes it was full. Since swimwear is required in Rooms with an outdoor bath, I think additional hangers and space to dry wet swimsuits are necessary. I’ve noted some points here, but overall this was an excellent Accommodation and we would love to visit again. All staff members were kind and responded thoughtfully to our requests.
