Although the building is over 100 years old, the interior and Facility are modern, making it very comfortable to stay in. The lighting, including well-placed indirect lighting, is used effectively to enhance the atmosphere. The hot spring water is free-flowing from the source at around 42°C, which was excellent.

Stayed during the May holiday period. The Accommodation is in a remote area, and I felt quite uneasy on the way there, but when I arrived it turned out to be a very large Ryokan. The Room was a spacious Japanese-style room where I could relax, and although some Reviews mentioned the Onsen being a bit cool, it was just the right temperature for me—comfortable enough to soak for a long time. The friendly proprietress was warm and welcoming as well, which made for a calm, unhurried stay. Soft-shell crab tempura was served at dinner and it was delicious, but that was the only crab dish, so it felt slightly underwhelming given how much I had been looking forward to crab. (The other dishes were also excellent, and overall I was satisfied with the meal.) If you’re visiting specifically for crab cuisine, I recommend checking the details in advance.

It was our first Onsen Accommodation as a couple in a while. The bath was excellent, and the hot water was wonderful. Dinner was served in our Room, and breakfast was a buffet; the portions were just right and everything was great. Next time, we’ll stay with our family.

I had plans to go to Fujinomiya in the morning, so I stayed the night before. The parking lot next to the Hotel fills up quickly, so I used the second parking lot, but it’s also close and not a hassle. After check-in, there are individual shoe lockers by the entrance for each Room, and you move around inside in slippers. The Room is reasonably spacious. Since the outlet by the bedside is a bit far, I recommend bringing a long charging cable. The bathroom and toilet are completely separate, and the bathtub and washing area are also separated, so if you fill the tub first you can wash up and get into the bath right away, which is great. There are plenty of convenience stores, supermarkets, and chain restaurants nearby, so finding food shouldn’t be a problem. The free breakfast doesn’t have a huge variety, but everything was tasty. Overall, it was a great value Hotel.

It felt like an older Hotel, but the Room was kept very clean, and the bed mattress was comfortable, so I had a pleasant stay. The amenities next to the front desk were great: there was a variety of shampoos, plus snacks, various drinks, and even instant miso soup, which I really appreciated. The front desk staff were kind and helpful despite being busy, and the Hotel had a wonderful atmosphere. I would definitely like to stay here again.

This was my first stay. The front desk staff were very courteous. There were complimentary drinks on the first floor, and the ice-cold draft beer was excellent. The Room was spacious and had a massage chair, so I could relax, but I couldn’t adjust the air conditioning—when I tried to operate it, it turned off. I filled the in-room Onsen right away and enjoyed a very pleasant bath, but my parent, who has difficulty walking, said the step was high and felt scary. Since everything is flat around it, I thought a handrail would make it safer. I understand this may be difficult as it is not barrier-free. I was looking forward to dinner. Everything was delicious, including salt-grilled ayu and chicken hot pot, and even the white rice was excellent. The children’s lunch plate was also generous in portion size, and my child happily bit into a big fried shrimp. However, there was one thing that concerned me. My child’s dessert (a mousse-like item topped with fruit) that came with the lunch plate was taken away partway through for some reason. Since I happened to be on the phone at that moment, I wondered why. After that, as if nothing had happened, the removed dessert was served to an adult instead, and jelly was placed for my child. I assumed it had been a mistake, but I believe an explanation should have been given. Taking something once served to one person and then serving it to someone else seems inappropriate etiquette-wise. At the very least, some explanation when bringing out the jelly for my child would have been appreciated. Overall it is a wonderful Accommodation; only the dinner service response bothered me. Thank you very much.

The Onsen is simply fantastic. The indoor bath is spacious enough, and the water is pleasantly lukewarm, so you can soak slowly and relax—perfect. Its nickname, “the beauty bath,” is no exaggeration: the water feels silky-smooth and leaves your skin noticeably softer right away. I ended up bathing five times in total, using both the indoor bath and the large public bath, and was very satisfied. The meals were also excellent—homemade dishes made with local ingredients. It seems to be family-run, and I appreciated that they didn’t get involved more than necessary.

You can rent a futon set for 1,000 yen. With a double bed, sofa bed, and futon, it was perfect for a family of four to stay together—truly excellent service! The Room was spacious enough and very comfortable. The soft-serve ice cream on the first floor was also delicious... Thank you!

Based on the Reviews, I didn’t have a very good impression at first, but the location seemed ideal so I made a Reservation. As soon as I arrived at the Accommodation, I was pleasantly surprised—the Room was spotless, and the bath was a comfortable Onsen with nothing to complain about. Given the location, I assumed dining at the Accommodation would be my only option, and the meal I reserved was also very delicious. Please let me stay again!

I was very satisfied because I prefer free-flowing Onsen straight from the source (I don’t like recirculated baths). For those who like natural hot spring water, the open-air bath seems especially highly rated. It’s also great that families can bathe together. All of the meals were delicious—nothing felt like an afterthought. I love places with a Showa-era atmosphere, so I’d like to visit again someday.

Used for the first time for an overnight stay before visiting Fuji Speedway. The Facility seems fairly new, and it was very clean and comfortable. The female staff at the counter during check-in/out were all very kind and helpful. The Room had two windows that could be opened about 5 cm, so it was easy to ventilate well and made the stay pleasant. The air conditioning worked great. There doesn’t seem to be a convenience store within walking distance, so please keep that in mind.

I stayed at APA again after a long time, and felt it was a higher level than other business hotels. The amenities are not offered buffet-style, and the linens and toothbrush were high quality, which I appreciated. The Room was clean—including the bathroom area and air conditioning—and I had a comfortable stay. The only disappointment was that breakfast is served at the ramen shop on the first floor. I expected it to be arranged more like a breakfast menu, but in a plain interior they served a regular hearty ramen set, which was quite heavy for the morning. I think offering breakfast at nearby chain set-meal restaurants would lead to higher satisfaction.

I was able to make a Reservation the night before. In Uwajima, during the festival when it was difficult to find any available Reservations, I was lucky to secure one. Additionally, I was guided to a covered parking space, which I greatly appreciated. The receptionist's polite and kind service made me very happy. Thank you so much. The breakfast was also delicious. If I have another chance, I would love to stay again. It was excellent and highly recommended!

I wasn’t originally planning to visit Kurokawa Onsen, but a friend recommended it, so I looked for an Accommodation available on my dates and decided to stay. I’m sorry for being rude, but I didn’t have very high expectations. When I entered the Room, it had underfloor heating—even in the washroom. The in-room bath was spacious, and the water quality was excellent; it was such a pleasant Onsen that I wanted to soak again and again. I stayed for two nights. The meals felt carefully prepared with great attention to detail. With course-style feasts you can sometimes start to feel overwhelmed, but that never happened here—strangely enough. I don’t know if it was the chef’s sense and skill, the seasoning, or the choice of ingredients and menu, but everything was truly delicious. I was completely satisfied and felt genuinely happy. After dinner we returned to our Room, and they had warmed our sandals—thank you for such thoughtful care. Thank you as well to all the lovely staff. I hope to visit again. Thank you very much for taking care of us.

It was an interesting Accommodation made from shipping containers. I was a bit confused at check-in, but the staff provided a clear and courteous explanation. The price was affordable, and I was fully satisfied.

Other than the slightly inconvenient distance from Nagano Station, this is a convenient and good Hotel.

I made a Reservation without realizing it was in an entertainment district. I wondered if it would be noisy, but it wasn’t a problem at all. However, to use the large public bath, you have to walk through the entertainment district to another building, so some people may not like that. Maybe because it’s a busy area, I almost couldn’t find coin parking at 9:00 PM. By chance there was one spot available, and I could park for the low price of 600 yen for 24 hours, but it was about a 5–6 minute walk from the Hotel. It was a No Meals Included Reservation, but there is a free light snack service: you can get two small rolls per person in a bag at the front desk. Hot coffee was also available. It seems to vary by day. The Room looked like it had just been renovated—it was very clean. Separate bath and toilet, electric kettle, microwave, and a large-screen TV. The mini fridge needs to be switched on before use. It seems like the Room is meant for up to four people, but since the beds are semi-double size, I wished they allowed up to six guests as well.

The location and the property had a calm, relaxing atmosphere, which was great. Everything we needed was provided, and although the building is older, it was very clean and comfortable! We’d definitely like to stay again.

We stayed from 7/18 to 7/21 as a family of four: a couple and two children (6th and 3rd grade). We’ve stayed at several whole-house Accommodations before, but this one is by far the best!! This time we stayed in the Plumeria Room with a private pool, and the kids were thrilled! Whenever they had free time during our stay, they were in the pool. The kitchen was fully equipped with cooking utensils and tableware, so we cooked dinner twice during our stay (one was a BBQ) and made breakfast every day without any inconvenience. Basic seasonings such as oil, soy sauce, and salt were also provided. The large refrigerator had complimentary water and canned tea that we could drink freely, which was incredibly helpful. The Room was very spacious and stylish. The bathrooms were kept very clean, which made our stay comfortable. There were two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two toilets, which was very convenient when we came back from the beach and everyone wanted to shower. We requested BBQ equipment rental on the morning of the day, and when we returned from going out it had been set up on the terrace. The kids loved their routine of eating meat until they got hot—and then jumping in for a swim. During our stay we even found stag beetles by the poolside about twice—our son was beyond excited! Stag beetles, shiny jewel bugs, geckos; tons of crabs and hermit crabs on the beach; plus unlimited swimming in the pool—this place is paradise for kids. If we can come back again, we definitely will!! It became an unforgettable summer memory.
