    The stay was even more comfortable than I had imagined.

    I stayed at Dormy Inn Aomori on a solo trip. I often use a Business Hotel when traveling alone, but this Hotel was far too wonderful to be called just a Business Hotel. First, the breakfast: a buffet with many local dishes—I ended up eating more than I should in the morning. Next, the baths: the water was very pleasant, and there is also an open-air bath and a sauna. I was disappointed to see a foreign parent and child soaking and throwing towels in the tub, but aside from that I could relax at ease. It was also fun to enjoy the complimentary ice cream while looking at the night view after bathing, and the late-night soba service was great as well. With smaller noodles and a light broth, even an elderly woman like me could enjoy it. It’s about a 7-minute walk from Aomori Station. The route is straight so it’s easy not to get lost, and it was convenient that there is an airport bus stop right in front of the Hotel. The male front desk staff were also very kind. Overall I was extremely satisfied except for a faint smell of cigarette smoke in my Room. I will definitely visit again. Thank you very much.

    Beyond a Business Hotel

    Even considering it was a holiday period, I felt it was too expensive for a Business Hotel—maybe it’s not really a Business Hotel anymore. That said, everything is new and spotless! And above all, the baths are unbelievably good: spacious, great lighting and background music, an open-air bath, real Onsen, plus a sauna and cold plunge. It’s wide and clean, and if you open a small window you can even see a lovely seaside view. The day I stayed there must have coincided with some event—I could see fireworks from the bath, which was incredible. So amazing that I couldn’t stop whispering “amazing” to myself. The Room is small, but it feels like they’ve pursued maximum comfort with only the essentials. The bed is wide and comfortable, the sheets feel great, and overall it’s very practical. The TV also lets you watch U-NEXT or YouTube using your own account, which is convenient. If you get an ocean-side Room with a good view as well, I think even at this price (over 20,000 yen on average per night for No Meals Included) it would be a perfect 100/100. The complimentary services are excellent (the massage chair was free too), and the relaxation area on the top floor where the baths are located is spacious with an amazing view—plus ice cream and manga—so that was fantastic as well. Both check-in and check-out are automated. There’s almost no interaction with staff, but they do greet you and explain how to check in. One kind staff member told me that drinks in the dining area were available too, which was really comforting. One subtle but truly great point: there are washing machines in the bath area, so you can start laundry for free (detergent included) before taking your bath. Not having to move to another location is genuinely convenient. The dryer was paid (100 yen per 10 minutes). Amenities in the bath area include makeup remover lotion/cleanser(?), toner/skin lotion? Wait: makeup remover + toner + emulsion provided. In the Room there was only hand wash (apparently usable for face washing too). (Shampoo/conditioner/body wash are in the shower room.) There are restaurants nearby as well as convenience stores close by. It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but since it’s along a main road it didn’t feel isolated at all. I’d like to stay again (though if prices go any higher it might be tough!).

    I chose this place because it has an open-air bath.

    Despite being in the city center, the top floor features an open-air natural Onsen bath with panoramic views over Mutsu Bay. After staying here, I can’t go back to other Business Hotels. The Room was spotless, the TV was large, and having a door between the entrance area and the bedroom made it easy to relax and sleep well. Breakfast was packed with Aomori specialties. I was very satisfied.

    The location is very...

    The location is very convenient for the train station, bus stops, sightseeing, dining, and shopping. It is clean and comfortable to stay in. However, there were times when I had to wait for the elevator—especially when I was in a hurry to leave—which felt inconvenient.

    The elevator is disappointing.

    Among the many Dormy Inn properties, this is a relatively new and clean Hotel. The guest rooms are also very well maintained, as you would expect from a newer property. The Onsen also met the quality I expect from Dormy Inn, and I was satisfied. However, the in-room layout and Facility are standard for Dormy Inn—neither better nor worse than expected. Unfortunately, the elevators are a major downside. In general, compared with other hotel chains, Dormy Inn elevators are noticeably slow and the cars are on the small side, so you may not be able to get on when they’re full. Even so, the elevators here are even slower and take a long time to arrive. Even when it isn’t crowded, you can end up waiting quite a while. It’s bad enough that you should assume you’ll be late for any meeting time. It was so frustrating that it made me consider choosing another Hotel next time. Truly disappointing.

    Fourth stay

    This is my fourth consecutive year staying here for work, and I have once again been well taken care of. It’s a Hotel where I can stay with complete peace of mind. My comments are as follows: ・I stayed for two nights. The Room layout is just right, and I can sleep soundly in the bed. The Room is very comfortable. ・I’m always satisfied with the meals. What impressed me again this time was how cheerful and energetic the restaurant staff are, and how pleasant their greetings and friendly words to guests feel. I’ll continue to support you. ・What I noticed in my fourth year is that the number of inbound guests (especially from Asia) has increased dramatically. As a result, the Onsen I was looking forward to was disappointing: the wash area was sticky so there was nowhere to put anything, the floor was wet, and towels were scattered around. However, even late at night, a staff member—probably from the front desk (not housekeeping)—came to clean. If you could add signs or notices encouraging inbound guests to keep things clean while using the facilities, I think Japanese guests would also feel more comfortable using them with peace of mind.

    Great value for money.

    Stayed overnight on the way to another Onsen. Arrived at night and enjoyed the sauna, cold bath, rooftop outdoor bath, and relaxing chair space—felt refreshed. The sauna was very hot and extremely satisfying. There were many international guests, and I saw someone with their hair in the bathwater, so I avoided entering the bathtub but was fully satisfied with the sauna. The breakfast was amazing. Local dishes were served, and personally, it was better than Hibiya's Imperial Hotel. No boring menu items—completely satisfying. The room is small but sufficient for just sleeping. For this price, the satisfaction level is excellent. This was my first time staying at Dormy Inn, and I've become a fan. Now I'm even checking out Dormy Inns in Tokyo because I want to enjoy their saunas again!

    No interaction with staff at all (laugh).

    Self check-in & self check-out. Convenient or impersonal, depending on your perspective. A 70-year-old companion found it confusing and expressed frustration. My regular accommodation in Aomori is Dormy Inn Hirosaki. Comparing the two, the first difference is the pillows. Here, there are two oddly firm pillows, while in Hirosaki there was one firm and one soft pillow. Perhaps because the building is newer, the room here feels slightly more spacious and cleaner than in Hirosaki. As with Hirosaki, there seems to be an overwhelming increase in Chinese tourists lately. A hotel catering exclusively to domestic guests (though likely impractical) might actually be well-received!

    Delicious breakfast

    The semi-double room is spacious enough, the bed is comfortable, and the Onsen is excellent. The shijimi clams are also delicious. However, the hallway was noisy with voices late at night. Would love to stay again!

    Reliable and Comfortable Dormy Inn

    Located about a 6-minute walk from Aomori Station through a covered arcade, so no umbrella is needed. The building and facilities are modern, and the Onsen on the top floor is clean, though it may feel slightly small for around 8 people. Breakfast features local Aomori specialties such as senbei soup and fried scallops (adding more Aomori-style sweets would make it unbeatable!).

    Reliable and Comfortable Dormy Inn

    Positive Points: Onsen Large Bath: Spacious, equipped with Panasonic hair dryers, massage chairs for after bathing, and complimentary ice—everything is well-prepared. Breakfast: Unlimited scallops allow you to create your own rice bowl. Local specialties such as scallop fry, squid mince cutlets, and senbei soup are abundant and delicious. Amenities: The pillow was excellent. Improvement Points: Towels: It would be nice to have hand towels available. Overall Review: About a 10-minute walk from the station. It's manageable in pleasant weather but might feel a bit tough during colder seasons. The Hotel is comfortable, so I would like to stay again if I have the chance. Thank you for your hospitality!

    A comfortable Hotel.

    This was my first time staying here. The staff at the reception were very welcoming, making check-in a pleasant experience. The Room was clean and well-maintained, allowing for a very comfortable stay. Breakfast featured an abundance of Aomori's local ingredients, and I was impressed with the high-quality meal to start the day. I would definitely like to stay here again when visiting Aomori.

    The open-air bath was especially relaxing. Breakfast included a variety of Aomori specialties such as scallop, tuna rice bowl, fried scallops, barayaki, and senbei soup, etc. Everything was delicious and satisfying. I would recommend this place to my friends. The view of the sea from the Room's window was fantastic, but I wished the window were larger.

    I stayed here during a trip with friends. The Room was clean and tidy, and the fact that the large public bath was open all night was a great point as we could use it without worrying about time. Although it's not easy to visit Aomori often, this is a Hotel I would like to stay at again.

    Breakfast: Fried scallops, sashimi with grated yam, senbei soup, barayaki, and apple pie. Enjoyed the local specialties to the fullest. The complimentary ice cream after bathing was a delightful touch. Got caught in the rain and purchased a plastic umbrella; it was kindly disposed of at checkout.

    Stayed during this Golden Week trip with my wife. As we both love saunas, we chose Dormy Inn without hesitation. The sauna and open-air bath exceeded expectations in quality—absolutely no complaints. We will definitely stay again when visiting Aomori.

    The top floor Onsen area smells of tobacco.

    Overall, I was satisfied, but there was one issue: the smoking area on the top-floor Onsen level caused an unpleasant odor to fill the adjacent observation lounge, which was disappointing. Isn't a "smoking room" without proper ventilation a violation of regulations?

    No complaints except that it's a bit far from the station.

    It's a bit of a walk from the station, but since it's within an arcade, it's not stressful. The building is new and clean. The fresh apple juice at the welcome drink corner was very delicious. The room was more spacious than expected and comfortable, with a view of the sea from the window. The slippers were slightly thicker and more luxurious compared to those at other business accommodations, making a noticeable difference when walking to the large public bath. These small details truly reflect Dormy Inn's quality. The large public bath on the top floor was spacious with both a sauna and an open-air bath, though it was cold in the open-air bath due to strong winds. I also appreciated that the hairdryers in the changing room were high-performance models. In addition, there were three high-function massage chairs in the post-bath relaxation area along with their signature ice pops and lactic acid drinks service, as well as an extensive collection of comics—truly exceptional hospitality as always. Other than being slightly far from the station, there wasn't a single complaint about this accommodation!

    It was a comfortable stay.

    It was my first time staying at Dormy Inn, and I had a very comfortable experience. Right after check-in, I headed straight to the bath and enjoyed having it all to myself. The indoor bath and the open-air bath with snow falling were delightful. The free massage chair was truly appreciated—it helped relieve my business trip fatigue. I was also happy to find two types of high-performance hair dryers from different brands available, as I had wanted to try them out. The breakfast featuring ingredients from Aomori Prefecture exceeded expectations with its variety and quality. The spacious dining area allowed me to enjoy a relaxed and delicious meal. It would be nice if small packs of lotion and emulsion were included in the amenities (though they are provided in the large public bath). I accidentally left something behind but called after returning home to request it be sent back. The front desk staff handled it kindly—thank you very much! Next time, I plan to make an early Reservation for Nebuta Festival season. *The complimentary apple juice is incredibly delicious! It was heartwarming to see foreign guests enthusiastically telling the staff how tasty it was while they were refilling it.*

    The Onsen large bath is excellent.

    The public bath was excellent. It features a ReFa shower head, high-quality hair dryers from ReFa and Panasonic, and a shampoo bar, which are delightful for women. Makeup remover, facial cleanser, toner, and moisturizer are also provided. The massage chair was relaxing to use at your own pace. Although the hotel is a short walk from the station, the covered shopping street makes it an easy journey. Check-in and check-out were done via machines, so there was no interaction with staff.

    Dormy Inn in Aomori with excellent service

    Staying at the reliable Kyoritsu Resort. The concern before staying was that it takes about 10 minutes from Aomori Station. I was worried about the snowy roads. I head to Aomori Station by bus from Aomori Airport. There was a bus stop near Dormy Inn, so it would be quicker to get off there, but I decided to go to Aomori Station for sightseeing as well. After sightseeing there, I head to the Hotel, and it's easy to walk with the arcade roof. The Hotel is also comfortable. There is apple juice as a welcome drink at the front desk on the 4th floor, which I enjoyed. The Room is clean, allowing for a pleasant stay, and the bath is extremely comfortable. The relaxation room has three massage chairs. There are also a large number of comics, allowing you to enjoy the best feeling. Overall, I felt it was the reliable Kyoritsu Resort.
