    It was comfortable.

    The Facility and amenities were better than those of similar hotels. The front desk staff, while working hard to assist many inbound guests, also provided me with excellent service, including luggage storage and courteous assistance. However, there was one disappointing point: when I called at night to ask about room cleaning and towel replacement during a Multiple Night Stay, there was no response at first when the phone was answered. When I spoke to ask my question, I received an unfriendly reply, which left me wondering what was going on.

    Public bathhouse nearby

    There is no large public bath, but the nearby public bathhouse is excellent and fully equipped. I was very satisfied.

    I was advised to use the subway to reach my destination, which was very helpful. Although I had requested a single room, I was accommodated in a double Room due to the Hotel's circumstances. Thank you for that. The breakfast had a variety of dishes, and the simmered dishes were delicious. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Thank you very much.

    The room's atmosphere, furnishings, and functionality are excellent. However, I would like to mention two points of concern. First, room cleaning is not conducted unless requested by the guest. It might be helpful to explain this verbally during check-in. Second, regarding the pillows: the provided ones are quite thick, so offering thinner options for rent could improve comfort. I would love to stay here again when visiting Kyoto in the future.

    It was great.

    Both the facilities and services were excellent. The rates were reasonable, which was very helpful. While the distance from the station and the limited number of restaurants in the area were slightly inconvenient, I still had a pleasant holiday.

    Cleaning...

    Last time, I had a very good experience, so this was my second stay. However, unfortunately, the cleaning was not done at all. Shortly after entering the Room and moving the air purifier, there was a lot of dust and trash where it had been placed and against the wall. Upon closer inspection of the floor, there were small white pieces of trash scattered around. Just as I suspected, when I checked the soles of my disposable white slippers that I was wearing, there were several strands of hair attached to them. I was able to change Rooms; however, when I used the shower in the new Room, there was a musty smell coming from around the shower curtain and floor area... While I can tolerate a little bit of odor, it was quite unpleasant due to its intensity. During my previous stay everything including cleaning had been properly taken care of which made for an enjoyable experience but this time around cleanliness standards fell short (perhaps they changed contractors?). Personally speaking customer service along with cleanliness are most important aspects for any Hotel yet on this occasion cleaning left much desired.

    It was a beautiful Room!

    It's a bit of a walk from the station, but it's completely acceptable for me. Perhaps because I was given a twin Room for single use, I didn't feel cramped at all. However, being on the east side of the second floor, the view was just the wall of the neighboring building and not visible at all. Nevertheless, even with this drawback, I was able to sleep soundly instead, so this Room offers excellent value for money at this price!!

    A Hotel with an unclear location advantage

    I was very satisfied with the price as I was able to stay cheaply through the campaign, but if this were the current hotel price in Kyoto, it would be just about passing. The location at Omiya Gojo is somewhat subtle, but there are bus stops less than a minute's walk away heading east (towards the bustling Kawaramachi area and Higashiyama) and north (towards Kinkakuji and Arashiyama), and these routes weren't too crowded, so it was more convenient than I thought. I usually book hotels around Kyoto Station or along Karasuma Street, but at Omiya Gojo, the price is a bit cheaper, and I think it's a hotel I might use again.

    It was comfortable.

    I have used APA Hotel several times, but this was my first time at Kyoto Gojo Omiya. Since I used it for business rather than travel, I had a single room reservation, but they upgraded me to a twin room, allowing me to have a more comfortable stay. The hotel seemed new, and overall it was clean with solid security. The elevator wouldn't move unless you scanned your room key card, which I thought would deter suspicious individuals. Although, if someone gets on with you, it can't be helped... but that's the same everywhere. There are amenities, but there was no set with cleansing or lotion, so it's better to bring your own. Since it's a budget business hotel, that's understandable. There was a convenience store right in front, so I was able to get what I needed there. The room windows are frosted glass, so you can't enjoy the view, which might be a bit disappointing if you're traveling for leisure. The location is a bit far to walk from JR Kyoto Station, but there is a bus stop very close by, so I didn't have to walk much. Initially, I had made a reservation on another site, but IKYU.com was over 1,000 yen cheaper, so I changed it to here. I was grateful to be able to use it comfortably and affordably. Thank you very much.

    Satisfied with the spacious room.

    We initially planned to stay in a large twin room, but we were upgraded to a superior room. The size of the room remained the same, and it felt more spacious than we had imagined. We stayed with a 0-year-old, and the provision of baby soap and a sponge was extremely helpful. Additionally, the extra blanket and pillow for the child were much appreciated. Since the room had an open-air bath, it was a great memory that our child could enjoy the bath without any worries about the surroundings. The only downside was that even after changing the refrigerator setting to strong, the internal temperature did not change. Other than that, we had a very comfortable stay. Thank you very much.
