This was a wonderful Accommodation, and the warm hospitality of the owner couple was truly unforgettable. The room was very spacious and spotless, and I really appreciated having a refrigerator in the room. The bath amenities were from a brand I’d been wanting to try, which made me very happy. Every meal was high quality—especially the dinner main course and the breakfast bread, both of which were absolutely delicious. Including the Shuttle Service from the station, they kindly listened to our requests and responded flexibly to our transportation needs throughout our stay, for which we are truly grateful. This is a fantastic pension where you can feel the owners’ warmth and genuine hospitality in every detail. I would definitely love to stay again!

The meals were excellent. The sea bream sashimi, carpaccio, simmered dishes, tempura, and sea bream rice were all incredibly delicious. I never knew sea bream could taste this good. It was also delightful to be served piping hot dishes. Highly recommended!

Although my plan was No Meals Included, the front desk staff were very helpful, and I was able to use the private bath free of charge. The large public bath was also very clean. It was a little small, so I’m giving it 4 stars. Still, the hot spring water quality felt wonderful. This is a Hotel I would like to stay at again.

In early summer, Furano and Biei are breathtaking, with vast flower fields starting with lavender—more beautiful than I expected. And a trip really depends on the Accommodation; choosing this one was absolutely the right decision. The view from the dining area was soothing, every dish made with plenty of local ingredients was delicious, and there was a great selection of drinks. The lavender milk ice cream for dessert was especially wonderful! The seasonal Furano melon was also incredibly sweet—an unforgettable taste. To my surprise, the owner and I share exactly the same date of birth, which left me both amazed and feeling an instant connection. It became a lovely travel memory. I would love to visit again someday. Thank you very much.

Staying in this renovated historic building was a truly unique experience that we don’t usually get to have. The thoughtful touches were wonderful, and the staff spoke to us kindly and warmly. Breakfast was also very delicious.

Stayed at the end of October with my wife. It was indeed a charming pension inspired by the Green Gable House with its gable roof and fireplace. The interior was polished and exuded cleanliness. The elderly owner was very friendly, kind, and accommodating. The family bath was spacious and spotless. While there were mentions in reviews about the aging facility, it was meticulously cleaned, so I didn’t find it bothersome at all. The family bath was also exceptionally clean. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh vegetables that my wife thoroughly enjoyed as well. Although it is set to close by the end of next year, I am determined to visit again before then. This is a pension where families can stay comfortably without worry!

Everything was kept very clean, and it was truly comfortable. The milky white sulfur hot spring bath was also outstanding. Above all, the landlady’s cooking deserves special mention for how delicious it is. Even now that I’m back home, I can’t get the clear highland air, the breathtaking views of Mt. Norikura, and the star-filled sky that felt within reach from the open-air bath out of my mind. Thank you very much. I will definitely come again.

The bath area had a sauna and was very comfortable. The Room was a good size and still felt spacious even with the futons laid out. The front desk staff member was friendly and very attentive.

I was satisfied with both the meals and the Onsen. I visited by motorcycle, and being able to park in the garage made me feel very secure. I would like to stay again.

After my wife was discharged from the hospital, she successfully passed two follow-up checkups, and we finally planned our first trip in a year. While searching for an exceptional stay as a surprise gift, we found this Accommodation. In a completely private setting, we were able to enjoy a blissful escape from everyday life. The Room filled with bright light through floor-to-ceiling glass windows, the vast grassland stretching out before us, the free-flowing Onsen and pool fed directly from the source, and the soothing sounds of nature—just what we could see and hear was enough to heal us. And yet, the chef’s warm personality reflected in every dish, along with stories full of love for Hokkaido, made it truly unforgettable. Using local ingredients along with freshly picked herbs and vegetables harvested right on the property, the unpretentious course allowed us to fully savor Hokkaido. From appetizers created right in front of us to a beautifully cooked main grilled over firewood rather than charcoal, every once-in-a-lifetime dish for that day alone moved us again and again—right through dessert. The wines thoughtfully recommended at just the right moments were also excellent. Small gestures—like turning our leftover corn rice into onigiri for a late-night snack—were deeply touching. The smooth, slightly thick Moor Onsen water left our skin silky soft, and I found myself soaking again and again after dinner, in the middle of the night, and at dawn (laughs). The steam rising into the night air under a sky full of stars was so calming I wished time would stop. Breakfast in the crisp morning air was also an array of homemade delights—we enjoyed every last bit of what this Accommodation has to offer. Spending time in an entirely private space where you can have endless views and the chef’s cuisine all to yourself—without anyone disturbing you—is truly one of a kind. Thanks to you all, it became the best possible surprise trip to celebrate my wife’s discharge. To the chef, manager/director (shihainin), and everyone on staff who helped make our stay so special—thank you very much.

I’d been looking forward to the opening of La Vista Minami Aso and stayed during the pre-opening period. The previous Hotel also offered a magnificent, expansive view of Mt. Aso, and while that scenery remains unchanged, the interiors and Facility have been completely renewed. I was able to fully enjoy Aso in comfort—from the spacious lobby and Room to the baths. A few small notes: For the welcome drink in the lobby after check-in, I had coffee, but it would be even better if beer were available earlier (not only from 6:00 p.m.) and if decaf coffee were offered. As for dining, dinner was a La Vista–style course meal and breakfast was a buffet. Both featured many ingredients from Kumamoto Prefecture, and everything was delicious. I’d be happy if the breakfast buffet had a slightly wider dessert selection. The baths were wonderful as well—great views of Aso from the large public bath, plus private baths and a sauna. The post-bath ice cream and massage chairs were also a nice touch. It was disappointing that the probiotic milk drinks (Yakult) ran out quickly during my morning bath. The late-night ramen service common to Kyoritsu Resort was delicious (if I may be indulgent, I’d love it if there were two varieties like in Kirishima). Since it was during the pre-opening period, there may have been some areas where staff were still getting used to things; however, their sincere effort really came through. Wishing you all the best toward the grand opening. I’d love to stay again.

I have stayed at Onsen accommodations before, but this time we decided to visit Oushuku Onsen and chose Kawanaga. The hospitality was wonderful, perfectly matching the quality one expects from a Ryokan. The signboard with "Welcome [Your Name] Party" had a nostalgic Showa-era charm that made me happy. The floors were polished beautifully, and the futons in the room were fluffy and comfortable. Although the faucet in the indoor bath showed some age, it was well-maintained and clean. The outdoor Onsen is 100% natural spring water, so it was slightly lukewarm; however, this allowed for longer soaks without feeling fatigued—a great feature! The road leading to this Ryokan during autumn is lined with golden rice fields. The Akita Komachi rice served here was incredibly delicious—perhaps even more so because I had just admired those golden fields beforehand! The Hittsumi soup was also delightful. This is a quiet accommodation where you can truly relax—I highly recommend it!

I stayed to support the Hakone Ekiden. The runners pass right in front of the Property. The building is old, but it has been modernly renovated and is very clean. The Room has a cozy feel and is relaxing, and above all, the breakfast was wonderful. Since it was New Year's, there was ozoni and osechi cuisine. It was beautifully presented and delicious, as if dining at a first-class restaurant. I deducted points because the TV couldn't receive BS broadcasts, but the service from the Stays staff was courteous, making it one of the few places I, a travel enthusiast, would want to visit again.

This was my second stay. I stayed in a different Room than last time, and the selection of books was different too, which I really enjoyed. The food was delicious, and the bookstore at night was just as fun as before! The only disappointment was that I could clearly hear other Rooms’ doors opening and closing, which woke me up at night. I’d love to stay again sometime!

Although it is an old accommodation, it was clean and comfortable to stay in. The room does not have a toilet or refrigerator, but they are conveniently located nearby outside the room. From the window of the room, there is a balcony-like area where you can enjoy views of trees, the murmuring river, and a glimpse of Oushuku town's scenery, which was very soothing. I would love to visit again in autumn.

I visited in search of an Onsen that is not chlorinated and does not use circulation. As expected, there was no chlorine smell, and the water was gentle and very satisfying. The meals were carefully prepared and truly delicious—I left completely full. The building is old, which can’t be helped, but the excellent hot spring water and food more than made up for it, so overall I was very satisfied. One episode that left a strong impression: After checkout, the attendant came to see us off at the entrance. After saying goodbye, we headed to the parking lot a short distance away (it took us some time to finish packing). When we later drove past the entrance, we realized she had been waiting in the heat just to see us off! She kindly stayed until the very end, and I was deeply touched by her warm hospitality. Thank you for taking such good care of us. We truly appreciate it. I would love to visit again.

This was my second stay. Located north of Kakegawa, it’s a very quiet Accommodation where you can truly relax. The baths and meals are excellent. The guest Rooms vary depending on which Room you choose. It’s a small Accommodation with few guests, so you can take it easy. The proprietress and everyone else are very kind, and you can feel at home without any hesitation. It’s a Ryokan that makes you want to come back again.

I made a direct Reservation and had a very pleasant stay with kind, attentive service. I was surprised by how steep the hill is, but the Onsen is free-flowing from the source and left my skin feeling silky smooth, and the meals were carefully prepared, lightly seasoned, and delicious. I’d love to come again.

This trip was partly to revisit Toyama, where I lived for about six months during my first year as a new employee some 30 years ago, and I was truly comforted by this Ryokan’s subtle yet warm hospitality. *My single-person dorm was in Toyama City, and I remember going to Aeon in Takaoka (was it Warner Mycal back then?) to watch a movie. The meals were delicious—I finished the entire rice tub (enough for about 2–3 bowls) and ended up drinking two bottles of beer as well. I was initially concerned about the shared refrigerator and planned not to use it when I made the Reservation, but since the system lets you write your Room number on a sticky note, I felt comfortable using it. To give an honest Review: I did wish the bath were a bit larger, but it was very clean and relaxing. It rained the next morning, but the location is excellent—you can stop by Kawanoeki Shinminato, Kaiwomaru Park, and the famous roadside station Amaharashi Coast (Michi-no-Eki), and still easily drop in at Himi Fish Market Cafeteria. To be frank, I expected to stay here simply because it was inexpensive; however, compared with an Accommodation in Fukui where things only looked good on the surface without matching reality (where I stayed the next day), this Ryokan’s strengths stood out even more. In any case, highly recommended.
