    This Hotel near the station was also great.

    The Room was spacious, the air conditioning worked well, and the large public bath was clean—overall, it was great. There isn’t a convenience store inside the building, but there’s one very close by. The highway bus stop and the station were also nearby, which was convenient. I wrote that the Room was spacious, but I’m not sure about the size of other Rooms. When I visit Tokushima again, I’ll choose this Hotel.

    Bright bathroom

    I stayed for 2 nights. The hotel smelled nice, and the Room was clean. The large public bath was not crowded, which was great, but it felt a bit like a pool and I thought it didn’t need to be so bright. I think it would be better to dim the lights a little to help save electricity as well. There were no amenities such as toner/lotion. When I tried to check out early in the morning, someone came out from the back and seemed unsure, like “Check-out?” Since there were no additional charges, I just left. Maybe check-out wasn’t necessary, but I think it would have been good to say something like “No need” or “Thank you.”

    A hidden gem.

    I used to stay at other hotels when traveling to Tokushima for business, but this time was several times better than the others. Close to the station, a large public bath, sauna, breakfast, and great value. The keyless entry with only a PIN code was unique but very comfortable. The front desk is a bit hard to find, but it won’t be an issue from next time. I wasn’t sure how to check out since there was no key to return, but... Done for my next stay as well.

    Golden Week Family Trip

    During Golden Week, we traveled around Shikoku and made a Reservation for two twin Rooms for our family of four. Both Rooms had their own unique character, and compared with other city Hotels, our stay was especially memorable. It seems to be a long-established local Hotel, and the service was excellent—making it a wonderful memory of Tokushima.

    It seems we may be reaching the limits of what we can handle in terms of maintenance and ongoing operations.

    The front desk staff seemed to be doing their best, and the Room was spacious; although the building is old, it was reasonably comfortable. However, this time there were two critical issues. The Room door’s auto-lock is unusual and feels outdated—which I could overlook—but the trash bin in my Room still contained used garbage from the previous guest. That was disgusting and unacceptable. When I contacted them, they hurried over to replace it. The other issue was at breakfast. I tried to take it positively as an effort to serve hot food, but even though it was late and nearly empty (still within breakfast hours), nothing was served after I handed over my meal ticket. The weather was bad and I needed to rush due to changes in my transportation schedule, so this was very stressful. For some reason, guests who arrived after me were served first, so I think they simply forgot about me. When I asked how long it would take, they said, “We’re very sorry—we’ll bring it right away,” but I still had to wait. It was a breakfast-included Plan, but I got fed up and checked out without eating. After speaking with the front desk, they quickly handed me a sandwich—so I did feel consideration from individual staff members—but it made me worry that staffing may be stretched too thin to run a property of this size. It seems like a long-established Hotel, but from what I saw this time, things look tough right now.

    Excellent location

    It was conveniently close to the station, and there were plenty of restaurants nearby, which was great. The accommodation cost was affordable, and it was a good Hotel.

    Highly satisfied.

    The Room was spotless. The property smelled wonderful throughout. The service was excellent. The food was absolutely outstanding. And with such great value for money, I’d love to visit again when I have the chance. My husband, who usually doesn’t like staying at the same place twice, even said, “If we come to Tokushima again, I want to stay here.” It was truly great. The selection of souvenirs was also excellent—not just the usual generic sweets like manju, but genuinely good local specialties—so that was a big plus. I ended up buying a lot. Thank you very much.

    Everything is comfortable except for the air conditioning.

    The Room has been renovated and is very clean. The large public bath has a dormitory-style design, but it is stylish and clean. However, the air conditioning in the Room does not allow you to adjust the temperature yourself, so after a long soak, it can feel too warm to sleep comfortably when you return. Other than the air conditioning, everything is truly comfortable.

    Conveniently located near the station, with clean rooms and excellent value for money!

    As the title suggests, I was very satisfied. It’s a truly clean Hotel. The breakfast was a good portion, stylish, and tasted great. Since it’s close to the station, I had no trouble finding places for dinner. I’d love to stay here again if I have the chance!

    Close to the station and spacious Room.

    Just a 3-minute walk from Tokushima Station, the Hotel is conveniently located with many restaurants nearby, making it comfortable even with No Meals Included. The front desk can be hard to find as the first-floor café blends into the space. The map on the wall shows that part of the front desk area has been converted into a souvenir shop, which might cause confusion during check-in. However, ringing the bell at what looks like a café register quickly brings staff to assist you. You can sit on a sofa while receiving guidance. Instead of keys, you'll receive an access code on paper for entry. The Room layout is unique: there's a toilet right by the entrance and a sink next to the bed. While there’s an unclear boundary between shoes and slippers areas, indigo-dyed curtains add style but may obstruct movement slightly. Coats can be hung in a closet at the far end of the room. The sink lacks storage or towel racks but features a large TV for entertainment. Curtains cannot be opened due to visibility from neighboring buildings. The public bath is open until midnight and includes one large tub and an adjacent sauna that fits about three people; however, sitting directly on towels in high heat may feel uncomfortable or risky if wearing locker key bands around your wrist due to potential burns from heat exposure near metal parts! Shower caps are available in changing rooms—appreciated details—but having clocks would enhance convenience further. During check-in requested humidifier usage instructions weren’t provided initially; night staff later replaced malfunctioning equipment promptly upon inquiry—a helpful gesture indeed! Following their Instagram account & showing proof at reception earned delightful perks worth recommending others try too! Although brief stay didn’t allow full relaxation experience overall remains excellent choice exploring Tokushima city central activities again future stays likely anticipated soon ahead!

    Booked a breakfast-included plan as I just needed a place to stay and had an early morning the next day. It was unclear where the front desk was. The female staff provided excellent service, especially the foreign woman who worked very hard, which made me wonder about the male staff's efforts. As mentioned in other reviews, breakfast was amazing. I felt bad for not being able to finish it after overeating the night before. While the building shows its age, it has been renovated inside. The room key system used a code instead of a card key, which was a first-time experience for me. The guest parking lot next to the hotel is arranged in tandem parking style and is right beside a road with passing cars, which surprised me. Perhaps arriving earlier would have meant parking elsewhere? I stayed in a room where the toilet and bathroom were combined, which I didn’t like much; however, I’d like to book a separate-room setup next time if available and stay again. I didn’t expect much based on the hotel's name but ended up pleasantly surprised!

    I was very satisfied with the pleasant service!

    The rooms feel slightly dated, but some areas, such as the large public bath, have been renovated and were exceptionally clean. Above all, the staff's service was outstanding! I would love to stay here again when I visit Tokushima.

    Udon Journey

    After finishing a udon tour in Kagawa, I stayed at this Hotel on my way back. The location is extremely convenient, right in front of Tokushima Station. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis and costs 1,000 yen per day, which is reasonable. I checked in while enjoying the welcome drink tea on the restaurant sofa. As a fan of baths, I chose this Hotel with a large public bath. However, when I asked for an extra towel, they informed me it would cost 500 yen—what? (Surprised) In an era where you can enter super sento for about 800 yen... I reluctantly gave up on taking a morning bath. After relaxing for a bit, I strolled around the Tokushima Station area but found many shops closed by 8 PM and returned to the Hotel early. The bath was practically private during my visit. After bathing, there was complimentary De'Longhi hot coffee service; however, it would have been nice to have ice available during this season. For breakfast, you can choose from three options: Japanese breakfast set meal, Western-style breakfast set meal or salad morning set meal. I opted for the Japanese breakfast—it was luxurious and filling from early in the day. Considering its location and breakfast offerings—this Hotel offers great value! Thank you for your hospitality!

    Highly Satisfied

    Convenient location near the station. The staff were polite and very pleasant. The room was renovated, spacious, and clean. Although I didn’t use the large public bath, the amenities were great, and the bathroom in the room was so clean that it was more than satisfactory. The two beds were joined together, providing a wide space to relax and sleep comfortably. For breakfast, I chose Japanese cuisine; it had a light flavor but was delicately seasoned with rich dashi broth. The presentation reflected the elegance of its maker—thank you for the wonderful meal! As someone working in children's education, I appreciated finding many children’s books available; there were several books I thought would be great for kids to read as well. It’s an excellent place to stay with children. Two things that could be improved: first, having a towel rack in the toilet would be nice; second, having a trash bin in the washroom area would also be convenient. It felt like discovering an affordable yet wonderful accommodation after a long time—thank you for your hospitality!

    Unique Layout

    The room was spacious, and the shower and toilet were separate, making it comfortable. The layout was interesting; although the dressing table was in an unusual spot, there were two seating areas including in front of the TV, which I personally liked. The public bath was clean and convenient to use, and the staff were polite and pleasant.
