    Perfect for visiting Kumamoto Castle Hall

    It was raining, but I could get here by bus from the airport without needing an umbrella. I stayed for an event at Kumamoto Castle Hall. It was very convenient since dinner and souvenir shopping could all be done at Sakura Machi. The Room was on the 11th floor, almost the same height as the observation deck, and Kumamoto Castle was right in front of me through the window. It’s also close to Kumamoto Castle—about a 5-minute straight walk from Kato Kiyomasa’s statue. The next morning the rain had stopped, so before breakfast I enjoyed a relaxing walk along the long wall with no one around. The amenities information said there was no cleansing product, but on the front desk floor there were cleansing oil, face wash, toner, and emulsion (DHC), along with other items available for self-service. The Hotel is new and clean. As others have mentioned, if you’re used to elevators that don’t sway at all, you might notice a slight sway. I also enjoyed local Kumamoto dishes at breakfast. If I have another chance, I’ll stay again. When there’s an event, I think the breakfast venue tends to get crowded with related guests/staff. Thank you very much.

    Recommended when using public transportation.

    Located in the same building as Sakura-machi Bus Terminal, Sakuramachi Kumamoto, and Kumamoto Castle Hall, you can enjoy your stay without stepping outside. The front desk is on the top floor, offering a great view of Kumamoto Castle. The staff at the front desk are efficient and welcoming, making for a comfortable experience. However, regarding the Facility, it is necessary to take an elevator to the 14th-floor front desk before transferring to another elevator for guest rooms. Additionally, the elevators tend to shake noticeably, which caused some concern among family members. With its new brand launch and convenient location for locals as well, I look forward to staying here again.

    Used for attending a conference.

    This is my third stay at this accommodation. I stayed here for a conference, and the convenience of being in the same area as the venue was unparalleled. Additionally, Sakuramachi Bus Center and shopping centers are located in the same area, making it extremely convenient. The proximity to both downtown and Kumamoto Castle made it an excellent location for sightseeing and dining. The room was clean with a great view, and the breakfast venue was bright. While the breakfast selection wasn't extensive, each dish was carefully prepared and satisfying. The staff were also very accommodating. I would definitely choose this accommodation again when visiting Kumamoto!

    The location is excellent.

    Located in the same building as the bus terminal and concert hall, offering unparalleled convenience. The Room also provides a stunning view of Kumamoto Castle. The lobby has a pleasant fragrance. However, the elevator's slight shaking was a bit unsettling.

    Extremely Convenient

    Direct access to Sakura-machi Bus Station was convenient. The staff were friendly, the Room was clean, and the bath amenities were excellent. Highly recommended for those using the bus.

    The location is excellent.

    I stayed here for the first time in years due to an event. The room was spacious with a nice view of Kumamoto Castle, but for a suite room costing over 250,000 yen for 4 nights, the amenities and hairdryer felt cheap. Despite being for two guests, there were only two face towels provided. For this price range, the amenities should be upgraded compared to other rooms. There were also issues with housekeeping—such as leaving a cleaning cloth on the desk after cleaning and not disposing of used coffee capsules. Additionally, despite leaving a note asking not to open the closet space, it was opened anyway. These actions raised concerns about hotel management standards. When passing by the front desk while leaving or returning to my room, there was no greeting like "Have a good day" or "Welcome back." Even when picking up my luggage after check-out, I simply received it with "Here you go," without any words of gratitude or farewell such as "Thank you" or "We look forward to your next visit." The customer service seemed oddly impersonal compared to before. While I chose this accommodation because of its convenient location this time, I regretted not staying at one of my usual hotels in Kumamoto instead. I hope the hotel reconsiders its service standards moving forward.

    Maintenance concerns

    The sink drainage is very poor, and water accumulates in the bowl just from washing my face. Please perform plumbing maintenance. Since it is a new Hotel, it seems fine for now, but deterioration might progress depending on maintenance. It is directly connected to Sakura Machi Kumamoto Bus Terminal, making it convenient and practical. It’s easy to shop for small items or get drinks.

    Good location

    The room and meals are average. It was nice to see Kumamoto Castle from the room. The location is convenient, so I will use it again when I go to Kumamoto.
