    So stylish and incredibly comfortable.

    This was my first stay during the Obon holiday season. After sightseeing in the intense heat, I checked in early, and from the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the stylish interior. Drinks were available whenever I wanted, and above all, I was amazed at how pet-friendly this Hotel is in every way. For dinner, they provided a pet cart, which made it easy and comfortable to enjoy a walk and our meal. The hot dogs were delicious, and breakfast was stylish with generous portions—I was very satisfied. I would be even happier if dinner service were available as well. All of the staff were kind, and I would love to stay again.

    A comfortable Hotel

    This was my first stay with my two Chihuahuas. I decided to stay here based on Reviews and reputation. The Hotel was clean and comfortable, and all the staff were courteous, so we had a very pleasant time. It was also a lot of fun chatting with other guests, as we quickly became friendly through our shared love of dogs. It’s reassuring that you can stay with your dog in the lounge as well. The hot dogs from 8:00 were delicious, and I had plenty. Soft drinks are available anytime, and I was surprised at how reasonably priced the Accommodation is despite all the included services. It’s easy to see why there are so many repeat guests.

    Good Hotel

    We were very satisfied with the staff’s kind and prompt service. Our dog also seemed to have a great time. Despite being reasonably priced, the complimentary drink bar and light snacks were well stocked, which was excellent. We would like to stay again.

    Due to our carelessness, our dog soiled the bedding, but the staff handled it very kindly. Even though he is just a puppy, we are truly sorry for the trouble we caused. As we were leaving, they said, “Please come again! We look forward to seeing your dog grow,” and their kind words made us very happy. At the very least, we wanted to pay for the cleaning! When we stay in Kyoto with our dog again, we would love to stay at this Hotel.

    An accommodation you’ll definitely want to return to.

    We stayed for two nights, and it was truly the best Accommodation. The Room was not only clean and easy to use, but the Facility was also perfect for dogs, and the front desk staff were kind and attentive. We enjoyed walks around Nijo Castle, and on rainy days we strolled through the Sanjo arcade street—an experience that made us feel what it might be like to live in Kyoto. The welcome board was adorable and even displayed our dog’s name, which made us very happy. Every dog looked so happy. The toilet and shower in the Room were also very convenient to use. If it were closer, we would want to stay once a month. Thank you so much!! The complimentary hot dog service was also incredibly delicious!

    A Wonderful Hotel in Kyoto

    I stayed here the day before moving into Kyoto. After a long trip with my 3-year-old French Bulldog, I was extremely tired, but the friendly and attentive staff made me feel at ease. The Room was spacious and clean, and the dog-friendly Facilities were well equipped. I also enjoyed the late-night hot dogs—they were delicious. My new home is nearby, but I’d love to stay again someday. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    Pet-friendly!

    This is my second stay, and I use this place every year when I visit Kyoto for errands. It’s pet-friendly, reasonably priced, and the Facility is clean. The Facility services and amenities (for pets) are also well stocked. Nijo Castle is almost right in front of it, so you can walk there! I didn’t notice it last time, but the Room felt quite dusty this time, which was a concern. Since both the Facility and the Room are very clean overall, it was a bit disappointing. Even so, I’m satisfied. I’ll stay here again next time I go to Kyoto. Recommended for anyone traveling with pets.

    This is my second time.

    As last time, it was so clean you’d hardly believe it’s pet-friendly. The amenities for our dog were well stocked, and the dog run was just as clean as it was last year. My husband, staying for the first time, was also able to relax in the lounge area next to the lobby while enjoying a coffee. It’s a shame there’s no parking (we used nearby paid parking lots, but prices vary greatly depending on location), but we’d still like to stay again. Checkout is at 11:00, which is great because we can take our time even after breakfast. Thank you again.

    I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay of 2 nights.

    It was a very clean Hotel. Our Chihuahua was able to relax and stay calm as well. It was a shame that there was no bathtub—only a shower—and that the bathroom sink didn’t drain well, but otherwise we were very satisfied with the Hotel. The complimentary coffee was delicious, and the breakfast presentation was stylish, so we recommend it!

    An Accommodation where you can Clear your mind with your dog

    I met up with my daughter, who lives in Tokyo, in Kyoto for the first time in a while, and it was our first overnight trip with our beloved dog. The room was very clean, the Facility were excellent, and there were no unpleasant odors. We came hoping to relax and Clear away the fatigue of everyday life, but I never imagined traveling with a dog could feel this calm and unhurried. Although our dog is usually on a restricted diet, we ordered breakfast just for this day, and he was thrilled with the feast. The Hotel staff were wonderful as well, and we were truly able to unwind from the bottom of our hearts. I’m so happy to have found an Accommodation where I can feel safe staying even if it’s just me and my dog. I would definitely like to visit again.

    Clean and tidy

    This was the cleanest and most spotless Accommodation we have ever stayed at with pets. The staff were kind, and the complimentary drinks and hot dog service were excellent, with no corners cut. It is located in central Kyoto, close to the station, so the location was great. One downside was that there is no affiliated parking, so guests must find parking themselves; since many nearby lots are narrow, visiting by car required extra care.

    We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days with two families and our three dogs, traveling from Tokyo. We were truly impressed by the warm hospitality of the staff, including how kindly they spoke to our dogs. We thoroughly enjoyed the clean Room, complimentary drinks in the lobby area, late-night hot dogs, and a delicious breakfast. If we have the chance to visit Kyoto again, we would love to stay here again. Thanks to you, we had a wonderful trip to Kyoto. Thank you very much.

    This was our first s...

    This was our first stay with our dog. The place is adorable, the lounge is spacious, and the complimentary drinks were delicious. The comfortable pajamas and roomy bed were wonderful, but best of all was the wonderfully hot shower! It completely changed my impression of “only a shower”—it was fantastic. We would love to stay again.

    Wonderful Dog-Friendly Accommodation

    The rooms and shared facilities are very clean, as the accommodation is new. The space is fragranced, ensuring no animal odors and a comfortable stay. All staff members are friendly. Among city hotels, this is an excellent hotel second only to Kimpton Shinjuku. With a price range about 1/5 of Kimpton's, it offers outstanding value for money. It's truly delightful to have a hotel near Nijo Castle that allows large dogs. I will definitely return!

    Very comfortable

    Thank you for hosting us for a 2-night, 3-day stay. We had a very comfortable time, which made our travel memories even better. The spacious and clean Facility, the friendly staff's warm hospitality, and the delicious breakfast were all excellent. Its proximity to Nijo Castle makes it convenient for sightseeing, and there are lovely restaurants nearby as well. It was wonderful!

    A very comfortable Hotel

    A surprisingly affordable and dog-friendly Hotel in an incredibly convenient location near Nijo Castle. The interior is stylish and clean, with chic dog-themed art designs throughout. The staff are friendly, ensuring a comfortable stay. Breakfast featuring bruschetta is quite unique. However, while it's understandable given the central Kyoto location, it’s slightly disappointing that there’s only a shower booth and the view isn’t great.

    A clean and well-maintained Facility

    The Room was very clean and had a sense of cleanliness. The Facility was dog-friendly and very comfortable to stay in. I would love to stay here again. The staff's service was excellent.

    Unpleasant odor...

    The entrance, reception, drink bar, and hallway had a very strong odor, to the point where I had to hold my breath while passing through. Among all the pet-friendly places I've stayed at before, some had slight odors, but this was the first time experiencing something this extreme—it was quite shocking. It made it difficult to feel comfortable. The location was convenient.

    Dog-friendly and comfortable

    Although we arrived early due to concerns about the previous day's bad weather, we were able to enjoy the indoor dog run and interact with other dogs until check-in time. We appreciated being guided to our room as soon as it was ready. The staff, though young, were very polite, friendly, and efficient. The reservation-based breakfast for both humans and dogs was delicious, and we enjoyed strawberries every day during this season. We also thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing "Hot Doggy Time" in the evening again this time. Initially planning a 2-night stay, we extended our stay by an additional 2 nights for a total of 4 nights because of how comfortable it was here. The coin laundry allowed us to manage dirty clothes without long-term storage issues, which was very convenient. This accommodation may not be suitable for those who require room service, laundry service, or bathtubs as essential amenities. For such preferences, places like F in Higashiyama or A near Kurumaya might be better options. However, from a dog's perspective (and mine), Hotel AndDoggy is unbeatable! I plan to revisit Kyoto several times from autumn through year-end and have already completed my reservation here again!

    Satisfied with repeat stays

    This was my second stay. The staff's response was smooth and courteous, with expressions and tone that provided a great sense of reassurance.     Get a 50% discount voucher for your second stay! Enjoy the dog run, free drink corner, and even complimentary hamburgers during limited hours. There’s also a lounge where you can relax with your dog. No parking available, but easily accessible by subway.

    Comfortable Hotel

    Stayed for 1 night and 2 days on June 14th and 15th. Brought along a Toy Poodle. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the dog seemed happy too! The dog-friendly amenities like bed steps and diaper service made the stay worry-free. Inside the accommodation, dogs could move around on a leash, and the lobby had low sofas for dogs to sit on as well as hooks for securing them. I enjoyed relaxing with coffee in the lobby. In the evening, there was a dog yoga session which made for a fulfilling experience. Located conveniently near Nijojo-mae subway station, I would love to stay here again!

    It was disappointing that the Room was different from the one shown in the photos.

    Last year, I stayed in the same room, which was disappointing. Room 503 has a wall directly in front of the door, forcing you to walk to the right where the bed is immediately located, and then turn left again due to its L-shaped layout from the entrance, making it inconvenient. This year, I expected a room like those shown in the photos but ended up with another room with poor layout flow, which was disappointing. During breakfast, unlike when it first opened last year, things were more efficient and smooth. However, many of the hotel front desk staff seemed inexperienced and unfamiliar with their roles.

    It's amazing!

    This trip was to celebrate my niece, and I am very satisfied to have found such a wonderful Hotel. It’s rare to find a pet-friendly place with these Facilities at this price. The welcome board for dogs was also delightful! Many of the staff are accustomed to pets, and the relaxed atmosphere without the overly formal "Hotel staff" vibe was charming. Since traveling with pets makes dining out difficult, the hot dog for supper was absolutely delicious, and the drink service was excellent as well. The Room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and allowed us to sleep peacefully. The open sandwich in the morning was fantastic too. The indoor dog run was so clean that it didn’t feel like a pet-focused Hotel at all—our whole family left completely satisfied. Although there are limited parking spaces nearby for small cars like kei cars (light vehicles), there is a coin parking lot next door which is convenient enough. For regular-sized cars, there’s parking across the street as well, so it shouldn’t be an issue at all. If you’re traveling with your dog, I highly recommend this place! We’ll definitely come back again! Thank you very much!

    Feel at Home with Your Furry Friend

    This accommodation is primarily dog-friendly, and the attention to detail in fostering a great relationship between dogs and their owners is truly satisfying. The breakfast and late-night hot dogs for both humans and dogs were surprisingly delicious. However, since there are no late-night meals provided, the small table size makes it challenging to host a gathering after buying food. Please consider providing more space for placing food items. Lastly, thank you to the staff member who kindly took photos for Instagram; her service was both enjoyable and thoughtful!

    Pet-friendly Hotel.

    The Room was clean, and the service was satisfying. Both my wife and pet seemed happy. The drinks and hot dogs were excellent. I would love to stay at this Hotel again when visiting Kyoto next time.

    Front Desk

    The front desk was unattended when I needed assistance. I wanted to rent a buggy, but unfortunately, it wasn't available. However, the staff were kind, and the meals, including those for dogs, were delicious.

    I had a great time.

    The Room was clean and very comfortable to stay in. We borrowed a cart to go shopping, and there is a large supermarket near JR Nijo Castle Station, with a convenience store just nearby, making it very convenient. However, as we were instructed not to leave the dog alone in the Room, we Cancelled the Reservation for the restaurant we had booked.
