Relax and unwind at your own pace.
It was a Hotel in a peaceful location with views from the window of rice fields after planting. The room was functionally compact, and I was able to stay very comfortably. Thank you.

Please visit a convenience store in advance. Do not transfer towards Shirakawa from Takayama.
Stopped for a night to rest during the journey. The accommodation is new and clean, with comfortable bedding. However, it is located far from convenience stores, with the nearest one being several kilometers away at a highway service area. If coming from Takayama via the highway, reaching the hotel involves either driving 30 km further to an interchange or navigating dark mountain roads. Guests are advised to prepare necessities in advance by stopping at a convenience store beforehand. The room has only a shower; bedding is clean and beds are spacious, suitable for resting purposes. However, shampoo and body soap were nearly empty—guests should check upon arrival and request replacements if needed. While there’s no nearby convenience store, the on-site shop offers frozen meals; quality varies but pizza was notably good. Reception staff's Japanese proficiency is moderate (around 60% understandable). The hotel operates cashless payments at reception but lacks efficiency in some areas—for example, separate washing and drying functions in coin laundry machines. Overall, this stylish business-style accommodation may suit those prioritizing rest over location or amenities.

Comfortable beds for a good night's sleep.
For me, staying means sleeping and relaxing, so I would be concerned if the bedding was worn out or if there were any deficiencies in the room's amenities, but there were no issues here. I bring my own skincare products and shampoo, so I can't comment on their quality, but everything necessary is provided. On the first floor, light snacks and alcoholic beverages are available, and they also provide detailed explanations about nearby dining options. The bedding was soft with a comfortable bed, and the pillows were fluffy and great. I enjoyed a relaxing time at the Onsen facility right in front of the property.

It was a perfect Hotel!
This was my first stay at this accommodation. I stayed here to see the Shokawa Sakura, and this hotel was absolutely perfect in every way. Both the public areas and the room were clean, very simple, and yet the bed and linens were incredibly comfortable with a luxurious feel. Whether for business, sightseeing, solo travelers, couples, or families, I felt that this hotel would be an excellent choice for anyone. Although there is no bathtub in the room, there is a well-equipped shower with a chair for relaxation under warm water pressure. The lounge available 24 hours has large tables and sofas providing a spacious and relaxing atmosphere. Complimentary drinks including miso soup are available. While there is no restaurant on-site, minimal food items like frozen soups or pizzas can be purchased and heated in a microwave. There is also a roadside station right in front of the hotel where guests can enjoy discounted access to baths until 7:30 PM. About four minutes' walk from the hotel is a dining spot that also serves sushi along with set meals and à la carte dishes; both the owner and hostess were so welcoming that I’d love to visit again. The foreign male staff member at check-in provided warm and attentive service which left an excellent impression. Similarly, early next morning another foreign female staff member greeted me warmly with her smile. This accommodation embodies simplicity while achieving top-notch quality—a truly outstanding place to stay! Although there aren’t many reviews on IKYU.com yet, checking Google Maps will give you more insights about it. I look forward to visiting again during Shokawa Sakura season!
