    A perfectly normal, straightforward Hotel

    This was my first stay here while sightseeing with friends. The ninjas, samurai, butlers, etc. projected at the front desk react during the check-in process, which is fun, but otherwise it’s a perfectly normal Hotel and not as “weird” as it sounds. Since it’s a new Hotel, the Room was clean, the linens were fresh, and the amenities were more than sufficient—in fact, some items like toothbrushes were better than at the official USJ partner Hotel we stayed at in Osaka the day before. It was a very solid Hotel overall. Being able to see the Skytree illumination from the rooftop terrace is a plus, and having a FamilyMart on the first floor made it convenient to quickly buy drinks and other items. Unmanned check-in/out was easy and convenient, and although I expected it to be completely unmanned, staff came by regularly to properly assist foreign guests and travelers who weren’t familiar with the process, which left a good impression. Breakfast felt pricey (2,200 yen if purchased on the day), so we didn’t use it. If you come expecting lots of “quirkiness,” you might feel underwhelmed outside of the front desk area—but as an affordable and clean Accommodation considering its location and facilities, I have no complaints. I’d like to stay again if I have another chance.

    Deluxe Room

    The bathroom and toilet are separate, providing a relaxing space. However, since the sink is combined with the toilet area, an additional larger shelf would have been helpful. The hairdryer was too powerful and lacked a suitable airflow for styling hair, which was disappointing. A trash bin in the toilet area would also be necessary.

    Tobacco odor

    The elevator at the 1st-floor entrance of the hotel had a sign indicating that the entire building is non-smoking. However, as soon as I stepped out of the elevator and entered the 2nd-floor front desk area, an unpleasant smell of cigarette smoke filled the air. There is a smoking room exclusively for guests next to the front desk, and it seems that smoke leaks out from there. It made me feel sick instantly. The elevator also had a noticeable smell. For those who dislike tobacco, this can be unbearable. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and although I went to leave my luggage at the baggage port before check-in but found it full, they quickly assisted me with an alternative solution. The room was equipped with a bath including a washing area, which allowed for relatively comfortable relaxation; however, the sofa made the room feel cramped—it would have been better without it. There were many foreign guests staying at this accommodation; perhaps this is why there is a smoking room installed. This should be reconsidered.

    Panda Room

    It was my first stay. I chose the Panda Room, thinking my daughter would love it. It's compact but clean, close to the station and near Kaminarimon, making the location excellent. Having a convenience store inside the Hotel is also a plus!

    It was quite good.

    The hotel, named "Henn na Hotel," provided a smooth experience from reservation to checkout, and I am satisfied. Although I was initially concerned about the unmanned reception, there were no issues during my stay. Since it is located in Asakusa, there were many foreign guests at check-in, which felt unusual but understandable given the tourist area. I stayed in a twin room that was spacious enough to relax comfortably. If I have the chance in the future, I would like to try staying at another location of this hotel.
