    A great-value Hotel in a highly convenient location

    I stayed for four nights to take a graduate school entrance exam. The Room was simple and compact, very clean, and amenities (except toothbrushes) were available at the front desk in a pick-and-choose system with a wide variety. The mouthwash was especially useful. My Room had no bathtub—shower only—but it was sufficient for the season. The sink had an island-style layout, which made the limited space feel more open. The bathroom area and the bed could be separated by a curtain, which was convenient when changing clothes. Also, the Hotel front desk staff were kind and very helpful—I truly appreciated their support. Breakfast was more substantial than I expected for this price. I saw many international guests as well. The location is great: close to the station, with a convenience store right in front. It’s easy to see why it’s fully booked—excellent value for money. This is a Hotel I’d like to use again. On the day of my exam, the Higashiyama Line stopped running, but I was able to get there via the Meijo Line. It seems that students staying near the Higashiyama Line didn’t make it in time for the start of the exam. Thanks to staying in Sakae, I was able to avoid that problem.

    The staff are wonderful.

    The Room was pleasant, with no wasted space, and the large TV was great.\nIt was also very nice that the bathroom area and the bed area could be separated with a curtain.\nTwo small things I noticed: there was no bottled water, so I wasn’t sure whether the tap water was drinkable, but luckily there were convenience stores and a drugstore nearby so I could easily get some.\nThe other thing—only slightly—was that a bit of morning light came in through the window curtains. Other than that, the location was excellent and it was a very good Hotel where I felt no inconvenience at all. It made me want to go to Nagoya specifically to stay at this Hotel again.\nThe staff’s smiles were very welcoming—not only at the front desk, but also the person who helped with cleaning.\nI would love to stay again.

    It was freezing cold...

    At check-in, we were told, “The entire building uses centralized automatic air conditioning and cooling is on; if you feel cold, please turn it off.” However, even though it was still April, only cooling was available. Even after turning off the Room air conditioning, ventilation air continued to blow in, so it was extremely cold. Since there is only a shower room, we couldn’t warm up in a bathtub either. The Room itself was spacious and easy to use, which made this especially disappointing.

    Your First BW Hotel Experience

    I don’t have any major complaints, and overall I think it’s above average. I do have some questions about the air conditioning. Even when set to 24°C, the Room temperature didn’t rise, and even at 27°C it just blew cold air on me and felt chilly. In the end, I turned it off and stopped using it. Maybe because of the Room size, there was no humidifier. I understand it isn’t guaranteed to be provided, but in winter the humidity is low, so for people with sensitive throats it can be tough—I think having one would have been better.

    Overall satisfied.

    Stayed here for a live event in Nagoya. Hotels in Nagoya are said to be expensive during events, and this one was no exception despite being No Meals Included. However, it was conveniently within walking distance from the station, relatively new, with comfortable beds and an overall pleasant stay. Slightly disappointed that there was no bathtub even though it was a Premium Twin room. As is common nowadays, the reception staff were foreigners and many guests were international travelers. There was also a convenience store right in front of the hotel. Overall, a satisfying accommodation experience.

    The heater is not available.

    Despite being mid-November, the Hotel did not have a heater. Even after increasing the air conditioner's temperature, the Room remained cold. Upon inquiring the next day, I was informed that the heater had not yet been switched on and was unavailable. Unaware of this, I had set the air conditioner to high fan mode and ended up waking up in the middle of the night due to the cold.

    The amount of breakfast is just right and satisfying. Detox water is recommended. I was surprised that the toilet is in a private room.

    Convenient Hotel for Transportation and Shopping

    I stayed for two nights and had a pleasant stay. The accommodation fee was surprisingly cheap. It was close to Sakae Station, and there were plenty of shopping and dining options. I brought my own shampoo and body soap as the provided ones were not great. I forgot something, but they contacted me immediately. Thank you very much. I would like to stay again next time.

    First time use.

    I was looking for a Business Hotel near Sakae for a business trip and decided to stay here as the rates were reasonable and it had been a few years since the interior was renovated. I felt that everything was simplified, both the hotel and the service, for better or worse. I understood that due to the reasonable pricing, there was no bathtub and the service amenities were insufficient. However, upon entering the Room and looking around, I found urine stains on the floor under the toilet, presumably from a male guest, which significantly lowered my mood. I felt that perhaps the Hotel compromised on hygiene to keep the prices low. It was disappointing that the lack of cleanliness was so apparent to anyone who looked. Other than that, I thought it was a Hotel that matched the price. I sincerely hope they will be thorough about hygiene.

    It feels good at the new Hotel.

    I used the property for accommodation during a live event. I wish it had been clearly stated that there was no bathtub, as my legs and back were tired. The bed was comfortable, and unusually for a hotel, the pillows were also good. The breakfast was healthy, but I think it might be insufficient, especially for men. The staff, both the cleaning and front desk personnel, were polite and pleasant. The access was very good.
