    One night in a Singl...

    One night in a Single Room (No Meals Included). At check-in, a female front desk staff member asked me to register for an app. While I was struggling because scanning the QR code took time, she said, “You can check in without the app, you know?” But since she had told me to use the app, I was trying to install an app I didn’t even want. When I gave my name for check-in, she said, “For personal information protection, please enter it yourself.” I had already said my full name out loud. And in the end, all I had to enter was just my name. After I entered it, she only said, “Here is your Room key,” handed me something like a receipt and the key card. When I told her, “I left my luggage with you,” she disappeared into the back without confirming anything. After waiting a while, another female staff member spoke to me and I was able to get my luggage safely—but the first staff member never came back, so there was no explanation at all during check-in. After entering the Room and looking up information about the public bath area (large communal bath), it said a dedicated key was required—yet it hadn’t been given to me. It also seemed other guests received APA Curry at the front desk; I didn’t receive that either. Since she kept saying “app,” that’s what I wrote here—but it turned out to be just membership registration via a browser anyway, so I will cancel it. I tried going to the large communal bath after midnight and it was so crowded that even the entrance door wouldn’t close properly, so I gave up. When I tried again at 7:00 a.m., it was very empty and comfortable. There are lockers with keys in the changing area. There are also multiple coin laundry machines. The elevator requires you to hold your Room key over a reader on 1F before you can press any floor buttons. The room itself is clean, but there is quite a high step up into the bathroom/toilet area. Perhaps because you can use the large communal bath instead, the bathtub is extremely small. Amenities are provided in-room; it’s not one of those setups where you pick what you need from the lobby. The toothbrush felt sturdier than typical disposable ones. The refrigerator has an on/off switch and cooled normally. There is also a 500 ml bottle of water on the table with what appears to be printed with the company president’s face. The TV is wall-mounted and fairly large. The crowding status for women’s side of the large communal bath stayed as “Crowded” constantly, so it doesn’t seem truly real-time. In addition to cloth slippers for inside use, there were also heavy-duty slippers that seem intended for going to/from the large communal bath. If not for how things were handled at reception/front desk service issues , this would have been 4 stars overall—unfortunately not this time.

    Available for day use.

    Due to various circumstances, I used the Hotel for a day-use stay. This was my first visit. As redevelopment work is underway around Nagoya Station, it may be a good idea to check the map in advance for access from the station, but I arrived without much trouble. I used it to focus on getting work done. These days, fewer Hotels provide wired LAN, so having it available was helpful—wired connections tend to offer more stable speeds for reliable internet use. APA also has plenty of power outlets around the desk area, which was reassuring.

    This was my first time using the service.

    The lobby is dazzlingly bright with luxurious chandeliers, and the rooms, amenities, and baths are all excellent. I was very satisfied and would definitely like to stay again next time.

    Unchanging comfort

    I often use this hotel for day-use stays, and I always have a comfortable time—thank you. Next time, I think I’ll try the Onsen. Thank you for your hospitality.

    The Room was dry and uncomfortable.

    This was my first time staying here. The luggage storage service before check-in was very helpful. I was looking forward to the large public bath, but it was an artificial Onsen, lukewarm, and the open-air bath didn’t have a view of the sky. Perhaps due to bad timing, all the washing stations were occupied, so I left quickly. For breakfast, I enjoyed making and eating an an-butter roll, but everything else was just okay...

    Twin Room for One Night

    I stayed for one night for a workshop and chose this place because of the large public bath, which was very satisfying. The public bath had cleansing products available, which was helpful. The location near the station was very convenient, but if I had to mention one thing, it would be that there were no signs or directions visible when exiting from the E7 underground exit. It would be great if nearby Hotel names could be clearly indicated right after exiting. I had a comfortable stay.

    It was comfortable.

    It was my first time using APA Hotel in three years, and it provided a sense of reassurance as expected. When choosing a hotel, cleanliness is my top priority, and I was satisfied. The public bath was spacious enough, but the number of hairdryers and chairs in the changing area was limited, so you might have to wait depending on the timing. The location was convenient as it was close to Esca, an underground shopping street near the station. Esca had many restaurants serving Nagoya specialties, making it easy to transition smoothly from dining to returning to the hotel. The staff were very polite in answering our questions, allowing us to have a pleasant stay.

    Excellent hospitality

    November 14, 2025 From the moment I entered the entrance, the staff kindly explained everything, which was very pleasant. The Room was equipped with all the essentials and was perfect. The large public bath provided a relaxing soak that washed away my fatigue. Especially, the razor was of an exceptionally high grade compared to other places—truly satisfying. I would definitely choose APA Hotel again if I have another opportunity to stay.

    Hospitality

    The front desk staff's attitude was condescending, which made me feel uncomfortable. My friend who was with me felt the same, so I believe it wasn't just my impression. The system seems more modern compared to other Business Hotels, but it takes time to get used to. The lack of communication felt cold and left a bad impression.

    Conveniently located near Nagoya Station.

    I stayed at APA Hotel for the first time. It was conveniently located near Nagoya Station Shinkansen Exit, and I could store my suitcase both before check-in and after check-out. It was my first experience using a QR code to store luggage at a hotel. The accommodation also had a large public bath, which I used both at night and in the morning, enjoying it all to myself each time. Having cleansing products, lotion, and moisturizer available was very helpful. The breakfast included Nagoya-style dishes and was delicious. I also appreciated the newspapers placed near the elevator. I would love to stay here again if given the opportunity.

    Convenient for long-term stays

    Stayed for about 10 days until my accommodation was done due to relocation. Great access to the station, a wide variety of breakfast options including Nagoya specialties, spacious and comfortable with an open-air bath, and convenient amenities like laundry facilities and a microwave made the stay pleasant. However, there were some downsides: many inbound guests with poor bath usage manners (e.g., entering with slippers), laundry facilities being left dirty by other users, and when I forgot my amenities in the bathroom, they were discarded before I could retrieve them the next day. This aspect of staff response was slightly disappointing.

    I stayed at an APA Hotel in another city a long time ago, and my impression from that time has completely changed. The service was very speedy yet exceptionally kind where it mattered most. Above all, the Room was quiet and comfortable in terms of space, air conditioning, lighting, and various other aspects. I also appreciated the convenient system for easy extensions. I will definitely choose this Hotel again when visiting Nagoya next time.

    The bedding is comfortable.

    I have stayed at various business hotels, but often struggled to get good sleep due to overly soft mattresses or unsuitable pillows. However, this hotel had a mattress with just the right firmness, which was delightful. Highly recommended for those who prefer firmer beds.

    They kindly stored our luggage before check-in. Although there were unfamiliar QR codes, the front desk staff explained everything patiently. The Room was clean and spacious enough for No Meals Included. The hairdryer in the public bath was excellent, so I had high expectations for the one in the Room! Slightly disappointed, but it's really just a -0.5 point deduction. We thoroughly enjoyed our first trip to Nagoya. Thank you very much!

    About a 10-minute walk from the Shinkansen Taiko-guchi Exit.

    Luggage storage requires barcode scanning, so a smartphone is essential. Regarding the Room, it was disappointing to find hair left in the sink drain. The air purifier with a humidifier that I requested was prepared and very helpful. When I called in advance to confirm amenities, most responses were along the lines of "Please bring your own items." Since I wanted to minimize luggage for an exam, this response was slightly inconvenient. The breakfast area is a bit small, making it difficult to navigate during busy times. It would be great if some space adjustments could be made. Other than that, there wasn’t anything particularly concerning—neither outstanding nor unsatisfactory overall.

    Clean and comfortable!

    The room was not very spacious but sufficient for a business trip. More importantly, the TV remote and other amenities were clean. The large public bath was adequately sized and made for a comfortable stay. I would like to use this accommodation again if I have the chance.

    The bathtub in the guest room is deep (both positively and negatively).

    The bathtub in the guest room was deep, which I personally loved, but my accompanying parent found it too deep and had difficulty standing up. Initially, my parent did not have a favorable impression of this Hotel's brand image, but despite the issue with the bathtub depth, they were satisfied enough to want to stay again. As for meals, I believe the breakfast pricing is based on offering Nagoya cuisine as a highlight; however, some items were missing, so I rated it 3 stars.

    Comfortable stay

    Second day-use visit this year for work. The Room is clean and comfortable enough. There are plenty of outlets and USB ports, storage for carry-on cases under the bed to make effective use of space, and rollers on the chair legs, making it very convenient and user-friendly. When I got into bed tired, it was fluffy and comfortable. The staff's warm hospitality and the cleanliness of the water facilities were also impressive. I would like to use it again.

    Regarding the manners of Chinese people

    I stayed at your property on Friday, January 31st. The facility was very clean, and the room cleaning and restaurant meals were good. However, it was during the Chinese New Year, and there were quite a few Chinese tourists staying. In the women's bath, there were issues such as: ① wet towels scattered in the changing area after use, ② amenities, bath buckets, and chairs left scattered, ③ trash overflowing from the trash can and falling underneath, ④ all the paper cups for drinking water were stolen, making it impossible to drink water. It may not be right to single out Chinese people, but it felt like the trip was ruined. I am concerned that if the minimum manners are not communicated to Chinese or other overseas group guests at the front desk, the value of APA Hotel itself may decrease. This advice is given with hopes for your property's continued success. Please also convey my regards to the president.

    Unable to enter the large public bath.

    I received an electronic key card for the large public bath at check-in. Looking forward to relieving my travel fatigue, I headed to the large public bath, but no matter how many times I tried, the card wouldn't open the bathroom door. After several attempts, I was about to go to the front desk when someone came out from inside, and I asked them to let me in. In the end, my card didn't work. This was my first stay at APA Hotel, but it ended in disappointment. Please ensure that the keys given to guests are properly checked. It seems that APA Hotel is advancing in digitalization, such as with check-in, but crucial areas still require human checks. I hope these areas will be reconsidered.

    Close to the station, convenient and clean.

    It was nice being close to the station. The room was small, but the room's lighting was bright and it felt clean, which was good. The large public bath was also clean and nice, but the entire bathroom was cold, and the water was too lukewarm, making it hard to warm up. When returning to the room, the hallway after getting off the elevator was too cold, making me regret not using the bath in the room. The breakfast selection was ordinary, neither good nor bad. I think I will use it again when I come to Nagoya.

    It was very clean. Both the room and the large public bath were clean, and the breakfast restaurant was buffet style. Although there were some people with poor manners or who spilled things at the buffet, the restaurant staff were constantly wiping the tables, replenishing items, and organizing, so I had a pleasant breakfast. However, perhaps because there are few elevators for the number of guest rooms, it was difficult to get an elevator at checkout time, so I recommend checking out at a different time.
