In Hida Takayama, I searched by price and chose this place because it was one of the cheapest and looked clean. For our family of five, we booked a Room with two large beds and two standard beds, and it was the perfect choice. The kids loved it because it felt special. I’ve stayed at many Hotels before, and this place was as clean as a luxury Hotel, plus it even had a drum-style washing machine. Great value for the price—highly recommended.

Great value for money—the Room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and we had a wonderful stay.Everyone in my group was happy and said it was a great Hotel.Since there is a cooking area in the Room, we bought Hida beef at a nearby supermarket and ate it in the Room.Everything was provided: a frying pan, plates, cups, cutlery, a knife, and a cutting board. Dish soap and a sponge were also included in the Room.It felt like most amenities were available, but there are no pajamas, so that’s the only thing to note.There was a drum-type washing machine in the Room, and the bathroom had a drying function.The bath and water areas were also clean and nice.As others have mentioned, interaction with the front desk is minimal and there may be no staff at night, but we had no problems at all.My impression is that by keeping staffing costs down, you can stay at such a nice Hotel for an affordable price.I’m giving 4 stars because there isn’t much in terms of hospitality service, but I have absolutely no complaints.(On the other hand, if you care about attentive service or hospitality, you may be better off choosing another Hotel.)Also right next door inside the neighboring Hotel was Hida Bussankan (a souvenir shop), which was another nice plus.I’d like to stay here again when I visit Hida Takayama.
