The Perfect Place to Stay When Visiting Peace Park
Excellent access to the Peace Memorial Museum and the International Conference Center. Peace Boulevard is right in front, just a short walk away, so after breakfast I was able to stroll from the Atomic Bomb Dome through Peace Memorial Park. I’ll stay here again on my next business trip to Hiroshima.

The breakfast is delicious.
It was more spacious than a Business Hotel. It was inconvenient that even standard-sized cars could not fit in the Hotel parking lot, so we had to park in a nearby lot. Breakfast was delicious.

Would love to visit again.
The restaurant on the top floor offers a stunning view of Peace Park, making it an excellent location. Breakfast features a wide variety of local dishes, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The tofu, oyster miso, "gansu," and lemon jelly were particularly delicious. The staff were kind and guided me to a seat with an even better view during breakfast. The Room was quiet and comfortable. It was my first time in Hiroshima and my first solo trip in about 25 years, leaving me with wonderful memories.

Reservation the Day Before
I made a reservation the day before and used the service. Despite the sudden booking, my room was upgraded, and I was able to stay in a spacious room. Thank you very much. I would like to use this service again.

The air conditioning is disappointing.
Upon check-in, a loud "whooshing" sound was heard in the Room. Upon inquiry at the front desk, it was explained that this is due to 24-hour ventilation throughout the entire building, which cannot be turned off in individual rooms. Since I checked in after sunset and due to this ventilation system, the Room was cold. I tried increasing the temperature on the air conditioning, but it had no effect. There were no extra blankets provided either, so I remained cold throughout the night. The next morning, a notice at the front desk stated that "individual air conditioning is set to cooling mode for this season." This stay happened during a transitional period between spring and summer—a time of significant daily and seasonal temperature fluctuations when people perceive temperatures differently. Why is cooling mode used during such a season? If you plan to stay here during this time of year, please take care not to catch a cold!

A little surprising...
Last year in February, I stayed in the same type of room and was satisfied with the room overlooking the Peace Memorial Park and the breakfast, so I made a reservation again this time. I requested a high floor and mentioned in the comment section during the reservation that I needed a Blu-ray player for my work related to music. However, even one week before my stay, there was no response from the hotel. When I contacted the front desk, they confirmed that they had not responded to my request but seemed unfamiliar with what a Blu-ray player is. After explaining it multiple times and speaking to another staff member, they finally understood but informed me that there were no Blu-ray players available. Upon checking last year's February IKYU.com reservation details, I found my previous comment requesting "a high floor and a Blu-ray player if available." Although there was no Blu-ray player at that time either, I remembered watching DVDs in my room back then. When I asked for a DVD player this time as an alternative, they said none were available either. As a result, I had to bring my own equipment. Despite making similar comments both last year and this year about needing these devices for work purposes—and recalling watching DVDs previously—I felt dissatisfied with their lack of response or preparation compared to other hotels where such requests are usually addressed properly. The next day, while receiving an apology call from the manager regarding these issues (including their lack of communication), their explanation about not having any Blu-ray or DVD players remained unclear at best. Since reviewing music videos is essential for me during stays like these—and early communication could have allowed better preparation—I found it very disappointing overall. On another note: The room itself was on 13F as requested—a high floor offering great views overlooking Peace Memorial Park—but signs of aging within facilities were evident (e.g., black cracks on toilet surfaces; stray hairs left behind inside bathrooms). These details negatively impacted how comfortable things felt overall despite otherwise good accommodations. Breakfast remains one highlight here: Its variety includes seasonal specialties like fried oysters alongside local delicacies such as Gansu fish cakes paired w/ lemon-glazed treats & traditional Japanese dishes ranging across simmered vegetables + vinegared salads etc.—all delicious yet marred slightly by overcrowding preventing leisurely enjoyment throughout meals themselves. Lastly—this stay cost over 3k yen more than last year's identical booking setup which added further disappointment given everything else mentioned above!

A bit terrible...
First, the room number written on the paper given with the card key was not displayed in the room, and I couldn't find it for several minutes. It was labeled as the Crown Room, so wouldn't it have been better to just have the Crown Room without the room number? I was surprised that there was no shower curtain even though the bath and washroom were in the same space. I entered carefully, but the washroom was flooded. I laid down the used bath towel to deal with it. We were looking forward to it as a family because it was a spacious room, but it was like an old reception room with something like an old dining table and no sofa. The room wear was worn out and smelled even though it was washed. Although there were three of us staying, there were only two toothbrushes in the washroom, and we got them from the front desk, but there were two toothbrushes in the toilet located far away. The room layout was old-fashioned and full of mysteries. Perhaps for promotional photography, only the small room with two beds seemed to have been slightly renovated. There were also unusable outlets, and it was just difficult to use. No matter how spacious, it wasn't clean or convenient, and amenities were the type you take from the front desk like a budget hotel, with no coffee or bottled water provided in the room. It was a holiday, so the price being high was unavoidable, but over 80,000 yen for three people per night at a minimum level in the countryside is too expensive. I was too shocked to take photos. I only took a picture because my son sat at the mysterious president's desk-like thing. The only good points were that it was close to tourist spots and the food was reasonably tasty.

Convenient and cost-effective.
It was a last-minute stay, but the price was reasonable, and thank you for the kind assistance with parking and other needs. The room and amenities were convenient and satisfactory. The location is close to Peace Park, and I'm glad the café inside the hotel is open all the time. I would like to use it again.
