Disappointed with the breakfast ticket attendant and front desk service.
The next morning, there was no one at the front desk when I went to check out. I rang the bell, but no one came promptly, so I lost patience, left my room key on the table, and checked out without speaking to anyone. I needed to get to work and did not have time to wait, so having no one at the front desk was extremely inconvenient! If the desk cannot be staffed at all times, I would prefer a self-service checkout system like those at Manten Hotel or Henn na Hotel. It is much easier. At Manten Hotel, you simply drop your room key into a box to check out, with no need to speak to staff. This kind of checkout is becoming increasingly common. Rather than keeping guests waiting at the front desk and leaving them frustrated, I wish this hotel would introduce self-service checkout like other business hotels. I deducted one star this time because checkout was stressful. Everything else was satisfactory, including the clean facilities and delicious breakfast, so it was disappointing to end my stay feeling frustrated. Also, when the staff member collecting breakfast vouchers changed from a man to a woman, she asked, “Have you handed in your breakfast voucher?” even though I had already given it to him. I found that very rude! A proper handover, or having the same person collect the vouchers, would avoid the need to ask. She only asked me, which made me feel singled out and suspected of not handing in my voucher. I had already given it to the male staff member! Please make sure staff communicate properly during handovers!

A kind stranger from abroad & a helpful female receptionist
I stayed for one night on the last day of the Silver Week holidays, choosing a room assigned at check-in. This was my first stay at the location by the station’s west exit. The hotel is very new and close to the station, with a large TV, a spacious desk, and an air purifier that I used to remove dust and pollen. The all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet featured Kanazawa curry, tuna sashimi, unlimited grated yam, and plenty of healthy options such as seasoned burdock root and broccoli. It was far better than the famous upscale hotels nearby that charge higher rates. With the room-assigned-at-check-in plan, I was amazed to be given a triple room on the top floor—the 12th—with views of Kanazawa’s city lights! I was thrilled by my good luck. Getting such a spacious, suite-like room at such a low rate felt like winning the lottery. The room was spotless, and the wonderfully soft, pressure-relieving Simmons bed helped me sleep soundly and recover from my travels. Every front desk staff member greeted me warmly with a smile, making me think, “Booking this hotel was absolutely the right choice!” The parking lot directly behind the hotel costs just ¥500 for up to 24 hours. Everything exceeded my expectations in the nicest way. Smile Hotel truly lives up to its name! After breakfast and a hot coffee, I went to return my room key, still delighted with my stay. Then came another surprise: “A guest visiting from overseas who stayed here last night found your driver’s license in the parking lot beside the hotel and handed it in.” I had spent the whole time completely unaware that I had dropped my license outside. What a kind visitor! I wanted to thank them, but with so many international guests staying there, I had no way of knowing who it was… I will always remember the kind smile of the lovely woman at the front desk who returned my lost license just as I was leaving. I will definitely book this hotel again the next time I visit Kanazawa. Thank you so much for your kindness and warm smiles! It was a wonderfully relaxing way to end my Silver Week trip.

Just a little on rainy days.
I used this Hotel as a base for sightseeing in Shirakawa-go and Kanazawa. The location is a little far from the station, but still within walking distance; however, on rainy days there is little shelter around the Hotel, so you will need an umbrella. The Room and amenities were typical of a business Hotel, and I had no particular complaints. Meals were buffet-style with a wide variety: on the first day I enjoyed it as a Japanese-style tuna rice bowl, and on the second day I tried katsu curry using the staff’s recommended way of eating it. They also stored my luggage before check-in, so overall I was satisfied.

Second time
This is my second stay thanks to the convenient location near the station and great value for money. I had another comfortable stay this time as well. There are many Hotels around the station, but the west side has wider roads and plenty of parking, so it’s especially recommended for guests traveling by car.

Thanks to the Hotel’s kindness, we were able to stay in a spacious Room. They also stored our luggage, and the staff were very kind. Even though it was extremely hot, we had a comfortable stay. We would like to use this Hotel again. Thank you!

Great value for money.
I recently started using Kanazawa as a base for golf and needed an overnight stay, so this was my first time here. It’s incredibly convenient near the station, yet offers great value for the price and quality. Business Hotels in Kanazawa are really high standard. There’s no on-site parking, but there are plenty of lots right in front and nearby, so I don’t think they’ll be full. There’s also a convenience store close by, so you can pick up anything you need while heading out for dinner. Being near the station means you won’t have trouble finding places to eat. However, I was surprised how early last orders are at the buildings right by the station—and they were fairly crowded—so I recommend restaurants a little farther out (it was Saturday). The Room is compact and comfortable. Amenities are self-serve at check-in. The shampoo and similar items are good quality like most modern Business Hotels, so there’s no need to bring your own, but do bring basic skincare products. All in all, I’ve already made another Reservation.

Close to Kanazawa Station with excellent breakfast.
This was my second stay. It was raining on the day, but you can reach the Hotel almost without getting wet by passing through the park building in front of Kanazawa Station. The front desk staff welcomed me warmly, and the Facility is new and clean. Amenities, including slippers, are available to take from the lobby. Breakfast is served buffet-style. The all-you-can-eat tuna slices and scraps are a delightful service. Additionally, Kanazawa curry comes with toppings like tonkatsu, allowing you to customize your meal as you like. Other standard dishes such as kinpira (stir-fried burdock), salad, and grilled fish were also delicious. Compared to the east exit area, this location feels less developed but offers more affordable accommodation options. Being close to the station makes it a recommended Hotel for a budget-friendly stay in Kanazawa!

I stayed at the accommodation for the first time in about a year. The accommodation fee was reasonably priced, it is conveniently located near Kanazawa Station, and the breakfast was delicious! It would be helpful if body towels were provided. I will stay again if I have the chance.

Breakfast is disappointing.
Breakfast was included. I entered the restaurant at 8:30 AM since it closes at 10:00 AM. Many items were out of stock, the coffee machine was broken and unavailable, there was only one tea bag left, and desserts were sold out. Even though I didn’t arrive at the last minute, paying for breakfast only to find items unavailable seems unreasonable. If I had known this would happen, I wouldn’t have opted for breakfast. Please refund the breakfast fee.
