Minakuchi Century Hotel

I like capsule rooms, so this is a Hotel I’d been curious about for a while. There’s a shopping mall next door, and the Hotel is clean with comfortable air conditioning. It seems to have been renovated—the bath area, hallways, and toilets are all spotless—and the staff are polite. The drink bar is a nice touch, and there are no real downsides except that the Wi‑Fi occasionally drops.Since it’s a Business Hotel, breakfast is the usual standard selection like in the photos, but I’m still glad it’s available. By the way, I was told that even during a Multiple Night Stay at this capsule hotel, you can remain in your room without going outside (though it gets noisy during cleaning).The biggest issue is that it’s slightly far from Hikone and Otsu. There aren’t many JR or Ohmi Railway trains, so getting there takes time—plus I have no particular reason to visit Minakuchi in the first place.

This stay was for visiting someone in the hospital, but there were supermarkets and a movie theater nearby, so we were able to spend our free time comfortably.At the Hotel, we also made use of the complimentary drinks and massage chairs.I didn’t use it myself, but the two men said the large public bath for men was great and seemed very satisfied.We also appreciated that breakfast was included.
