  Surprised by the fire alarm.

  Around 4 PM on the day of our stay, as we were preparing to go out for dinner after checking out, a sudden announcement over the property’s PA system alerted us to a fire alarm. It was reported that there was a fire on the 9th floor and we should evacuate. My wife and I, staying on the 10th floor, hurriedly grabbed only our belongings and headed into the hallway. There was no one else in sight, but we used the emergency stairs to descend to the lobby on the 2nd floor. Only one other guest had evacuated like us. The hotel staff did not seem particularly flustered and only informed us that it was a false alarm when we asked them about it. Relieved for now, we returned to our room. We went out until around 8 PM that night and checked out at around 9:30 AM the next day; however, during this time and even at checkout, there was no explanation given about the fire alarm incident whatsoever. It felt as if it wasn't part of any handover notes since even inquiring with morning staff revealed they were unaware of any such fire alarm occurrence. Even if this false fire alarm resulted from guest error or prankster activity, I believe an explanation is necessary for guests who were forced into evacuation actions due to it. Depending on circumstances, this might be an issue for regulatory authorities.

We sincerely apologize for disturbing your rest due to a false alarm from the fire alarm system during your stay, and for any discomfort caused by inappropriate responses from our front desk staff. The cause of the false fire alarm was determined to be an accidental press of the emergency call button in the 9th-floor hallway by a guest, which triggered alarms on both the 9th and 10th floors. We deeply apologize again for any anxiety or concern this may have caused after the alarm was triggered. Additionally, we should have communicated accurately with our guests to prevent confusion once we had grasped the situation. However, there was insufficient guidance provided to guests and a lack of proper handover among staff. Although we have instructed our self-defense firefighting team to exercise caution, we realize that it is still inadequate. We take this incident seriously and intend to review our self-defense firefighting measures once more to create an environment where everyone can feel safe.   Solo Female Travel

  Check-in and check-out were easy and smooth. It was said to be a few minutes from Shimbashi Station, so I tried walking, but it wasn't a distance to walk while pulling a carry case... I used a taxi on the way back. I spent time at the bar on the first floor, which is easy to use, and in the morning I had coffee and lined up for free pancakes. The Room was equipped with speakers, so I spent my time listening to music. I'm someone who likes soaking in bathtubs, so I thought it was unfortunate, but there were showers from above and from the side as well; even though it was a cold winter, it surprisingly wasn't cold. I could spend my time without any worries, which was very nice. I would like to use it again if there is an opportunity!

  It was a clean Hotel...

  It was a clean Hotel. You must take the elevator from the first floor to the second-floor front desk. The same applies when leaving. After checking out, the wait for the elevator was long, so I asked if I could use the stairs to go down from the second floor. The front desk replied that there were no stairs. They probably don't want guests to use them for security reasons, but it's hard to believe there are no stairs. It was a bit questionable.
