    The best-value Hotel!

    It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but that’s why it’s more affordable. For the size of this Room and how good the breakfast was, I couldn’t believe the price (they even had roast beef!). The standout was the female front desk staff: she welcomed me with a natural smile and handled check-in efficiently. They also upgraded my Room. Thank you very much.

    Great value for money.

    This Business Hotel feels like great value for money. With breakfast included, it cost under JPY 8,000 per night for two people. The Room was a twin, with beds, a table, and chairs for two—overall very comfortable. We added breakfast this time, but honestly, given the selection, we would rather pick something up at the Lawson next door. It wasn’t bad, but without breakfast it’s under JPY 5,000 for two people. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the station. To get to the downtown area, you can take a city bus from Kujo Depot nearby (often less crowded). Please note that while buses go to Kiyomizu-dera and Sanjo Street, you cannot reach Kinkaku-ji or Ginkaku-ji directly from Kujo Depot.

    Amazing value for money!

    We arrived at the Hotel in the morning. We were able to borrow the Hotel’s bicycles for free, so we rode to our destination and enjoyed sightseeing. For lunch, we biked to a bakery restaurant in Kawaramachi. It helped us save on transportation costs. We checked in early and went to the large public bath. It was almost private, so we could relax and enjoy a long soak. It felt great. At breakfast, we ended up sharing the venue with a large group of international guests, but they left quickly, and it was quiet after that. The breakfast selection is extensive and very satisfying. The roast beef, meat soup, and chikuzen-ni were especially delicious. I’ve stayed at other Business Hotels of a similar class in Kyoto, but this Hotel has the best breakfast. We’ve already decided to stay again with friends in August. Highly recommended.

    Kyoto with Your Beloved Dog (2)

    Stayed for 2 nights with my dog at the end of the year. This was our second stay. At check-in, the front desk staff addressed my dog by name, which made me very happy. The room is not particularly spacious, but it is designed to make efficient use of space, such as being able to hang hangers above the bed area. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the facilities were in excellent condition. Both the front desk staff and breakfast venue staff were kind and attentive. The breakfast had a sufficient variety of dishes and was delicious. It seems that new bookings for stays with dogs are no longer accepted, which is very disappointing. If stays with dogs become available again in the future, I would love to return. Thank you!

    This time, I stayed ...

    This time, I stayed with my son again. Although we had separate Rooms, making it feel more like a solo trip, thanks to the free rental bicycles, we were able to explore various places together. The bicycles were so comfortable that I even purchased one for home use. I appreciated the additional notice encouraging guests to inform the front desk if they felt uncomfortable due to any rule violations in the large public bath area, alongside the existing posters about bath etiquette. Such thoughtful measures made my stay peaceful and pleasant. (For reference, I did not witness any rule violations during my stay.) The breakfast was delicious, and everything was served cleanly and neatly, allowing me to enjoy a comfortable meal experience.

    The service was excellent.

    This was my first time staying here. Check-in and everything afterward went smoothly, and I had a comfortable stay! The location is great, and although there is no parking on-site, nearby options made it convenient.

    Returning guest.

    I have used this Hotel several times and have been satisfied every time. This time, I noticed an improvement: there were slipper compartments in the individual lockers at the large public bath. (I once saw foreign guests entering the changing room with their shoes on, so I wondered if this was the reason.) I appreciate your thoughtful consideration for your guests! That said, some foreign guests still took out slippers from the lockers to wear them (laughs). It's a mystery to us Japanese (laughs). (But I understand it's a cultural difference.) Anyway, thank you for your efforts at the Hotel!! The breakfast was delicious as well. Above all, I am grateful that you frequently wiped down tables to keep them clean!!

    A Hotel with few drawbacks, but clear challenges for school trips.

    It felt a bit far to walk from Kyoto Station with luggage, but taking a taxi took about 5 minutes and cost approximately 1,000 yen. While the hospitality wasn't extraordinary, the staff were polite and efficient during check-in. As an economy Hotel, it felt sufficient. Since this trip was mainly for sightseeing, I chose the most affordable room type, which had enough space to open luggage, was clean, and provided a comfortable stay. The public bath was not particularly satisfying in terms of Facility or size; it felt like its existence was the only notable aspect. Upon using it, I found it underwhelming, though it was minimally cleaned and did not appear disorganized. The major issue with this Hotel was the handling of school trip groups, which lacked consideration for general guests. A school trip whiteboard was placed prominently next to the front desk, resembling a school bulletin board, ruining the relaxing atmosphere one would expect at a Hotel. From the elevator hall on the first floor, you could clearly see teachers lounging in a space seemingly provided by the Hotel for the school trip, which felt inappropriate and disappointing. It gave the impression that this was their workplace or home, which was frustrating. Without the school trip issue, my satisfaction rating would have been at least 4 or 5 instead of 2. On the departure day, the school trip group was gone, and the Hotel had a completely different atmosphere. If the lack of consideration for general guests due to school trip groups continues, I would hesitate to stay here again in the future.

    Traveling Grandma

    A budget-friendly Hotel conveniently located near Kyoto Station. Due to its popularity, it is mostly frequented by international guests, offering a unique atmosphere that feels like being abroad. However, despite being a non-smoking facility, there is a strong smell of cigarettes, especially in the hallways, which is disappointing. Other than that, it is an entirely comfortable Hotel.

    First-time Use

    I stayed here for the first time. It is within walking distance from Kyoto Station. There are many restaurants nearby, and a convenience store is right in front, making the location excellent. Unlike the bustling areas around Kyoto Station or Kawaramachi, it is situated in a calm and quiet area. The hotel also has a large public bath and offers great value for money.

    I stayed with my dog, and the room was clean on a floor dedicated to guests with dogs, allowing us to stay comfortably. I would like to use it again when I visit Kyoto.

    Kyoto with Your Beloved Dog

    I stayed for 5 nights with my beloved dog during the New Year holidays. The Room is next to the front desk on the first floor, making it very convenient for walks. It's not particularly spacious, but it's sufficient for spending time with my dog. Everything is new, and the cleaning is thorough. The refrigerator is surprisingly small in capacity. There are many coin-operated parking lots, so you can park near the Hotel until the evening. At night, due to the New Year holidays, the area near the Hotel was full. If you go closer to Kyoto Station, I think you'll find an available parking spot somewhere. The staff at the front desk and breakfast venue are all kind. You can check the congestion of the large public bath from the Room, so I was able to bathe when it was less crowded. There are lockers with keys in the changing room. Since there are no chairs, you have to return to your Room immediately after drying your hair. This seems to help alleviate congestion. The breakfast offers a relatively wide variety, and every dish is delicious. On New Year's Day and the 2nd, there were traditional New Year's dishes and ozoni, allowing us to enjoy the New Year atmosphere. It was an enjoyable trip with my beloved dog. I would like to use it again when visiting Kyoto.

    No advantages other than being able to stay with dogs.

    I needed to stay in Kyoto city for two nights with a dog and a child during the busy year-end period. It was the only property available for reservation with a dog, so I stayed there for the first time. Due to the year-end busy season, the price seemed to be more than double the usual rate, and it felt expensive for a business hotel with no meals included. If the stay was pleasant, such a price might be acceptable, but it wasn't, so I won't be staying here again. Here are the disappointing points:↓ 1. Despite having informed in advance that there would be one child, two adults, and a small dog, only towels for two adults were prepared. 2. There was powdered green tea in the room, but no spoon. I didn't know how to drink the green tea. 3. The cleaning was generally sloppy. Dust was accumulating in the corners. (Not only in the room but also on the floor of the elevator going down to the large bath.) 4. Right after checking in with a long line, I was told "a staff member will guide you," so I hurriedly followed the person, but they didn't carry my luggage and just guided me to an entrance a few meters ahead. If that's the case, there's no need for a guide, and I'd prefer they manage the check-in line. 5. There are only four washing machines and dryers each in the coin laundry room, but someone used two dryers for two hours in one room, and the others were occupied, so I couldn't use them until late at night. The number of hotel rooms doesn't match the number of coin laundry machines. Moreover, the floor of the coin laundry room was dusty and dirty. 6. It's nice to have a large bath, but the changing room is extremely cramped and congested. The lockers are all concentrated in one place, which seems to be the cause. There's a sign at the entrance of the changing room saying "Do not bring footwear inside," so slippers are scattered at the entrance, but it's a mystery why they don't allow the use of the space in the lockers to store slippers. 7. There was only one bowl for the dog in the room, so if I put water in it, I couldn't give food. Also, there weren't enough plastic bags for the trash can to dispose of used toilet sheets.

    Very pleasant service.

    The entire space was newly designed, with minimal amenities, but the colors and indirect lighting created a very pleasant atmosphere. I was unable to reach them by phone in advance, and although I intended to inform them by email about an additional person, I mistakenly replied to a text message that was meant to provide the email address, so it was not received. Despite the fact that the email did not reach them due to my mistake, they made up the sofa bed within 20 minutes after check-in and apologized for the wait, which made me feel very grateful. Everyone was efficient, attentive, and kind, and I thought the service was excellent. It was unfortunate that we couldn't dine together as a family due to the rule that dogs cannot be left in the Room, but it couldn't be helped. Since there is no parking lot, they introduced us to nearby parking. Perhaps due to the New Year's holiday, parking spaces were highly competitive. If you have plans, it might be a good idea to allow extra time.
