    A Calm Setting and Peaceful Time

    I was hesitant because I was sightseeing in Kyoto by car and worried about parking, but the staff kindly guided me to nearby parking lots over the phone, which I really appreciated. The Accommodation is in a quiet area, so I felt at ease during my stay. I would definitely like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

    I love the quiet Shin-Sawaragi-cho Street.

    I often stay here when visiting Kyoto for personal trips. I like the quiet setting away from the downtown area. Shin-Sawaragi Street runs north–south toward the Imperial Palace. Some old wooden houses still remain, and over the past few years I’ve been coming here, more small places such as stand bars have opened along the street and side lanes. With an 11:00 check-out, and since it was a hot season, I was able to relax in my Room. I think I’ll stay here again next time.

    It is a good Hotel.

    I think this is a very simple, clean, and pleasant Hotel with friendly staff. It is especially quiet at night, so you can sleep well. There are many famous restaurants and convenience stores nearby, which made my stay very enjoyable. I would like to stay here again.

    Full-length mirror available! If you need to wear a kimono, you can feel at ease with a full-length mirror. The hospitality was outstanding!! When I ran into a small issue and spoke with the front desk, they kindly helped me. Thank you.

    A stylish Business Hotel in a great location

    The location was great—close to Kyoto City Hall and Hotel Okura Kyoto, and within walking distance of the Kamo River for morning and evening strolls. The Facility is a Business Hotel, with a stylish exterior accented with wood. It seemed that breakfast was available on the first floor. I didn’t try it, but it was 700 yen, so I wish I had ordered it. Overall, I was satisfied as a Business Hotel, but the room was extremely cold at night—I thought I might catch a cold. Even with the air conditioner set to 28°C, cold air flowed in near the window side of the bed. I wondered if it was coming from the vent next to the window, so I covered it with a bath towel, but it was still cold. It felt like chilly outside air was whistling in through the window. Also, since the curtains were quite basic, I think thicker curtains would help at least. I’m sensitive to cold so it may be unavoidable, but even using cold-weather items didn’t help much. That part was disappointing. Other than that, everything was good.

    You might discover a hidden gem for dining.

    The key card didn’t work properly, so I couldn’t get in at first. Since there is no contracted parking, be mindful of parking fees. There are some hidden-gem dining spots scattered around Kyoto, so it was a nice area. Otherwise, it was average.

    I stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days over the year-end holidays. This was my first stay at this Hotel since last summer. I was thrilled that you prepared the same room as last time! The location is excellent. It’s between Teramachi Street and Kawaramachi Street, so there is a lot of traffic, but the area around the Hotel is extremely quiet and calm. As with last year, from check-in to check-out, all staff were kind and courteous. Both the Hotel and the room were clean. Everything I needed was provided, making for a very comfortable stay. When I visit Kyoto again, I would love to stay here again. Thank you very much.

    A quiet neighborhood scented with the aroma of tea

    This is my second stay. The Accommodation faces a narrow lane between Kawaramachi Street and Teramachi Street. In the morning, the aroma of roasted tea from Ippodo’s tea shop on Teramachi drifts through the neighborhood—it's an area I really love. The Room is compact but has everything you need. It’s close to the Tozai Subway Line, and buses are convenient as it’s near Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae bus stop, making it easy for exploring on foot. After browsing antique shops along Marutamachi Street and Teramachi, I like to warm up at my regular soba restaurant. The building is quiet as well, and whenever I come to Kyoto, this Accommodation is the first place I check for availability.

    The cleaning is excellent.

    I stayed for four nights. The location was excellent, the interior felt new, and everything was very clean. The bathroom cleaning in particular was outstanding. Lately, even at decent accommodations, the bathtub is sometimes not fully cleaned, so I occasionally wash it myself just to be safe—but here it was perfect. It felt like they pay proper wages for housekeeping and hire reliable Japanese staff. The front desk staff were also very polite and professional.

    Great value for money

    First time staying here. Access: Conveniently located near Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae Station on the Tozai Subway Line. Murakami Kaishindo and Ippodo are also nearby. Exterior: Fairly clean. Front desk: Small, which made me a little uneasy at first. Room: Spacious enough, neat and clean. The bathroom is a unit bath but roomy. I was glad an air purifier/humidifier was already installed. It’s hard to believe you can get No Meals Included in the 7,000-yen range these days. Very satisfied overall.

    A quiet Accommodation in a peaceful neighborhood

    I’ve been staying here as my regular Accommodation for years. It’s perfect for solo travel. The size, the Room amenities, and the attention to detail really stand out. The female staff member is also refined and kind. Outside, Yamaya is nearby, and there’s a convenience store as well as a bakery and a cake shop. However, when I checked the price for next year’s cherry blossom season, it was 50% higher... That’s a problem—what should I do?

    Hidden Gem in Kyoto

    Easily accessible from the subway station, and there are several convenience stores and bakeries around Tassel Inn, making it very convenient. Despite that, the area is quiet; the Room was clean, the bed was spacious, and I had a very comfortable stay. The slightly older gentleman at reception—perhaps the manager—was very kind, which I truly appreciated. Thank you very much. When I visit Kyoto again, I would like to stay here again.

    Very good Hotel

    Compact but conveniently located near the station and bus stop, with excellent customer service. The Room was clean and comfortable. The complimentary mineral water was a nice touch. The fresh salad breakfast was satisfying and enjoyable. I would love to stay at this Hotel again if I have the chance.

    The accommodation was very simple and minimalistic, which I appreciated. The breakfast was perfect for me as I don't eat much in the morning, and I especially enjoyed the salad breakfast.     Although it was a one-night stay for one person, I arrived early on the day and wanted to visit some places. When I asked if they could hold my luggage, they kindly agreed and even placed it in my Room by the time I returned to the Hotel in the evening.     Convenient location!

    The hotel was quietly located in a peaceful alley. Although there is a large street nearby, the area around the hotel is quiet, and the rooms felt highly soundproof. The room layout was also user-friendly, making my stay very comfortable. Karasuma Oike Station is within walking distance, providing easy access to both the Tozai Line and Karasuma Line, which makes it very convenient for sightseeing. Personally, I would appreciate having a shower cap as part of the amenities! I would love to stay at this hotel again. Thank you!

    Great location, close to bus stops and subway stations. A 7-11 is located at the corner. Walking distance to Teramachi Street, Takasegawa restaurant area, Shinkyogoku, and the Gion-Shijo Kawaramachi shopping district. Also very near Kamogawa River. The hotel is quiet and comfortable, with friendly and polite front desk staff who can communicate in both English and Japanese. They provided thoughtful assistance during our stay—thank you very much! On the first floor, there are various amenities available for self-service as well as coin-operated washing machines and dryers. We had a wonderful few days here. We will definitely return on our next visit to Kyoto!

    I used it for work. It was a compact Hotel with no unnecessary frills, but perhaps because it had been recently renovated, it was very clean and pleasant. The exterior had a strong Kyoto feel, which seemed likely to please foreign visitors. The front desk staff had a very homey atmosphere. While many Hotels in Kyoto are becoming increasingly expensive, this was a cost-effective Hotel.

The location is close to Teramachi Shopping Street, with delicious cake shops and bakeries nearby, as well as cafes and the main store of the famous tea shop Ippodo, which also has a branch in Marunouchi, Tokyo, where you can enjoy tea on-site.     A quiet town with the scent of tea

    Located on Sawaragi Street, nestled between Kawaramachi Street and Teramachi Street. During this stay, I learned how to read "Sawaragi." It's a quiet street lined with townhouses and Buddhist altar shops. The aroma of tea roasting drifts through the town, perhaps from Ippodo on Teramachi Street. The compact design is necessary and sufficient. For a Multiple Night Stay of two days, there's no cleaning, so it's comfortable. As is often the case with a Business Hotel, the step between the washroom and bedroom can be dangerous if you're not careful, so I had to reduce the number of stars for the Facility. Other than that, I am satisfied. I like the Kawaramachi Marutamachi area, so I will use it again.
