I contacted the property to say that I had missed the last bus from Hana-no-Miyako Park and would not make it in time for check-in. They kindly explained a walking route and told me that if I didn’t need dinner, I could take my time and come carefully. Taking them up on that, I had dinner on the way and checked in, where I was greeted warmly. They also helped me arrange breakfast. The Onsen was spacious, and especially the open-air bath—there were no other guests (maybe I went at a good time?)—so I could truly relax and recover from 14,000 steps of walking. In the morning, when I woke up at 4:30, Mt. Fuji was right in front of me—so close it filled my view. With subtle hues, it was breathtakingly beautiful. The morning bath and then breakfast—everything helped me forget everyday life, thanks to all the staff. Thank you very much.

I stayed here for two days for work around Wakayama City. I had visited Wakayama on day trips before, but this was my first overnight stay. With little local knowledge to compare, I chose this Hotel because the price was reasonable and it looked good in the photos. (Location) It seems to be about a 5-minute walk from Nankai Electric Railway’s Wakayamashi Station, so it should be fine even if you’re traveling by train. However, the area is mostly residential with some factories nearby, so there aren’t many restaurants right next door. I recommend planning to eat around the station area. The nearest convenience store is also a bit of a walk, so it’s better to shop beforehand. We came by car with help from someone at our workplace, but perhaps because it was nearly fully booked that day, the adjacent public parking lot was full as well. If you definitely need parking by car, I recommend reserving the Hotel parking in advance. (Room) The Room felt spacious and clean. Even with a suitcase opened on a stand, there was still plenty of space left without getting in the way. The bathroom/toilet seemed relatively new; the bathtub was larger than expected and very comfortable. There was no step up into the bathroom (perhaps because the floor is raised due to stairs near the elevator hall), which made it easy to use. The ceiling didn’t feel low either. A few things about the Room stood out: - The light switches were spread out and hard to understand; labels would be helpful - The air conditioner blew directly onto me—cooling worked well but I worried about comfort/health (may depend on the Room) - It was hard to figure out how to adjust the bath water temperature; it was set all the way toward cold water at first, so hot water took a while and I panicked a bit - The sheets felt slightly damp Overall though, I think it’s a good place. (Service) - Not like big-city hotel staff, but everyone was warm, polite, and pleasant - Around 6:00 a.m., I went downstairs for a drink and staff were at reception; even if there’s an intercom when no one is present, having someone there is reassuring in case of emergencies - When we asked what to do since parking was full, they suggested possible options nearby and that really helped I don’t often stay overnight in Wakayama so I’m not sure if I’ll return myself, but someone who traveled with me comes into Wakayama Prefecture frequently for work—so in that case this could definitely be an option. Close to Shinsaibashi Station, with a convenience store right next door and a shopping street nearby, making it very convenient. Amenities and coffee were well-stocked next to the front desk. The Room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. I would love to stay here again.

This Hotel offers the highest quality in every aspect, including Room size, cleanliness (including amenities), and staff service and hospitality.

Stayed for 3 nights during the autumn foliage season. It is not large, but a very beautiful hotel. There is also a rooftop terrace with a view of the pagoda at Kiyomizu Temple. It was a hotel that made me want to stay again if I have the chance.

Although it was the peak of summer and very hot, it was wonderfully cool here—perfect for a summer getaway. Above all, the food was absolutely delicious. The local dishes and beer were fantastic!

I stayed in Room 401. From the window, you can clearly see Shinkansen trains entering and exiting the tunnel. If you’re a railway fan, this Room is highly recommended. You can hear the running sound only faintly, so it’s not bothersome. Perhaps because the Hotel has recently changed its name and it hasn’t fully caught on yet, there were fewer guests. I was able to enjoy the men’s bath on the top floor almost like a private reservation. Staying at one of the well-known Echigo-Yuzawa Onsen Hotels is certainly an option, but I think spending a relaxing time at this Hotel is also a great choice.

This capsule Hotel offers outstanding value for money. The bath area is small, but the Facility is sufficient for bathing. It also comes with a sauna, which is a great bonus at this price.

As the facility includes an Onsen, I was able to spend a very enjoyable and comfortable time. I heard the tuna is delicious, so next time I would like to take my time and enjoy the meals as well.

We stayed here with my daughter’s family. The Onsen, the meals, and the service were all excellent. In particular, the staff’s kindness made us feel very at ease. The food was delicious and very generous in portion size—I ended up eating too much. It made for a wonderful Golden Week holiday. Thank you very much. Yubara Onsen is the best.

During the summer holidays, we didn’t have plans to travel far, so we wanted to enjoy a vacation feel nearby and stayed here for the first time. With a location overlooking the airport, a comfortable Room, and a delicious breakfast with a wide variety of options, it was a wonderful stay. Given the location, there were many international guests and airline crew members, which made it feel like a little trip abroad. Thank you very much.

The location is excellent. The Onsen exceeded expectations and could be featured more prominently. The staff’s kimono dressing is flawless. As expected of a long-established Ryokan, the proprietress’s training and guidance are clearly reflected throughout.

Stayed during a cold wave. With snow falling outside, we enjoyed a relaxing staycation in the lounge. Right after check-in, we headed to the lounge and spent time chatting over coffee and cookies. During cocktail time from 5 PM, we enjoyed various drinks and were very satisfied. The snacks were substantial enough that many might find them sufficient as dinner. In the morning, we used the breakfast buffet on the first floor as part of our breakfast-included plan. The selection of Japanese dishes was excellent, including freshly made omelets prepared right in front of us—very filling! Afterward, we visited the lounge again to find another breakfast buffet there! Despite being full, we couldn’t resist trying some unique menu items exclusive to this area. We fully utilized our time at the Hotel and had an incredibly satisfying staycation experience. If there’s one thing I’d suggest for improvement, it would be adding cakes or similar treats during tea time—it would make things perfect! Even now though, it’s already a great place to relax. The Room was comfortable as well; I’d love to stay here again!

The property was clean, and the service was excellent. The bath on the top floor had no roof, so it was cold even in Okinawa. The complimentary meal was fairly standard but tasty. Everything except the bath was wonderful.

With many restaurants within walking distance, you won’t have trouble finding dinner after check-in. The large public bath also includes an outdoor tub shaped like a pot. Perhaps because Tanabata was approaching, tanzaku wish strips were on display, giving the entrance a seasonal feel. I felt comfortable staying here.

Thank you for your kind hospitality, which made our trip truly enjoyable. From the Reservation stage, you kept in touch by email, and from the moment we arrived you took great care of us—guiding us to the parking area and providing a space to park our motorcycles. The hot water was excellent, and my skin felt surprisingly smooth afterward. This is an Accommodation I would love to stay at again. Next time, I plan to come with my touring friends as a group. I stayed here last July and returned again this year—thank you for taking care of me. The women’s bath is compact with only three washing stations, but it has been nicely renovated and kept very clean. In front of the front desk, there were also amenities such as lotion and cleansing products. My Room had a spacious, barrier-free style bathroom, but the air conditioning wasn’t very effective. I choose an Accommodation based on the large public bath, location, and washing machines, and within walking distance of Sasebo Station, this is the only place that meets those conditions. I’ll be back again—thank you in advance!

This was my second stay. The waters of Sakakibara Onsen are truly exceptional—I've visited many Onsens, but this is the best for me. Including day trips, I come about once every two months. Sei Shonagon is a calm and charming Accommodation that retro Showa-era lovers will adore. The Facility is spotless, with thorough cleaning down to every detail. The meals are generous in portion, delicious, and carefully prepared—I really enjoy them. They also offer a great selection of Mie sake, and the tasting set is a great value and highly recommended: you can choose 3 or 5 types from around 10 options. Above all, the baths are outstanding, with a wonderful atmosphere. The staff are kind and always smiling. I’ve heard Sakakibara Onsen has become quieter than it used to be, but this is an Accommodation I never want to see disappear. I’d love to visit again during summer vacation—I’m already looking forward to it. If I may make a few requests: where possible, I would love for the women’s and men’s baths to be swapped monthly (even just once in a while), as the men’s bath looks lovely in photos and I’d really like to try it too. Also, I would appreciate having an electrical outlet in the Room for charging devices. And although it may be difficult to change, the stairs down to the bath area are steep and might be challenging for older guests—any measures you could take would be appreciated. Other than that, I was truly satisfied with everything. Thank you very much for such a wonderful stay.

A girls’ trip—we stayed as a group of four. This Hotel is right in front of the Southern Gate Bridge and close to the bus terminal and ferry terminal for the outer islands. The Room was spacious with wooden flooring and a generously sized bath, and it was a great-value Hotel with breakfast included—we really loved it. The staff were friendly, and we had a comfortable stay. The breakfast bread was delicious too. Minami-Nuhama Beach is also nearby, and taking an early-morning walk across the Southern Gate Bridge felt wonderful. When we visit Ishigaki Island again, we’d love to stay here again. Both dinner and breakfast are delicious. There is a wide variety of dishes, and the dessert selection is excellent. You can wrap your own crepes, and the shaved ice is light and fluffy—kids were very happy. Free beer and plum wine also kept adults satisfied. The Onsen is a bit small, but there is an open-air bath as well. I was concerned about the green-colored areas on the floor. Dust was noticeable on the tray where the glasses were placed in the Room. There is also a pool next door. You can enjoy both it and swimming in the sea.
