I was surprised there was no bathtub, but this time I truly appreciated how great the shower was. At breakfast, when I first saw the buffet, I briefly thought there might not be many options, but there was also a proper set menu in addition to the buffet, so it was more than enough. I really enjoyed the faucet. My friend also said the beef tongue set was delicious. The staff were very polite and kind. Since it is directly connected to JR, it was very convenient. I would love to stay again.

I ended up coming back again in less than a month. When I finally had some free time and wondered where to go, my feet naturally led me to Hotel AreaOne Banjinmisaki. This time the Hotel was almost fully booked. There seemed to be a sports tournament nearby, and many families were staying the night before—an eye-opening way to use the Hotel. Our family came to enjoy the sea at Banjinmisaki and to see the winged swim ring we’d spotted on Instagram. With a free rental float in hand, we played in the water at the nearly empty beach right in front of us. The kids were thrilled, and our whole family had a wonderful time. Even though it wasn’t officially beach season yet, the water was already warm enough for us to fully enjoy playing with our children along the shoreline. There’s a shower room on the first floor of the Hotel, so it’s easy to rinse off sand. If you bring your yukata with you, you can rinse off and head straight to the bath—such great convenience. I say this every time, but I truly believe the view from the Room window is the best in the world. Relaxing in your Room while watching the sunset, then setting off fireworks under a sky full of stars—I don’t think there are many Hotels like this anywhere in Japan, or even worldwide. And I feel that our Kashiwazaki trip is made possible by all of this thanks to everyone on staff who supports these wonderful moments. This time we were lucky enough to get tai meshi for breakfast, and we enjoyed an amazing meal together with an incredible view—such a satisfying morning. While browsing the Hotel’s souvenir corner, we bought some lovely sweets and a spoon like those shown in photos. Many Hotels sell souvenirs made in Osaka or Saitama—or even overseas—but this Hotel offers local specialties properly made in Niigata, which left a great impression on me. The sweets were made in Kashiwazaki and were delicious. As for the spoon—it was crafted by an artisan from Tsubame-Sanjo—and it’s so outstanding that after using it at home I honestly felt it might be “the best spoon in the world,” just like this Hotel. A Hotel that can curate souvenirs like these really might be number one! I always care more about where something is manufactured than who sells it, so I think this Hotel has impeccable taste with its strong selection of local specialties. On this trip—despite having visited dozens of times—I realized for the first time that even just browsing this souvenir corner makes staying here worthwhile. In any case, this is truly an excellent Hotel with wonderful staff who have great taste as well. We’ll definitely be back!

Our child was thrilled with the bunk bed and had a great time. The waffles at breakfast were delicious. We would love to stay again.

It feels like there’s nothing around, and the Facility stands alone. The Room and other areas were average.

I stayed with three friends (four of us in total). Because one of us has limited mobility, I asked in advance whether we could visit using a wheelchair or cane and whether a shower chair was available. I received a very polite email saying it would be possible and that they would be happy to welcome us, which truly impressed me. We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and it was the most satisfying open-air-bath Room I have ever stayed in. Overall, it was spacious enough, and the toilet was excellent as well, with plenty of space and handrails on both sides. The bath overlooking the sea also had enough room for two people to relax and stretch out. If it had been clear weather, could we have seen Mt. Fuji too? We also had our meals in the living area of the Room, so we could dine at a relaxed pace. The portions were generous—almost too much to finish.

I love Niigata in midwinter, but I also really enjoy Niigata in the season of wild mountain vegetables after the snow melts. In terms of Onsen Ryokan within the prefecture, I have previously stayed at Satoyama Jujo, HATAGO Issen, ryugon, Hinano Yado Chitose, and Rankei-so. Each Accommodation was unique and charming, and this time I was finally able to visit Shiki Yuzawa QUATTRO, which I had been curious about for a while. As you can probably tell from the above, we travel around various Accommodations because we like places with great food. From that perspective—this is how my spouse and I both felt—the breakfast side dishes were good, but not “exceptionally delicious.” As for the seaweed (“nori”), it had a color and taste we had never seen before, which made us wonder: had this processed product changed over time? Or is this its intended final form in terms of appearance and seasoning? It left us feeling a bit uneasy. Perhaps for guests who usually select ingredients carefully and cook at home on a regular basis, it may not be especially impressive. That said, we truly appreciate that they prepared such a large number of dishes at the in-room chair-and-table seating area and offered their very best hospitality. We felt they were doing everything they could to provide a comfortable stay despite limited staff and time. We would recommend it more to guests with a hearty appetite who have no concerns about their legs or knees. This is because getting into a bathtub without handrails can become difficult as you get older. Both the indoor bath and open-air bath in the room continuously supplied Onsen water, so we could soak at a comfortable temperature again the next morning. We also enjoyed relaxing on the second-floor terrace. Since this season is neither too hot nor too cold—and there are no bugs—why not plan a trip now? The room seemed renovated and was very clean, and there was also a hair straightener in addition to the hair dryer. We were satisfied with the amenities! Thank you to everyone for your kind assistance throughout our stay. The large public bath at Sakura-tei was also nearby, so getting there was easy.

We stayed as a couple. We made our Reservation one week before our stay, and the only Room available came with a semi-open-air bath. The Room was very clean and spacious, facing the ocean—absolutely wonderful. The beach is right in front of the Hotel, and it felt like a private beach; we could take a walk at sunset and really enjoy the resort atmosphere. Not only was the in-room semi-open-air bath great, but the large public bath with an open-air bath was also very spacious, so we could relax and enjoy it at our leisure. For dinner, since we don’t eat much, we chose the standard course and it was more than enough. It seemed you could also order extras such as golden eye snapper, abalone, and spiny lobster. Breakfast was entirely self-service, and even if you wanted to grill dried fish (aji), you had to go get items like a pot and solid fuel yourself, which felt a bit inconvenient. Alcohol was free during dinner, which was excellent; however, there were no vending machines inside the Hotel for other times, so having to go out to a convenience store to buy drinks was disappointing. Considering the Facility and overall offering, it felt like good value for money; overall satisfaction was high, and we would like to stay again.

We stayed for one night during Golden Week on May 2. The place was very clean and nice. There are many restaurants around the Hotel, which was very convenient. The subway is also close by, so it was easy to find and very convenient for us visiting from out of town. Thank you very much.

Thank you again for accommodating me on my business trip. This time, the Room sometimes smelled slightly musty. I’m not sure if it was just temporary, but it bothered me throughout my stay.

Dining and shopping are available at nearby facilities. It was great to have free access to the bath during our stay. The view of Mt. Fuji from the Room was beautiful. Waiting for the clouds to clear was a relaxing moment. The female front desk staff were kind and courteous, and their smiles were wonderful. Breakfast wasn’t crowded, and we enjoyed it very much. First of all, the staff’s polite and attentive service is wonderful. They even provided a brand-new sponge, and although there was no vacuum cleaner, they lent me a Quickle Wiper. In any case, it’s a very kind Hotel. It was excellent. Thank you very much.

The room was spacious, and we were able to relax and take our time. It would have been nice to have an elevator, though... I wonder if the bath was an Onsen? We left without asking. All the staff were kind and pleasant. The night view was amazing—perfect!

Perched on a hilltop in a very quiet area of Kirishima, the Room offers distant views of Sakurajima. Surrounded by mountains and tea fields, you can enjoy a peaceful stay away from the crowds. The Room is equipped with a spacious open-air bath that can comfortably fit around five people, a sauna for about three, and a cold plunge pool. Being able to use these Facility amenities as much as you like at any time you prefer truly feels like a luxury. Meals are served in a private dining room, with staff providing prompt service. We thoroughly enjoyed dishes featuring abundant local ingredients from both the mountains and the sea—refined without being overly elaborate, and well suited to Japanese tastes. There is also an extensive selection of Kagoshima shochu (far more than we could even recognize), along with sake, wine, and non-alcoholic options to enjoy freely. The staff were also extremely kind and attentive. If I had to mention one drawback, it was that the bathroom sink is located in the bedroom area of the Room, which felt slightly inconvenient. For those who want to fully enjoy the sauna, Onsen, meals, and location, I highly recommend a Multiple Night Stay. We would love to visit again.

I stay here for climbing Mt. Fuji. This was my third time, and it’s very convenient for getting to Mt. Fuji. The station is within walking distance, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby, which is also convenient. There is a large public bath as well, and it’s very relaxing. The building feels a bit old, but I can spend my time here comfortably and peacefully. I’d like to stay here again when I climb Mt. Fuji next time.

The property itself is a one-of-a-kind presence in nature. Meals begin with the head chef explaining the care and attention behind each dish. The baths—both the large public bath and the in-Room bath—feature Kinsen (golden hot spring water). The mystical large public bath is so relaxing you may drift off to sleep. They can also arrange surprises for birthdays and other occasions—you’ll be amazed!

The thoughtful consideration to ensure guests can relax and unwind was evident throughout. I enjoyed spending time in the spacious bath, choosing the firmness of pillows and beds, which made my stay very comfortable. Although I couldn't sleep much due to personal reasons, being able to use the large public bath even late at night helped me relax, which was wonderful. Recently, I've stayed at many business hotels without meals, so the breakfast buffet was a delightful service. Additionally, the courteous hospitality allowed me to have a pleasant stay. A relaxing Accommodation in a quiet setting away from the city. The Room includes a kitchen and is highly recommended for long-term stays, but there are no convenience stores or restaurants nearby. It is essential to buy anything you need in advance in the city or around the airport. A short path near the Accommodation leads to a peaceful beach—better suited for walking than swimming. At night, there are no surrounding lights, so you can enjoy a breathtaking sky full of stars. Breakfast is a Western-style one-plate meal with the same menu every day, so guests on a Multiple Night Stay may want to supplement it with additional items.

I came across this Accommodation while searching online for a place to stay during Golden Week, and it turned out to be wonderful. The staff welcomed us with warm smiles. The food, drinks, and water were all excellent. Since it was spring, I was happy to be able to enjoy mountain vegetables as well. The building and rooms are old, but they have been beautifully renovated with great skill and care. I was very satisfied. There is also a row of cherry trees nearby, so I would love to visit again during cherry blossom season.
