Kochi Sunrise Hotel

Except during the COVID period, I have stayed here almost every year before the rainy season.The Hotel may look a bit plain from the outside,but the staff are refreshingly pleasant and very welcoming (especially at breakfast, where they greet you with smiles and work efficiently),and the Room seems to have been renovated—it is very clean and feels fresh.There is also a large public bath; it’s on the small side, but for me this is a Hotel I’m extremely satisfied with.The only reason I deducted one star is simply as a hopeful suggestion: I would be happy if there were a way for more people to use the large public bath at once.It’s not really a complaint, but at night it was unsettling not knowing whether it was full until I actually went there.That’s truly my only point.Breakfast in particular is excellent: small portions of side dishes are neatly arranged in little bowls,beautifully presented and clearly well prepared—I can only admire it.Because it’s so satisfying just to look at, I don’t end up taking too much and overeating, which I think is wonderful.In any case, this is my favorite Hotel.I’d like to stay again next year.

The Hotel staff were very kind, and although I was a bit tired, I was able to relax and feel at ease during my stay. The location is also great, and in the evening I went to a nearby izakaya. I would like to stay here again.
