    A wonderful Hotel where solo travelers can feel safe and comfortable!

    From the moment I stepped inside, I loved the refined space at first sight. The interior and lighting were wonderful, and it felt like a special escape from everyday life. The Room was also functional and comfortable, and I was impressed by how thoroughly the spacious Room was cleaned down to every detail. It’s very convenient—just a 1-minute walk from the station. The staff were all lovely and kind, making this a highly satisfying stay. Next time, sightseeing in Yufuin will be just a bonus—I’d love to return with my stay at GEMS YUFUIN as the main purpose!

    Solo Travel Stay

    When visiting Yufuin, Onsen is a must—and since this Hotel also has a sauna, I chose to stay here. I’ve been to Yufuin several times and usually look forward to enjoying the Onsen and in-room dining at an Accommodation, but I was intrigued by this stylish Hotel near the station with an attached café & bar, so I decided on this one. Right after getting off the train, I was able to leave my luggage, which let me take my time exploring Yufuin. Check-in was handled by a female front desk staff member. Her smile was lovely and her explanations were very thorough. The Hotel goes up to the 4th floor (I think guest Rooms were up to the 3rd???). There wasn’t an elevator, but they carried my luggage for me, so it was easy. The Room had a chic design, a large TV, and a sofa that suited my taste—such a luxurious space. Guests could purchase items from the café drink menu at 50% off, so I bought a craft beer with a cute label (one of the best parts of traveling), and I was also able to relax in the wonderful lounge on the second floor. My Plan included breakfast only, and I had decided to eat dinner out, so I went to a restaurant recommended by the staff. After a delicious meal, I returned to the Hotel and fully enjoyed the Onsen and sauna. The timing worked out perfectly and it felt like having it all privately—pure bliss. Breakfast—which I’d been looking forward to—was hot sandwiches. From many drink options, you could choose one drink type, and also pick your favorite from four kinds of hot sandwiches. I chose drip coffee with shrimp & avocado. Since checkout wasn’t until 11:00, I could take my time eating alone in my Room. The shrimp and avocado were hearty and delicious. It had been a while since I took such a reward trip for myself. Once again I was moved by magnificent Mt. Yufu—and staying at GEMS YUFUIN left me completely satisfied. Thank you very much.

    Perfect location and breakfast—an Accommodation I’d love to stay at again

    It was very convenient—just a short walk from the station. Even though it’s in a great location for sightseeing, the Accommodation itself was calm and relaxing, so I could truly unwind. The Room was clean and comfortable, and I felt at ease throughout my stay. The hot sandwiches at breakfast were delicious. You can choose from four options—ham & cheese, shrimp & avocado, sweet red bean paste & butter, or apple cinnamon—and I seriously couldn’t decide (in a good way). They were freshly made and filling, and they made my morning feel extra special. The drinks at the attached café were also varied, and I was happy to see a good selection of beers as well. With its stylish design and pleasant music, being able to enjoy a slow drink at night felt perfect for an adult getaway. While relaxing in the café, I noticed there were tasteful interior details everywhere—just sitting alone and admiring them was enjoyable. It was so comfortable that I almost lost track of time and ended up staying longer than planned thinking, “Maybe just one more drink.” The staff were friendly too, and I had a wonderful stay from start to finish. When I visit Yufuin again, I’d love to stay here. I highly recommend this Accommodation to anyone who’s still deciding.

    Very good experience...

    Very good experience. This hotel is located right in front of Yufuin train station, with Lawson and 7-11 conveniently across the street. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Yufuin. However, please note that there is no elevator, so if you have a lot of luggage, you will need to carry it to the upper floors by hand.

    It was beautiful, clean, and stylish!

    Perhaps because it is a new building, it was very clean and had a sense of cleanliness, and everything from the water facilities, beds, mugs, pots, and the lounge that can be used freely was stylish! I knew in advance from the website that there was no elevator and that there was only one hot spring with designated times for men and women, so it wasn't too inconvenient. The breakfast was a hot sandwich, and I wondered if it would be enough, but in reality, it was a very satisfying size and extremely delicious. I think this price for this level of satisfaction is quite cheap! I definitely want to use it again.
