  From Nagoya toward Fukuoka

  For guests visiting Fukuoka after staying in Nagoya: “It’s different from Nagoya!” I didn’t have time to read the Reviews in advance, but I found others with almost the same opinion and completely agree. It’s hard to call it a book Hotel; a cafe Hotel is a better description. - Atmosphere: Lively even at night and convenient access around town in Fukuoka / Green park views in Nagoya - Books: About 95% are Japanese paperbacks in Fukuoka / A wide range of genres in Nagoya - Cafe lounge: Many cafe-only visitors, and the bookshelves feel mostly decorative. With sofas placed right up against them, there isn’t really space to enjoy browsing books in Fukuoka / Mainly for guests, with Japanese and English hardcovers and an area where you can enjoy choosing books in Nagoya Breakfast bread: Only one local option (mentaiko) in Fukuoka / Multiple options in Nagoya (miso katsu, an-butter, etc.)

  I had a wonderful st...

  I had a wonderful stay at LAMP LIGHT BOOKS HOTEL Nagoya, so I chose this Hotel in Fukuoka as well. In conclusion, it is very different from the one in Nagoya. 1. Location 　　Nagoya: In an office district, with a park right in front; quiet atmosphere. 　　Fukuoka: In a dining and nightlife area; the street is full of drunk people, and it stays extremely noisy not only late at night but even until dawn. 2. Attached café 　　Nagoya: Relaxed, with easy access to the bookshelves. 　　Fukuoka: There is very little space between the café chairs and the bookshelves, so you have to be considerate of café guests while choosing books. 3. Type of guests 　　Nagoya: Most people read quietly. 　　Fukuoka: Many people are working like at Starbucks or chatting. I felt it is not suitable for those who want to stay at the Hotel and enjoy reading quietly.

  Thank you very much for staying at Lamplight Books Hotel Fukuoka, and for choosing our Hotel again following your stay at Lamplight Books Hotel Nagoya. However, we sincerely apologize that despite your kind choice, we were unable to provide a stay that met your expectations and caused you disappointment. Our Hotel is located in the Tenjin/Daimyo area. While it is conveniently situated for sightseeing and dining, the surrounding atmosphere and café usage conditions differ from those of our Nagoya location.   Last-minute Reservation on the Same Day

  Booked accommodation at the last minute (grateful it was available even after 9 PM). Booked through IKYU, and the 10% point rate discount was very helpful. Breakfast included only one piece of bread, which felt insufficient but was enjoyed nonetheless. The hotel itself matched youthful sensibilities and seemed to be very well-received.

  The quality of the amenities is very low, which significantly decreases satisfaction. The design of the hardware is lovely, but it seemed that attention to detail on the software side was lacking.
