The Room was thoroughly cleaned and well organized, to the point that you wouldn’t notice its age, so I felt at ease during my stay. Since the Room has an open-air bath, I could soak at my own pace and it was very comfortable. Best of all, I could relax and unwind while listening to the sound of the river flowing just below. All the staff who assisted me from check-in to check-out were kind. I rated it 4 stars because I felt the incense scent at the front desk was a bit too strong.

We stayed as a family of five with three children. The meals were delicious, the Room was spacious, and we had a wonderful time. Some Reviews mentioned that it’s old or has an odor, but we didn’t notice any smell at all. While the building does show its age, it was very well cleaned and extremely comfortable. All of the staff were kind and courteous, and they were attentive throughout our meals as well, making this a memorable and wonderful trip. The cave-style bath in the large public bath was quite hot—perhaps because the hot spring source is high-temperature—so it was difficult to use with sunburned skin. However, the indoor bath was pleasantly warm and easy to enjoy, and we could adjust the temperature of the bath in our Room to our liking; our children used it 5 or 6 times during our stay. If we visit nearby sightseeing spots again, we would love to stay here again.
