    The Room was very clean and stylish. Since there were only stairs, carrying a suitcase was difficult. Overall, it was good.

    A stylish, modern Business Hotel

    We ended up staying here on short notice. The Room was spacious, with a modern Japanese style—very stylish and relaxing. What was unique was that even though it’s indoors, there is a monitor on the bath wall that displays scenery. It’s described as an indoor open-air bath, but honestly the screen felt too close and bright, so I turned it off while bathing. To be honest in this Review, I would have liked a coffee maker and some tea.

    Lovely atmosphere

    The Room was very stylish and clean, just like in the photos! I was also happy that the amenities were SHIRO and Aesop, and it felt like a place with real attention to detail—my hair iron was KINUJO, and the dryer and other appliances were new as well. The fridge was integrated into the table, which was fun to use. Check-in and check-out were done via tablet, so there was no need to interact with staff, making it easy and stress-free. The bathroom was spacious enough for two people to use together, which I really liked. The bed was also large and comfortable. On the other hand, perhaps because it’s a contactless Hotel, there wasn’t any luggage storage service before check-in or after check-out, which was a bit inconvenient. Also, since the Room prioritizes a stylish atmosphere, there are few windows and it feels quite dark overall. The steps were a little hard to see as well, and my companion ended up bumping their foot. I loved that the hair iron was KINUJO, but it only worked for straightening—there wasn’t a curling option—which was slightly disappointing. Since the bathroom is fully glass-walled, some people may feel awkward. If you’re a couple or traveling with someone you’re comfortable with, I think you can enjoy it without any issues. I stayed here on a trip with my boyfriend this time, and thanks to the great atmosphere we had a special stay that felt more mature and elevated.

    For inbound travelers??

    I’ve always used IKYU, but this place is clearly aimed entirely at inbound travelers. From the entrance, it felt dark and cramped—almost like a love hotel. Our Room was on the first floor, and with no window it felt closed in. In any case, it was very dark. The bed frame sticks out, and my husband hit it multiple times and got injured. The amenities are minimal; even the deodorizing spray had only about 1 cm left in it. Because our Room was next to the stairs, every time guests on the second floor or above used them it was extremely loud. The noise continued until late at night and was unbearable. If you turn on the ventilation fan, the Room doesn’t warm up at all. I didn’t realize at first and was shocked by how cold the bathroom was. The tablet at check-in wasn’t stable because even its stand wobbled, making it hard to use. The contact number provided in advance looked like a mobile number, but we couldn’t reach anyone from there and were passed around elsewhere instead. Being on the first floor may have been better—there are only stairs, so guests on upper floors have to carry their suitcases up by hand. It really feels like it was forced into a small plot of land with no room to spare. About the only value is that you can make a Reservation for breakfast at popular nearby places for guests—but we didn’t use that either. We booked because it’s new and listed on IKYU, but I will never use it again.

    A Hotel Fully Controlled by AI

    It seems like a newly opened Hotel in Tenjin, Fukuoka. From check-in to check-out, everything is done by yourself using passwords and such. It feels convenient, but I’m not sure how I feel about it. Maybe the sauna is the main attraction. [What was good] - The pre-arrival email instructions were thorough - The staff member who happened to be there and helped us was kind - The Room was spacious and clean - The amenities were high-end (Shiro and Aesop) - There were plenty of glasses provided [What concerned me] - You can’t park right in front (narrow one-way street), so carrying luggage was tough - Even though we got an email, we still couldn’t figure out how to enter and had to retry many times (the room number was only shown at the entrance, which was inconvenient—I wanted it forwarded in the email). Probably other guests were confused too, because late at night someone tried rattling our door handle and it scared us - Stairs only (hard to carry suitcases) - No windows, so it felt dark, and even the lights were dim (was this a love hotel before?) - The tatami mat smell in the bathroom bothered me - There was a washing machine on the first floor (for staff), so people ended up being around all the time - The email said luggage couldn’t be stored before check-in, but when we arrived we were told that if you make an advance Reservation, they can store it during staff hours (during Clear). I wish this information were consistent
