    Compact and clean

    This Hotel is directly connected to Iyotetsu Matsuyama-shi Station, which was convenient since I planned to take an express bus the day after my stay. The Room and the large public bath were both very clean and well maintained. I also enjoyed the breakfast, which included local specialties (Uwajima-style sea bream rice and five kinds of mandarin orange juice). Since I enjoyed Onsen at Dogo Onsen Honkan, I only needed a place to stay and a good breakfast, so I was very satisfied and felt it offered great value for money.

    Clean and comfortable.

    (For context, I’m a bit of a neat freak.) Everything was spotless, and I had a very comfortable stay. Check-in, picking up the luggage I had left in advance—everything went smoothly. The Room is gently “shoes-off,” so you can relax with peace of mind. They also provide indoor slippers for going to the large public bath, which is very thoughtful—you don’t have to head there in loungewear and dress shoes. It’s easy to find since it’s at the starting point for trams and buses, and with Takashimaya nearby, you won’t have trouble finding souvenirs. I highly recommend it to anyone staying in Matsuyama. *Note: There is no bathtub in the Room. If you want to soak in hot water, you’ll need to use the large public bath, so it may not be ideal for those who prefer a long soak in their own Room.*

    I was satisfied with the Room and the large public bath.

    The Room was very clean. The large public bath also had plenty of washing stations, so I was able to relax. I didn’t dine at the Hotel because I wanted to eat at nearby cafés. Parking is available for 1,000 yen per night, but if you leave once, you need a staff member to open it for you again, which was a bit inconvenient.

    Glad we stayed here.

    It was a Hotel that exceeded my expectations. There was thoughtful attention to detail, such as space to store suitcases under the bed, and even though Hotels can feel impersonal, Ref felt warm and welcoming.

    Hotel adjacent to Matsuyama City Station

    A Hotel located next to Iyotetsu Matsuyama City Station. It seems to be a new Hotel, and the Rooms are clean and the Facility is also new. The style is a modern Business Hotel, with a large public bath, and breakfast is served buffet-style with local ingredients available. Amenities can be picked up next to the front desk on the 2nd floor at check-in. There is no bottled water in the Room, but drinks are available on the front desk floor. There also seem to be many tourists from China and South Korea. One point I’d like to see improved: At breakfast, staff strictly assign tables by party size (solo / 1–2 people / 3+ people). Since most guests are solo or couples, everyone ends up seated only at the window-side solo seats or the wall-side two-person tables, while the larger central tables for groups of three or more go unused—leaving an oddly empty space in the middle of the dining area. It was disappointing to have an unsettled breakfast at a small table that barely fit a tray while worrying about neighboring guests.

    A newly built and clean facility with a great location

    The Hotel has a large number of rooms, but I was surprised by the cramped feeling upon arriving at the lobby via the elevator. There are only two elevators, and one happened to be under maintenance, so I had to wait for quite some time. The front desk staff seemed brisk and lacked a sense of courtesy. Additionally, there were not enough restrooms on the front desk floor. The Room was spacious with tatami flooring and very clean as it was new. The Onsen had only one bath available, and the outdoor bath was out of service. Even though I aimed for less crowded hours, it was still busy. Above all, there weren’t enough hair dryers provided; this does not match the size of such a large Hotel or its capacity. However, due to its excellent location, I think I would stay here again.

    Highly Satisfied

    We stayed in a Deluxe Twin Room as we were traveling with a baby, and the room where shoes are removed was perfect for our crawling child. The accommodation was clean, the service was excellent, and all staff members were friendly. In particular, the young male staff member in charge of breakfast smiled at our baby several times and kindly handled it with a smile when we accidentally spilled orange juice on the floor. The complimentary orange soft-serve ice cream was delicious, and we were very satisfied with breakfast as well. We would love to stay again!

    A modern and beautiful Hotel

    I stayed here for sightseeing. I arrived by rental car, but due to construction near the station, it was harder than expected to find parking, which caused some confusion. It would have been better to confirm the parking location beforehand. The service is streamlined, so there was only about a one-minute interaction during check-in. Other than that, just during breakfast. The guests seemed to be a mix of international and domestic visitors. As mentioned in reviews, breakfast had a wide variety of dishes featuring local ingredients from Matsuyama and was both enjoyable and delicious. The soft-serve ice cream at night was also tasty. The large public bath was spacious and impressive for a business hotel. My room had both tatami flooring and beds, providing comfort as well. However, when going to sleep at night, there was an intermittent loud noise that made it slightly difficult to fall asleep comfortably. Later on, I realized it might have been the sound of the boiler from the large public bath on the third floor since my room was on the fourth floor. Additionally, being directly connected to the station means you can hear train noises—though this is understandable given its convenient location. If not for the boiler noise in my room at night, this accommodation would have been perfect!

    Driving can be stressful.

    I traveled by car this time and set the navigation system, but due to construction at the bus terminal in front of the station, the roads were confusing, and I almost ended up on a tram track. Additionally, since there is a tram line right in front of the Hotel, I couldn't park my car there and had to go across the tracks as directed. When I asked at the Hotel, they informed me that their contracted parking lot was across the tracks. I had to carry my luggage from there to the Hotel. Thankfully, it wasn't raining. Perhaps not many travelers use cars here? It would be helpful if clearer prior instructions were provided. The location is very convenient for those using trains or limousines as it's right next to the station. The Hotel itself was excellent with polite staff and clean Rooms that were more spacious than expected. Breakfast included options like sea bream rice porridge and a tangerine juice tasting selection—all delicious! Although I wanted to try out their large public bath, I was concerned about cleanliness due to many inbound Asian tourists using it; however, my husband went late at night and said it was quite good then.

    The breakfast is very delicious, featuring plenty of local ingredients and a wide variety. The bath was also great, making it a nice place to relax and spend time at the Hotel. The parking lot was a bit difficult to find.

    I stayed during my trip to Matsuyama. The staff's attentiveness and cheerful demeanor at the breakfast venue were truly outstanding, and the creative menu exceeded expectations for this class, making it highly enjoyable. The drink bar and evening soft-serve ice cream service were also greatly appreciated. If I may point out one thing, the Room lacked a security box, requiring valuables to be deposited at the front desk. Notices about theft prevention in the changing area caught my attention, so I hope this can be considered during future renovations. Even if not in individual Rooms, placing shared lockers like those found in public bathhouses near the front desk or large baths could be a good alternative. Overall, it was a wonderful Hotel that left a very positive impression. Thank you for your hospitality!

    The facility was new...

    The facility was new and clean. Breakfast featured a variety of local ingredients. The checkout time at 11:00 AM was convenient, especially for business use. However, there seemed to be a limited number of elevators, resulting in long waiting times each time I used them. With the front desk on the 2nd floor and the public bath on the 3rd floor, the wait for elevators made it inconvenient to use the public bath, so I ended up not using it during my stay. Late at night, a large insect appeared in my room. When I called the front desk, staff promptly brought insecticide and a plastic bag, which was very helpful. That said, I couldn't help but wonder why such insects were present on higher floors and why I had to deal with it myself... This left me feeling unsettled about my stay. There were no words of concern or apologies from staff the next morning either.

    Clean and satisfying

    Check-in and check-out were easy, the view from the Room was fantastic with sights of the tram and the illuminated Matsuyama Castle. The mandarin orange soft-serve ice cream was delightful, and breakfast was filled with local specialties and absolutely delicious.

    Great breakfast, excellent service, and convenient access—perfect in every way!

    I always stay at this accommodation when visiting Matsuyama. For breakfast, you can enjoy both Matsuyama and Uwajima-style tai-meshi (sea bream rice). The buri sashimi is rich like fatty tuna with no unpleasant smell, and it was also delicious. Additionally, you can try local specialties such as Matsuyama-age, jakoten, and a tasting of five types of citrus juice—all in one breakfast. Despite concerns about rising prices affecting quality, the food remains as excellent as ever. While the Japanese dishes and fish menu are impressive, the hotel's original mikan bread and Beni Madonna marmalade were also delightful. The large bath area includes a hot indoor bath, a lukewarm semi-open-air bath, and a mist sauna where you can stretch out your legs and relax to relieve fatigue. The welcome drink service and soft-serve ice cream were also great touches. The room was surprisingly spacious for its location near Matsuyama City Station, with wide beds that allowed for restful sleep. Overall, this hotel is impeccable. However, there are some downsides: the presence of many foreign guests sometimes leads to encountering individuals with poor manners (though this is not the hotel's fault), which can be disheartening; additionally, the higher price makes it less accessible for casual stays now—a bit disappointing in that regard.

    I thought I made a Reservation for 4 people, but...

    We stayed for one night as a family of four. When making the reservation, we booked for 3 adults and 1 upper-grade elementary school child, but at check-in at the hotel, we were told that breakfast was only for 3 people, and we had to pay extra for the child's breakfast. In the room, there were two beds and one set of futon. One was missing. We had no choice but to sleep with Child Sharing Existing Bedding. It was too cramped to sleep well. When I checked the Confirm Reservation screen, I noticed that the fee for the upper-grade elementary school child was not charged. Is an upper-grade elementary school child considered Child Sharing Existing Bedding? Perhaps this is more of an issue with the reservation site's specifications than with the hotel. Before that, the hotel staff's response at check-in was unfriendly, and even though it was our first time using it, the explanation for checking in with the machine was curt, and they seemed annoyed when explaining things like paying for the parking ticket at the affiliated parking lot, even though we didn't understand. Regarding the number of people, I wish they had confirmed the number of people at check-in. The front staff were all young women, but is that how customer service is? The room was clean, and it's a shame because the location in the center of Matsuyama was good.

    Very comfortable!

    I used it for the first time. The location was, of course, new and open, so it was clean and comfortable. In other old Hotels, I sometimes feel stressed about the number and location of outlets, but I didn't feel that at all. The Room was also stylish and had no unnecessary items. The staff were efficient and friendly. I also enjoyed using the large public bath. The breakfast included local dishes, so I could enjoy it twice during my sightseeing. It was very delicious. There was also soft serve ice cream as a welcome drink, which I thought was a great service for women and children. I definitely want to use it again when I go to Matsuyama.

    Excellent access, great service.

    The hotel is ideally located next to Iyo-Den Matsuyama Station, and the service was excellent. The large public bath was pleasant, and the soft serve ice cream service at night was fantastic! Above all, the breakfast buffet was exceptional. The variety of mandarin orange juices and the abundance of seafood were impressive. The Uwajima-style sea bream rice was luxurious. I highly recommend this place. Choosing to stay here for the first two nights of our trip was the right decision.

    Ehime Breakfast

    It feels like 80-90% of the guests are foreigners. There are hardly any Japanese people at meals or in the bath. Breakfast is full of Ehime specialties. Yawatahama Champon, Imabari Yakibuta Tamago Meshi, Matsuyama Tai Meshi, Uwajima Tai Meshi, etc. The fruit is mandarin oranges, and there is also mandarin orange juice available. The rice area (Tai Meshi and Yakibuta Tamago Meshi) tends to get crowded, causing congestion. It's difficult to get what you want. There is an issue with the flow. It's hard to get seconds without lining up again. There are a lot of manga, which is enjoyable.

    The breakfast was delicious!

    I stayed for the first time for two days. The room was clean, and the breakfast was very delicious. The tasting of Ehime mikan was very tasty and visually enjoyable. It boosted my motivation from the morning. However, I was concerned about the manners of inbound guests. On the second day, to avoid any unpleasant experiences, I made an effort to eat early in the morning and use the family bath.

    It was nice to relax in the private bath. The facilities were new and had a sense of cleanliness. The amenities were well-stocked, including cosmetics. The breakfast buffet was creatively arranged with a touch of Ehime, and I was satisfied.

    Breakfast where you can enjoy local cuisine

    The location is very convenient, being close to Matsuyama City Station and department stores. (The affiliated parking lot is also nearby.) I took off my shoes at the entrance and was able to spend a comfortable time in the clean room. There is also a table, and the size was not an issue. The breakfast offers local cuisine, and I particularly enjoyed the tai-meshi (rice cooked with sea bream) and miso soup. There are five types of orange juice, and it's fun to compare them. I recommend getting breakfast included. Not only the front desk but also the staff at the breakfast venue were pleasant, leaving a very bright impression. (The image color is orange.) Last time, I had a room with a view of Matsuyama Castle, but this time I didn't, which was the only disappointment. I will stay here again when I come to Matsuyama.＾＾
