    This Hotel truly deserves its high Review ratings.

    Before our stay, I didn’t expect to enjoy the Hotel experience itself this much. But once we checked in, the atmosphere and the book-filled spaces were even more comfortable than imagined—in the best way, it far exceeded our expectations. Our family loves relaxing at a Hotel, so it was wonderful that each of us could spend time however we liked without having to visit lots of tourist spots. The well-known bakery and restaurants nearby were also great, and we enjoyed exploring the area as well. It was a scorching midsummer day when walking outside was tough, but just staying inside the building was more than satisfying. When making our Reservation, I was a little surprised by how high the Review ratings were, but after staying there, I completely understand why. You can enjoy it together with the Kadokawa Musashino Museum—it’s truly a Hotel where staying itself becomes the purpose. Everyone in our family was very satisfied, and it’s a great find that makes us want to stay again.

    A Trip for Avid Readers

    I’m usually glued to my smartphone screen. Sometimes it’s nice to put it away and get immersed in print instead. This one-floor Hotel makes it easy to go back and forth to your Room with zero stress. You can bring two books from the library into your Room at a time. Once you return them, you can borrow two more, so my spouse and I ended up borrowing about 10 books each. The free drinks—coffee, tea, juice, etc.—were also much appreciated. At this time of year the Room terrace is too hot to stay out for long, but depending on the season it would be lovely to relax and read on the terrace. Breakfast looked tempting too, but this time we used the lunch buffet at Kadokawa Shokudo on the 3rd floor. Staying at the Hotel gives you a 5% discount. After that we enjoyed Kadokawa Museum until evening. The Anime & Light Novel Library, the immersive Galaxy Express 999 film, and the Bookshelf Theater projection mapping were all great. I’d love to visit again as a set with the Hotel stay. By the way, the Hotel staff were excellent—although we borrowed and returned books many times, every staff member was kind and greeted us with a smile each time. For such an affordable Accommodation, this level of service is outstanding. Since it’s a new Facility everything was very clean, and the Room size was more than sufficient. It made for a very comfortable stay. A couple of notes: the Room slippers have strong grip so they can feel unsafe if you’re not used to them, and there is no safe in the Room. I’d definitely like to stay at this Hotel again.

    The perfect setting to relax and unwind!

    I was overwhelmed by the number of books at first. There is also a spacious garden, and the surrounding environment is wonderful—an ideal place to relax on a trip. The Room was clean and well maintained, and it felt very comfortable. Next time, I would love to book a Multiple Night Stay and unwind even more.

    A quiet book-themed Hotel where you can relax.

    Although this Hotel often welcomes families with small children due to its location, it is very quiet and you can’t hear any noise from other Rooms. It’s easy to focus on reading. The Room is not only clean, but also relaxing thanks to the minimal, well-chosen furnishings. In the lobby, coffee and tea bags are always available, and hot water is provided as well, so you can really settle in. It’s also a nice touch that a cute sandwich breakfast can be delivered to your Room. The only drawback is that, again because of the location, there aren’t many dining options nearby, and the convenience store in Sakura Town closes fairly early. However, if you plan to stay in and unwind properly, this won’t be an issue at all. If you want to bring your own dinner and spend unhurried time reading or thinking in peace, I don’t think there’s a better Hotel than this.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    I stayed with my daughter. The Room was clean, quiet, and very relaxing. There were some Japan Booksellers’ Award titles in the lobby that I’d been wanting to read, and I ended up borrowing them and reading several books. All of the staff were very courteous, and I was very satisfied with the comfortable atmosphere. It’s a Hotel that makes you want to stay again. The Hotel itself doesn’t have a restaurant, so you need to go out somewhere to eat; for that reason alone, I gave 4 stars for dining. There are places nearby, but they close early, so I recommend planning your meals in advance if you’re staying here. This isn’t really a complaint—if you know ahead of time, it’s not an issue at all. I’ll be back again. Thank you very much.

    We enjoyed a wonderful, extraordinary getaway.

    We had an amazing stay. Every Room has a terrace, and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast while listening to birdsong. In the Room, books were displayed on the walls, and we enjoyed genres we don’t usually read. We would definitely love to come back again to experience this extraordinary getaway.

    Done: Your Regular Accommodation

    It was a pity that it was cold due to the unfortunate rain, but if it’s sunny next time, I’d love to relax in the Hotel garden and on the terrace. It’s not too far from home, everything is new and spotless, the bath and toilet are separate, parking is free, and you can stay at a great price. The free drinks are a nice touch, and every staff member provides outstanding hospitality—this will be my regular Accommodation (Done), haha. I’ve stayed at many Hotels for “staycations,” but this is a wonderful Hotel that truly makes me want to come back. The only disappointing thing was that there was no phone in the Room for some reason! Also no notepad or pen. I understood beforehand that it’s a Japanese-style Room where you lay out your own futon, which is a bit of a hassle—but for two people it’s so spacious it feels like it could be used for training camps or school trips, haha. There’s basically only a supermarket nearby, so it’s really suited for staying in. I’m also happy there are discounts at places like the café in the same building. I’ll be back again.

    The Luxury of Time

    It had been so long since I’d had time to get this absorbed in reading. The place was surrounded by books, and there were board games too. Breakfast was wonderful as well—such a happy time. I also enjoyed taking my time at the Kadokawa Museum next door.

    The receptionist's attitude was extremely poor.

    Due to a discrepancy with the reservation details, I informed one of the reception staff. The reservation was for 3 adults and 1 child sharing existing bedding × 2 rooms, but each room only had two beds. When I pointed this out, they said additional fees would be required to prepare more beds. I explained that this was not correct and referred to the contract details, but they ignored it and kept repeating the same thing—absolutely unacceptable behavior from reception. At that time, my voice was hoarse and I struggled to communicate clearly, yet their response made me feel as though I was being treated like something unpleasant. It was truly terrible service from that staff member. However, another staff member was kind and helpful. The first person should not be allowed on duty until properly retrained.

    Consider a long stay with us.

    First stay. The library was great, and the outdoor terrace was also enjoyable. The room was stylish and perfect for immersing in reading. Located within Sakura Town, there are also Kadokawa-related spots, making the environment excellent. Next time, I’d like to relax with a multiple night stay.

    I enjoyed my stay so much last time that I decided to visit again. It seems you took my previous review suggestion about adding an extra tissue box in the room, as there was an additional one in the bedroom this time. I was very happy to see that! Thank you so much! As always, both the room and the hotel overall were very comfortable. I even thought about how nice it would be if there were a late check-out plan until 1 PM because I’d love to relax here longer. The location is great for exploring Kadokawa facilities or just enjoying a leisurely stroll around the area. I’ve already recommended this hotel to my travel-loving friends. I’ll definitely visit again! Thank you for your hospitality!

    Family Trip

    We stayed at this accommodation for a trip to the Kawagoe Festival. Although it is a bit far from Kawagoe, it was within a manageable distance as we traveled by private car from another prefecture. The room was spacious and had large windows, creating an open atmosphere for three people. Both the room and the bathroom were very clean, making our stay comfortable. The free drinks and books available were also a nice touch. We would love to stay here again!

    A beautiful and refreshing Hotel.

    I was captivated by this accommodation during my previous stay right after its opening, so this time I invited my parents and stayed again for a birthday celebration. Upon entering the room, there was an adorable surprise (!) that made me feel the warm hospitality of the staff—thank you so much! At some accommodations, front desk staff can sometimes come across as intimidating or condescending (laugh), making check-in feel like a hassle. However, just like last time, the front desk team here had such a pleasant demeanor that I felt at ease from the very beginning. Additionally, several small but important details (which are surprisingly significant for guests) had been improved since my last stay, making it even more comfortable. Although it was just a one-night stay this time as well, I felt incredibly refreshed in such a lovely space. The room and lounge were clean and beautiful; the drinks in the lounge were delicious too. My parents also enjoyed their stay. Personally, I would be even happier if there were Japanese tea options like Sayama tea or roasted green tea from local areas. Although we couldn’t stay long this time, I hope to have another opportunity to visit in the future and spend some relaxing moments reading. Looking forward to staying here again!

    Heart Thief

    It felt like discovering a hidden gem! I had the best time relaxing in the spacious Room. The breakfast soup was exquisite, and I’m so glad I chose the breakfast-included option. Having a convenience store nearby was great, but it was unexpectedly closed at night, so I ended up walking to the local Belc store—which turned out to be fun too! If you plan on shopping, make sure to check the convenience store's operating hours. The staff were incredibly pleasant, and I enjoyed reading many books during my stay, leaving me completely refreshed. I would love to visit again and again!

    Recommended!

    I love staying at various hotels, and I was delighted to stay at this beautiful hotel at a reasonable price for its grand opening. The design of the Book Art Hotel was adorable. The room was simple but filled with exciting details like comic speech bubble decorations on the walls, colorful sofas, and records. It was my first time listening to records and discovering a band I had never heard of before. I became so captivated that I ended up searching for more about the band online. Now, I'm even considering getting my own record player someday! It was wonderful to have such a new encounter beyond books as well. The staff were kind and pleasant, and the breakfast sandwiches were hearty and delicious. I do have two requests: it would be great if disposable slippers could be provided, even if only in the suite rooms; also, having tissues in both the living area and bathroom would be convenient since one tissue box felt insufficient for such a spacious room. Overall, it was an excellent experience! I've already made another reservation for my next visit. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

    Breakfast and rooms are excellent. Parking and the number of books are disappointing.

    Breakfast options include focaccia sandwiches, soup, and beverages, which were absolutely delicious. Guests staying here should definitely make a reservation for it. The guest rooms were clean, spacious, and had an open balcony. As for the collection of books, since this is described as a "Hotel where you can stay in a library," I expected a library-level collection. However, the number of books was only comparable to one section of a public library. The parking lot was said to be reserved for Hotel use; however, the parking security staff frequently gave us various instructions and eventually stated that hotel parking arrangements were not under their jurisdiction. This left us with an unpleasant experience overall.

    It was absolutely amazing.

    There were no Reviews yet as it’s a new listing, but I chose this Room based on the cute sofa in the photos on IKYU.com. It was about a 10-minute walk from Higashi-Tokorozawa Station, which isn’t far under normal circumstances, but it was really tough in the extreme heat. I had planned to stop somewhere for lunch along the way, but there weren’t many dining options and it was too hot to search around. The Room itself was fantastic—extremely comfortable and cozy. There’s also a supermarket (Belc) right next to the Hotel where you can get anything you need, which is very convenient. For reference, there’s also a convenience store nearby. One note: disposable slippers are not provided, so bring your own if needed. I’d love to visit again during cooler weather! Thank you very much!

    A wonderful Hotel for digital detox and relaxation!

    It was only the second day since opening, but check-in was smooth, and I had a pleasant stay. Everything was clean, and the space filled with numerous books created a sophisticated atmosphere—an exciting place for book lovers. Although it’s a rebranded accommodation, the room was spotless. Bright and spacious, my room in particular had ample space in the washroom area, giving me an almost overseas hotel-like experience. The N&Co shampoo and conditioner had a wonderful scent that made bath time enjoyable. Additionally, the entire hotel was quiet, which helped me feel relaxed and rejuvenated—a definite highlight of my stay. I learned that up to two books could be brought into the room from their collection. With coffee from the lounge in hand, I enjoyed reading while listening to records on the record player provided in my room—a nostalgic yet luxurious experience that left me feeling refreshed both mentally and physically after quite some time. Whether you choose to turn off your smartphone for a day of digital detox with leisurely reading or enjoy your favorite shows on Netflix on their large-screen TV—the hotel offers various ways to spend your time as you wish. The breakfast options like sandwiches were also delicious with generous portions, further enhancing my satisfaction with this accommodation (laughs). However, as it’s still newly opened, I did notice some areas where explanations for guests could be improved: - Please provide dedicated light switches (dimmer controllers) for rooms or inform us if they already exist. Reason: It’s inconvenient to walk all the way to the entrance door just to turn off lights when feeling sleepy at night. Also wanted only washroom lighting without main room lights but couldn’t do so. - A bedside table would be helpful. Reason: There wasn’t anywhere near bed area suitable enough placing items like smartphones drinks remote controls etc felt inconvenient lacking such feature nearby during sleep hours - Tissue box addition within washrooms appreciated alongside slightly larger trash bins overall better usability - Already mentioned directly staff onsite yet internal phone system connecting front desk necessary inclusion felt missing Looking forward seeing further improvements upgrades future stays upgraded version thank-you much everything!
