I stayed for several nights as a base for a long-distance driving trip. In the end, I mostly used it just to sleep, but I slept comfortably and was able to spend my time without building up travel fatigue. The room has all the essentials—minimal, yet clean and easy to use. There’s no bathtub (shower only), and there’s no restaurant in the building; you can buy light meals at the shop or bring your own. The lounge is quiet and spacious. It was equipped with a coffee machine, microwave, toaster, and more. There is also a laundry area next to the elevator. At the roadside station right next door, there’s a large public bath (paid) and restaurants, so I used those for meals and bathing the next day. It seems best to make use of both this property and the nearby facilities together. Next time, I’d love to stay for a longer period.

The meals were generous in portion, delicious, and very satisfying. We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and the open-air bath in the Room was also clean. The amenities were well stocked, and the foreign staff were pleasant; overall, everything was great.

I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay of 2 nights. It wasn’t too far from the station, and overall it was good. However, since I came by car, I would have liked a partnered parking option. That’s all.

We enjoyed plenty of food for both dinner and breakfast. We rented fishing gear and went fishing as a family of three. We caught a lot and were very satisfied. We would love to visit again.

You can tell the building is old. Even so, I think it has been kept clean. What was disappointing is that the plumbing Facility feels dated. There was peeling on the side and bottom of the unit bath. (If this were improved, it would be an amazing value!) The Room door and the unit-bath door were warped, making them hard to open and close. A 10:00 check-out is very helpful, but from around 9:00 you can hear staff talking in the hallway as they clean other rooms, which makes you feel rushed. Breakfast was better than expected for a free offering. There were three kinds of bread, two kinds of salad, two simmered dishes, ham, rice, miso soup, and both raw and boiled eggs. There are convenience stores, a supermarket, and izakaya pubs around the Hotel, which is very convenient.

A quiet countryside Accommodation in the satoyama hills. The owner is a former top-division sumo wrestler, Kenzan, and the property is decorated with many sumo photos and wrestlers’ handprints. In the open-air bath styled like a sumo ring, you can hear birds singing and enjoy a cool breeze through the trees—it’s wonderful.\n\nThe meals also use local ingredients and are very enjoyable. The rates are very reasonable as well. Highly recommended, and the hostess is warm and welcoming.

We used this as a trip gift from the children to celebrate our parents’ 80th and 77th birthdays. In addition to the delicious meals and the private open-air jacuzzi with free-flowing hot spring water, we truly appreciated your thoughtful hospitality, and our parents were absolutely delighted. They said breakfast was such a feast they couldn’t finish it all, making it a wonderful memory. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.

The food was outstanding. For dinner, the splendid alfonsino, abalone, and spiny lobster were all delicious, and the portions were more than we could finish. Breakfast was also excellent—the spiny lobster miso soup was especially tasty. The relaxation room offered free ice cream and coffee, as well as electric massage chairs. While the exterior and some common areas were not very clean, the guest rooms and dining area had been renovated.

It was a wonderful Accommodation. Everything was very clean, and the front desk staff were outstanding. After climbing Mt. Rishiri, I was able to relax in the natural hot spring and soothe my fatigue. I could also watch the sunset from the open-air bath. The only thing I would ask is that, although the indoor bath is in a great location with an ocean view, it was hard to see outside clearly. I understand it must be difficult because sea spray quickly leaves marks, but it would be perfect if you could use something like a high-pressure washer so guests could enjoy the sunset even from inside.

My check-in ended up being at 11:45 PM, but you had the room cooled for me, which was a great help. Thanks to you, I slept very well. The coffee was also excellent. It was more spacious, spotless, and comfortable than my small apartment in Tokyo. I would love to stay again if I have the chance next time. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Every year, we stay for about a week for my wife’s birthday trip. The Room is spacious and the Facility is well equipped, so when we travel to Miyakojima, we can’t imagine staying anywhere other than Hotel California. We didn’t even request it, but there was towel art on the bed, and my wife was absolutely delighted.

I stayed in a smoking room in the annex. The smell of cigarettes was quite strong and even clung to my pajamas, but since I chose a smoking-allowed room, I have no complaints. Although both the room and the building are old, they were well cleaned and felt very clean, and I was also able to use the large public bath on the first floor. Since I could stay at an amazingly low weekday rate, I was satisfied. The distance from the station didn’t bother me, and there’s a convenience store nearby, which was convenient.

Rooms & Facilities: We didn’t use the bathtub, but there were no issues. As noted in advance, there is no elevator, so it’s a long walk to the corner Room on the 4th floor, and the hallway is hot. Service: The male staff member provided accurate information and guidance. Onsen: It’s a bit far, but there were few guests so we could relax at our own pace. Meals: We were able to eat in a quiet, calm setting. Thank you for the complimentary items as well. The additional charges (alcohol) for two people came to 6,100 yen.

Due to Typhoon No. 25, it rained all day and we couldn’t see the stars we were looking forward to. However, everything else was great—the ocean view from the room, the sound of the waves, and how spacious and clean the room was. It would be perfect in good weather, and I’d like to visit again. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The only disappointment was that the in-room scenic bath used heated water, so I didn’t use it. The water in the large public bath and open-air bath was excellent, and since they were close (one floor above our room), there was no need to use the in-room bath. If the weather had been better, I might have enjoyed it while stargazing. For this price, the quality is outstanding.

The Room offered a view of historical buildings.

We stayed as a family of four adults. Since it is new, the Room was clean and well equipped with everything we needed, and we were able to relax comfortably. My hair is frizzy and tends to get dry and tangled, so I usually bring my own shampoo and conditioner, but this time I used the shampoo and conditioner in the large public bath. They were so good that I wanted to buy them. Breakfast was also delicious. The Hotel staff were kind, and when I contacted them about something I had left behind, they responded immediately, which was very helpful. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

This Hotel offers great value for money. It is close to the station, and there is also a convenience store nearby, so the location is excellent. The lack of a large public bath is a slight drawback, but overall I am satisfied.

Our family of three stayed in connecting Rooms with two Rooms linked by a door. With plenty of space and two toilets, we were able to relax comfortably. The ski resort is nearby, and you can walk to the restaurant area at Roadside Station Arai. The only downside is that there is only one large Onsen bath, with alternating hours for men and women, so you can’t use it at your preferred time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This Hotel offers great value for money and comes highly recommended.

This was our fourth stay, for two nights. We finally got to stay in the long-awaited Flipper Room (Japanese-Western style). The dolphin-themed decorations and toys made our grandchildren absolutely delighted. Unfortunately, due to the typhoon, the weather was disappointing and we couldn’t go out on the second day, but at the adjacent Genki Village we were able to see dolphins, make crafts, and play in the pool, so we had a full day of fun without getting bored. Thank you to all the staff for joining in with our grandchildren’s rock-paper-scissors challenge. We will definitely stay again. The pool Facility seems old; it was disappointing that the adults’ jacuzzi area and showers were not in better condition.

I stayed here during a 3-night, 4-day Tohoku touring trip. The property is a bit old, but it was clean and the Room was spacious. The laundry was free, and only the detergent was paid, which was very helpful. Since there are places I couldn’t visit due to the rain, I’d like to stop by again.
