Shima Beach Hotel

Enjoy the scenery with the Shuttle Service to the station. From the Room, an ocean view stretches out over a beach where you can swim, and in the distance you can see the silhouette of Mt. Fuji. The large public bath is a comfortable size,clean and well maintained, and the open-air bath also has a waterfall shower and a sauna room.Dinner lifted our spirits with a treasure-boat sashimi platter, and there were so many thoughtfully prepared, easy-to-eat dishes that we couldn’t finish them all.The simmered arame seaweed at breakfast was especially popular; we enjoyed coffee in the lobby lounge where carp swim to start the day.Seeing how hard everyone at this Hotel is working to train young international staff gave us a pleasant sense of an open-hearted future. It became a Hotel we want to stay at again.

It was a great place for summer swimming, and we had an amazing time.The shower water pressure in the bath was very strong, and because it wasn’t securely placed on the wall holder, the shower head flew off due to the pressure and felt a bit dangerous.The meals were very delicious and plentiful, and we were satisfied both nights, but the underground passage leading to the dining Room smelled musty—this was truly disappointing.The Room was clean and well maintained.Since it was just at the start of summer vacation, there weren’t many people yet, so we could relax, which was nice.On the last day, we were told we could use the bath until 2:00 PM, so after checking out at 10:00 AM we went swimming in the sea, then took a bath before heading home—it made for a really enjoyable stay.
