Kamenoi Hotel Setouchi Hikari

We stayed as three generations—parents and adult children.The sunset from the Room was truly beautiful, and we enjoyed the contrast between the sea and the setting sun.Every dish was delicious, and the portions were generous—we left completely full. Breakfast also featured many local specialties with a wide variety, so we ended up eating too much in the morning.The Room was kept clean and well maintained, and we never felt uncomfortable.The bath also offered a panoramic view of the sea, and we enjoyed it many times. One small downside—if I had to mention something—was that one of the locker doors in the changing room wouldn’t stay open (it wouldn’t hold in place when opened and would close on its own).Everyone at the front desk and in the restaurant was very kind, allowing us to spend our trip comfortably.It’s a Hotel we would definitely like to stay at again if we have the chance. Thank you very much.

I was truly impressed by the wonderful location, with views of the Onsen, the sea, and the sunset. For dinner, we enjoyed a local seasonal kaiseki meal; hot dishes were served in warm bowls and cold dishes were kept cold, and everything was freshly prepared using locally sourced ingredients—absolutely delicious. The staff were attentive to even the smallest details, allowing us to spend a very fulfilling time. Breakfast was also excellent; we warmed grilled fish (nodoguro) and octopus tempura over charcoal, and could really feel the care put into its preparation. We also enjoyed Kamenoi Hotel’s signature late-night tantan noodles as a tasty supper. I would love to stay again if I have the chance.
