    Everything was perfect!

    After entering, you take off your shoes, and since the entire Accommodation is tatami, you can walk around barefoot, which was great for children. The lobby and Room were spotless down to every corner, and everything—from the facilities to the Onsen—was impeccably cleaned, making it very comfortable to stay. At night, we could enjoy free late-night soba, and after bathing there was complimentary ice cream and more. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options and was delicious. We were completely satisfied with this Accommodation! The staff were consistently pleasant and welcoming, so I’d recommend this Accommodation to everyone visiting Shimane. It’s an Accommodation that made us want to come back again. Thank you very much.

    I made a Reservation...

    I made a Reservation after learning that the entire property is tatami-matted from the lobby to the Rooms, thinking it would be ideal for my family member who has large feet and always struggles because Hotel slippers never fit. Being able to spend time anywhere in the building without wearing shoes made our stay very comfortable. We stayed in a triple Room, and we appreciated that the third bed was also sturdy. The in-room bath was separate from the toilet, which felt reassuring for times when we might not be able to use the public bath. This time we used the large Onsen bath, and I was happy with all the thoughtful details—privacy screens that make it hard to see into the washing area, ReFa showerheads, Nanoe hair dryers, and easy-to-use body-wash towels. A couple of minor points: there was a slightly slippery spot between the washing area and the main bath, and if the on-site mechanical parking fills up, partner parking is quite far away—so I should have known in advance that arriving early helps secure a space in the mechanical lot. Although it’s a large Hotel, we didn’t hear voices from neighboring Rooms at all, and both check-in and check-out were very smooth. Overall, considering it as a step up from a Business Hotel, I felt it offered excellent value for money. Next time I’d like to stay at another Nono location in a different area. Thank you very much.

    One small disappointment.

    I often stay at Dormy Inn properties. They are clean, the food is delicious, and the Facilities and amenities are well maintained. The Onsen was also very relaxing. This was my first time staying at an Accommodation where you don’t even wear slippers indoors, and it was very comfortable (though it might not suit people who are sensitive about cleanliness). However, I wondered about allowing guests to roll their suitcases through the building even though outdoor shoes aren’t allowed—aren’t suitcase wheels dirty?

    Comfortable Accommodation for a Pleasant Stay

    The entire accommodation features tatami flooring, providing a very comfortable atmosphere. The room is compact yet equipped with all necessary amenities. The large public bath includes a sauna and an open-air bath, offering relaxation. The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of dishes to enjoy. The hotel staff provides courteous and impeccable service. The accommodation fee is also reasonable. A hotel worth staying at again.

    Matsue Nono is my favorite accommodation, and I have stayed there many times. Recently, I have been concerned about the BGM. When I first heard it in the onsen, I thought it was gentle and soothing music. However, lately, I've started to notice that the same tone and resonance continue without pause. As someone who is sensitive to music due to frequent exposure in daily life (though this may not bother others), I find the repetitive tones somewhat stressful. Moreover, it's not just limited to the bath area; hearing the same music in the breakfast venue as well feels a bit overwhelming. (The other day, I felt relieved when listening to different music near the vending machine or microwave space.) Despite this minor concern, I truly love this accommodation and wanted to share my thoughts. I'm looking forward to staying again!

    Sure to visit again!

    Nono is truly wonderful. The breakfast buffet was very delicious. The public bath had slightly hot yuzu-infused water, which was very relaxing. It was a bit disappointing that the in-room TV wasn't connected to the internet, but I had a comfortable stay and would love to visit again.

    A Satisfying Trip to Matsue

    You can move around the facility without footwear, offering the best of both a Hotel and a Ryokan. The breakfast had a wide variety of dishes, and I ended up eating too much. The large public bath helped relieve my fatigue, making it a very satisfying trip.

    The breakfast is luxurious.

    In the morning, enjoy freshly fried tempura, crab chawanmushi available only during Kamiarizuki, Izumo soba, seafood rice bowl, zenzai, and more. The variety is extensive and the flavors are satisfying. The Facility is clean and highly recommended.

    Stayed here after visiting Izumo Taisha. The all-tatami flooring was great as there was no need for slippers. The room was spacious and clean. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay. However, one issue was that the air conditioner had an odor when turned on, so I kept the window open for a while. I would love to stay here again when visiting Shimane.

    Relaxing Onsen and Delicious Breakfast

    Stayed for two nights and three days over the weekend. The breakfast venue was crowded at times, but the Onsen was rarely busy and very comfortable to use. The outdoor bath felt almost like a private experience. The massage chairs and post-bath ice cream were excellent. Breakfast offered a variety of options, including seafood bowls, Izumo soba, tempura, and small dishes, making it enjoyable to choose from. The large Shine Muscat grapes were also delicious. However, one downside was that the overflow area of the sink in the Room was dirty, which was disappointing.

    Everything was very satisfying.

    I used this accommodation to visit Izumo Taisha. Honestly, I was impressed to receive such great service at this price range. Thoughtful touches were evident throughout, making my stay completely hassle-free. The Room was spacious, and I invited a friend to stay with me. They were very pleased, which made me happy as well.

    The entire Hotel had a traditional Japanese atmosphere, creating a charming ambiance. The large public bath was pleasant and clean! It would have been nice if the free ice cream after bathing was available until the same time as the drinks... The Room was also great. I regret not enjoying the Hotel more. Haha

    I was deeply disappointed as I had high expectations for Nono.

    I have always had a good impression of the Dormy Inn chain, so I chose this accommodation with confidence. I was especially looking forward to my stay as I received exceptionally courteous service at another "Nono" location just two weeks ago. However, I was deeply disappointed by the service during check-in. The distance from the entrance to the front desk is quite far, and since it is a shoe-free facility, it was unclear where to take off our shoes, leaving us standing there for some time. Despite there being no other guests around and four staff members at the front desk along with one on the floor, not a single person greeted us with "Welcome." Eventually, we were guided by a floor staff member who also did not offer any welcoming words. Additionally, during check-in procedures, someone suddenly spoke from behind saying, "Your luggage has arrived; I've placed it behind you," and casually set it on a bench. While I don’t mind that they didn’t carry our luggage for us, their tone and lack of consideration left me bewildered. This did not feel like an attitude befitting welcoming guests and significantly worsened my impression. While the facility itself was clean and comfortable, the stark contrast in service compared to other "Nono" locations makes me certain that I will not choose this hotel again in the future.

    Consistently satisfying.

    I always stay at Accommodation No Oyo when visiting my destination. The tatami corridors provide a relaxing, home-like atmosphere, and above all, the facilities are well-designed for a comfortable stay. The highlight is the breakfast buffet, which avoids the typical low-cost feel of buffets; each dish is carefully prepared with a wide variety to choose from, and it’s always delicious. I look forward to continuing to use this accommodation regularly.

    As rumored?!

    For this trip to Shimane, I was torn between staying at Onyado Nono Matsue and Oyado Tsukiyo no Usagi Izumo, but I'm glad I chose Onyado Nono. At first, I thought taking off my shoes at the entrance would be inconvenient, but once inside barefoot, it felt completely comfortable. The midnight soba service and breakfast buffet were especially as good as their reputation suggested.

    The facility is clea...

    The facility is clean, but after removing shoes upon entry, guests spend time inside barefoot or in socks. However, suitcases brought by guests are rolled on the same tatami mats and hallways, which felt unhygienic and uncomfortable. It was unpleasant to walk barefoot or in socks on the same surfaces where suitcase wheels—exposed to unknown outdoor dirt—had been. It would have been appreciated if trolleys were provided for suitcases or some other measures were taken.

    I stayed with my mot...

    I stayed with my mother, who has difficulty walking. Unfortunately, she slipped and fell in the public bath's washing area, injuring her knee and causing it to bleed. When I contacted the front desk, they kindly brought disinfectant and bandages, which was very helpful. While there were no bath towels provided in the public bath area, I think having smaller towels available would be a good idea. For dinner, we went to an outside restaurant but had trouble finding a taxi at our reservation time. This caused significant inconvenience as no taxi arrangement was made for us. Since I was with my mother who has mobility issues, it was particularly challenging. It would be great if there were a shuttle service from the accommodation every 30 minutes or so during dinner hours to assist guests in such situations.

    It was a very good Hotel!

    It was a very windy day, but the staff's courteous service made for a pleasant hotel stay. Room issues were resolved promptly, and I am grateful for their assistance. I will stay again next time!

    The breakfast is luxurious.

    The entire facility is tatami-floored, and no shoes are required—such a unique experience! Overall, it was very comfortable. The highlight was the luxurious breakfast, featuring fresh and delicious seafood bowls in the morning. There were also many other options like Izumo soba, and I ended up eating too much. Would love to stay here again!

    Nono's Sense of Comfort

    Dormy Inn hotels have a consistent design. This location is new, clean, and comfortable. From the station, a taxi ride costs around 1,000 yen if you have luggage. By bus, get off at Ohashi Kitazume for easy access. Two points of concern: 1. Some guests wear disposable slippers, and while there is a "disposable slipper trash bin" at the entrance, disposable slippers are not provided in the room by default. When I asked about it, they were available at the front desk. It would be more convenient if they were placed in the room from the start. 2. At breakfast, getting hot water for tea takes time because it's connected to the coffee machine. A separate thermos or dispenser for hot water would save time and improve efficiency. This hotel feels similar to Nono Kyoto but has an advantage with its car drop-off area and space for large buses right in front of the hotel entrance. The Onsen is also used by international guests who sometimes behave unexpectedly despite various notices being posted—something I shared with a staff member at reception. Laundry service was available as well, making my stay very comfortable overall!

    Spacious and Comfortable Room

    This was the first Hotel where I could walk barefoot inside. Walking barefoot felt very comfortable. The Room was also more than spacious enough. Next time, I would like to book a Multiple Night Stay.

    Hospitality at its finest...

    I stayed at the accommodation on my birthday as part of a personal celebration. As I work in the service industry myself, I had some expectations, but I was slightly disappointed that there were no celebratory words during check-in or check-out. However, apart from that, it is a very satisfying hotel—beyond satisfaction, it was truly excellent. The breakfast was especially delicious.

    Late-night ramen is delightful.

    As rumored, the night soba was simple yet delicious. However, breakfast did not meet expectations; the grilled fish had many small bones, and there was only one coffee machine, leading to long lines, which was a bit disappointing. Perhaps it’s a unique feature of this accommodation, but the rule of no slippers and only socks indoors felt overly unconventional and somewhat uncomfortable. It felt more like a luxurious guesthouse than a hotel.

    The best of both Business Hotel and Ryokan

    The smoothness of check-in and the convenience of the room are sufficient advantages as a Business Hotel, while the rooftop Onsen, tatami flooring throughout the Property, and Japanese-style Room offer the charm of a Ryokan, making it truly the best of both worlds. Personally, I was impressed by the high-end models of hair dryers like Panasonic and Refa in the bath area. Since it is primarily a Business Hotel and reasonably priced, one might not be able to demand too much luxury. However, around 9 PM when the bath gets crowded, both the atmosphere in and after bathing becomes hectic. It was disappointing that all three massage chairs were constantly in use. There were people using smartphones openly in the changing room and foreigners bathing with towels wrapped around them; I did caution someone about smartphone use as it seemed necessary. The clientele and atmosphere might be an inevitable trade-off for affordability. Visiting during less busy weekday hours might be ideal for relaxation. Nevertheless, overall it was a very satisfying stay. It's a Property I'd like to stay at again when revisiting this area.
