Check-in is until 10:00 PM, but it was reassuring to know it would still be okay even if I arrived late. I struggled because I couldn’t figure out how to enter the passcode at the door. Since there is no front desk, there was no one to ask… The shower room door wouldn’t open, and when I contacted support via the tablet, the staff member was a foreigner and we couldn’t communicate well… (They were doing their best, so it didn’t leave a bad impression.) I also had trouble because there was no hot water for the bath, but it turned out the water heater switch wasn’t on… (If guests are going to use hot water anyway, I wish it had been turned on.) The tablet stand was broken, and when I touched it I found signs of a previous repair with duct tape on the back. (Just to be clear—I didn’t break it.) The Room felt clean, and the cooking utensils were more than adequate. (If coffee is provided, I’d also like milk and sugar!) There was also a washing machine and a drying rack, which impressed me. I’d like to stay at another Accommodation in this group when traveling elsewhere.

I stayed for two nights on business. There’s a 7-Eleven on the property, which was super convenient. The building and Rooms have been renovated and were very clean. There’s a coffee machine in the lobby (bean-to-cup), and you can take it back to your Room—it was delicious. Breakfast was included; I wasn’t expecting much, but it was generous and felt like a great value. I didn’t have time to use the Onsen, but I’d like to next time. On the second night, I chose eco cleaning and received two complimentary drinks. Since eco cleaning is fine with me anyway, I really appreciated the thoughtful gesture.

The food was excellent. We were very satisfied and were able to relax at a leisurely pace. We would like to visit again.

This was my second stay. It’s a quiet Hotel, and I had a comfortable stay. Coffee was available as a welcome drink, and they also provided ice for iced coffee. Since I stayed during an extremely hot day, I really appreciated it. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and everything was delicious. The chirashi sushi in particular was excellent. The menu featuring local ingredients was outstanding. The lobby is spacious, and having a designated smoking area inside the building was very welcome for smokers. It was a thoroughly satisfying stay.

It was my first time staying here. The Accommodation was clean, and the staff were very helpful!

This time, I stayed two nights on the Mojiko side, then took the ferry across to the Shimonoseki side for one night. It was a very sunny and hot day, but Karato Market, the Karato Ferry Terminal, Kaikyokan (Shimonoseki Aquarium), Hai! Karatto Yokocho (a small amusement park), and RISONARE are all lined up in the same area, so it’s great that you can enjoy everything within walking distance. On top of that, the Hotel offers plenty of kid-friendly activities such as the pufferfish pool and pufferfish beach, and the little ones looked like they were having a wonderful time. I also saw families staying with three generations together—this seems like an excellent choice for family trips. As for me, it was a solo trip for one night, so I treated myself to a full pufferfish Italian course at Otto Sette in the dining room (the aperitif was served on the terrace at sunset before moving into the dining room!). I also enjoyed a relaxing resort stay in a new and comfortable Room while taking in views of the Kanmon Straits. In the morning, I started my walk before dawn along Arukaport Promenade by the sea in front of the Hotel. With cool sea breezes and gradually brightening skies over the Kanmon Straits, I walked past Karato Market to Sister City Plaza at the end of the promenade to watch sunrise. Then I returned along the same path back to the Hotel and joined “Sea Breeze Stretch” on Namunami Terrace with its beautifully kept lawn. After that came an incredible breakfast buffet with so many options it was hard to choose—I enjoyed it right up to my limit. At PUKU PUKU’s breakfast buffet, kawara soba, seafood marinated rice bowls, and French toast are must-haves—go hungry. Even though it was only one night, it felt incredibly fulfilling. I’d love to come back—and now I want to visit other RISONARE properties too. Also, even if you make a Reservation here, it’s convenient that you can log in on their official website using your Reservation Number and arrange meals and activities online in advance.

Thanks to the courteous service and the staff’s warm hospitality and flexible support, we had a memorable stay. The Onsen was also wonderful, and the atmospheric open-air bath was especially relaxing. If we have a chance to visit the area again, we would love to stay here again.

I stayed with my beloved dog. The Room was clean and odor-free, and I appreciated that the trash bin was placed out of reach for my dog. There was also information about nearby pet-friendly shops. We were not disturbed by the sounds of dogs from other Rooms, allowing my dog to relax comfortably. The staff, from various countries, interacted with warm smiles without being overly formal, which left a very positive impression. I would love to stay again if given the opportunity.

This was my second stay when attending a performance at Minamiza. The location is excellent, and it was also convenient for visiting Uzumasa Koryu-ji Temple. As with my previous stay, the attentive service was much appreciated. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, with a different menu each day.

The 24-hour drink bar was available, and we could use it even before check-in and after check-out. I usually bring coffee with me, but it was great not having to make it myself. The morning pancakes came with unlimited syrup, and there was whipped cream too—I ended up eating four. The location was also convenient; we visited Dotonbori, Tsutenkaku, and Tsuruhashi.

It was cool, and there were both a lukewarm free-flowing Onsen (the source is around 38°C) and a slightly heated bath, which made it perfect for a summer getaway. The meals were also delicious, with just the right portions. In particular, the tea and the aroma of freshly grated wasabi were wonderful—honestly, just rice with wasabi and ochazuke might be the best. It felt like a real treat. Maybe everything tastes better because the water is so pure. Since I went into the Onsen several times, I wished there were extra towels available, and I personally noticed a slight odor on the pillow, so I’m deducting one star—but my companion didn’t mind at all and was very satisfied with the spacious Room. Personally, I think a slightly smaller Room here would have been fine too, even with meals in a shared dining hall (it’s easier on the budget, and somehow that feels more in keeping with this Accommodation’s atmosphere). The view is beautiful, and it seems like you could enjoy the scenery right in front of you in any season.

I have used this Hotel several times on days with affordable rates. The Room types vary, sometimes luxurious and other times more compact, but I have always been able to relax without any issues and am very satisfied. The check-in process is face-to-face, and everyone is kind, making me want to use this Hotel again.

We stayed here for his birthday. We made a Reservation because we could enjoy the sauna, Onsen, and BBQ. This time, we only had breakfast, and brought our own ingredients for dinner. To put it mildly, this Accommodation was amazing. It was a little disappointing that there was no microwave, but everything else was perfect! We will definitely come again!

With its high ceilings, the space felt open and truly luxurious. Both the bath and sauna were spacious, allowing you to relax at your own pace. The sauna also offers self-service löyly, so it heats up properly—an authentic setup that even sauna enthusiasts will be satisfied with. It was also impressive how the concept was consistently carried through to the smallest details, from pajamas and cooking utensils to lighting, reflecting the owner’s careful attention. From the large windows, we enjoyed panoramic views of lush greenery and Mt. Omuro, which were soothing both in the morning and at sunset. For breakfast, we grilled dried fish ourselves; it felt special in a way that’s different from a Ryokan experience, and it was delicious. The space, Facility offerings, and views were all outstanding—an Accommodation we’d love to visit again in a different season.

I stayed here again for the first time in a year with my sister and my 95-year-old mother. We requested the same top-floor Room as last year, with a private bath. The bath is filled with Onsen water, and since my mother’s legs have weakened and she can’t go to the large public bath, our main purpose was to let her soak in the Onsen. Another highlight is the wonderful service from the female staff at the dining venue—warm, pleasant, and truly excellent. The meals are of course delicious too (haha)! The only drawback is that the lounge in the first-floor lobby is not barrier-free. It would be perfect if there were a ramp.

I love traveling and stay at various Hotels across different prefectures, and this was the best Hotel I’ve ever stayed at!! After check-in, snacks and drinks were all-you-can-eat and drink, manga was unlimited, and although I didn’t use it myself, there were plenty of spaces for kids to play—so you never get bored during your stay! The breakfast buffet had everything from Nagano specialties to Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes—there wasn’t enough time or stomach space to try it all (lol). From check-in to check-out, it was truly an amazing experience!! When I visit Nagano again, I will definitely make another Reservation!!!

My spouse and I stayed for two nights with our dog. Breakfast and dinner were buffet-style, and the selection was plentiful—everything was delicious. Because dining times are set at check-in, we didn’t have to deal with crowds or difficulty getting food. Dishes were replenished frequently, so we were very satisfied with the meals. The large public bath was also great. While the Facilities overall feel a bit dated, there are updated areas such as a sauna and a round single-person bath. Everything was very clean, making it a pleasure to use. Since it was summer, the pool in the garden was open. Families with children were using it; it’s quite large, with a small trampoline nearby and plenty of chairs poolside—both parents and kids should be very happy. The garden is adjacent to a sculpture park, which connects onward to Lake Tateshina. Over three days, we enjoyed walking our dog while viewing sculptures in the park and circling Lake Tateshina—we never ran out of places to stroll. As for the Room in the dog-friendly building: the interior is somewhat plain, but it was well cleaned, had a kitchen, and we stayed comfortably. It would be nice if you could provide towels for dogs. Lastly, everyone—from the front desk staff to the restaurant team—was warm and welcoming. This Hotel has wonderful surroundings (parks and a lake) and feels like one of the highest-potential Hotels in Tateshina. Even so, keeping prices lower than other nearby Hotels while maintaining that level of service and Facilities must take tremendous effort. I hope this historic Hotel continues for many years to come. We will definitely stay again with our dog. Thank you very much for taking care of us.

I stayed on the night of a live show and used the plan with No Meals Included just to sleep. It was a weekend when live events overlapped at multiple venues and Yokohama must have been extremely crowded, but everything from check-in to check-out was consistently smooth, making my stay very comfortable. There is everything you need nearby, and it’s a convenient location for getting anywhere. Still, it’s quiet at night. It’s also close to a Minatomirai Line station. The Facility and building do feel a bit old, but the bathroom area was easy to use and there were no issues at all. We stayed for one night with just one small suitcase, but since the Room is compact, it may feel cramped if you have large luggage. Thank you very much for your hospitality!
