    The location is excellent and easy to use.

    I used this hotel for my first trip to Osaka. It is directly connected to Osaka Prefecture Station, providing easy access to JR, Hankyu Railway, Hanshin Electric Railway, and subway lines without getting lost, making it very convenient for those unfamiliar with the city to visit tourist spots. It is also close to various department stores, so there is no trouble buying souvenirs. The guest rooms are compact yet efficient, equipped with all necessary amenities and easy to use. The staff were also kind and accommodating. I wanted to use it again when visiting Osaka, but it's very disappointing to hear that it will close next year.

    Close to the station

    The proximity to the limousine bus stop for the airport was very helpful. If your only purpose is to stay, the station is also nearby, making it ideal.

    I had used Olympia’s dinner buffet several times, and I became interested in what the breakfast buffet would be like, which led me to stay here. I only recently learned that it will be closing, and I’m truly disappointed. The breakfast I had been looking forward to also met my expectations. I’ll be staying again soon—thank you very much!

    The convenient access to the station and airport was a real highlight.

    With convenient access to both the station and the airport, I had many opportunities to stay here over a long period of time. With so many guest rooms, it always felt easy to make a Reservation even at short notice. I understand the hotel will close in early 2025—thank you for everything.

    The window…

    I stayed for one night on August 3. The staff were courteous, and the Room was very clean. It seems there was a fireworks festival that day, and although we could hear the fireworks from outside, it was disappointing that the window in our Room could not be opened at all, so we couldn’t see what was happening outside. (The window itself was not transparent either.) The location is excellent, but I heard the Accommodation will be closing in January next year. It’s a shame, but I’m glad I had the chance to stay one last time—it will be a good memory. Thank you very much.

    Thank you for upgrading our Room. It was a great help because I have difficulty walking. The building is old, but it was very clean and comfortable. However, the closet seemed designed for overseas guests—the hanging bar was too high, and it was quite a struggle to hang clothes. I used it thinking I just had to put up with it for now. What made up for that was the staff’s courteous hospitality. It’s a shame that the Accommodation will be closing soon, but I’m glad I was able to stay here. Thank you very much.

    I’m glad I was able to stay before it closed!

    I stayed here for business. I learned the Hotel will be closing soon, so I decided to stay. I had made a Reservation for a single Room, but it was changed to a corner triple Room. I was surprised, but it felt lucky to have so much space. However, the Room was very dark, with only a light in the small hallway near the entrance and a bedside lamp. I planned to do some work, but it wasn’t bright enough. In the morning, natural light came in from outside and it was pleasant. The staff at check-in and check-out were very kind and helpful; only the darkness of the Room was surprising. I heard there is a sister property, so I would like to stay there next time.

    There was mold in the bathroom. Also, there was no coin laundry on-site, so I walked about 15 minutes to use a laundromat in town. Being directly connected to the station is really convenient. The staff were also very kind.

    When choosing an Accommodation on IKYU, I always use the Room size as a reference. Based on the information below, does the Room really have 17 m²? If this is a listing error, I would like a refund. If the specifications are correct, I apologize, but it is true that it felt small.     Conveniently located in the city center.

    This was my first stay. I checked in early in advance to attend a live show. It was rainy and very humid, and the temperature rose; the Room air conditioning is old, so it can’t be helped, but it didn’t cool well. Amenities are picked up from behind the front desk and taken to the Room. I would like skincare amenities for women!! Breakfast is average. Right in the center of Umeda. Getting around is very convenient. The Hotel staff’s service is good.

    Air conditioning and noise from the neighboring room

    Even though it was already April, it was still chilly. I asked about using the heater, but was told that only the air conditioner works from April. I borrowed a blanket and rested, but even wearing a cardigan in the Room, I still felt cold—perhaps because I’m used to keeping warm living in Hokkaido. Also, noise from the neighboring Room bothered me.

    I understand that prices are higher during this season, but the basement restaurant we were told about at the front desk was closed, we couldn’t adjust the temperature in our Room, and the doors were noisy to open and close—overall, the Facility feels a bit too outdated.

    The location was excellent for a 3-night Multiple Night Stay, with great access and plenty of dining options, but the noise from the neighboring Room was clearly audible, so I had to be mindful even in my own Room.

    If you’re going to hang out in Umeda, this is the only place to stay.

    The airport limousine bus stops right in front. There’s also a bakery inside called Andante, and it’s incredibly good—I don’t know any place in the city that offers this level of quality at such great value. Shin-Umeda Shokudogai is also just across the street. I always go to “Shioya” for their thick-cut toppings and “Matsuba” for kushikatsu. This time I stayed 2 nights/3 days with breakfast included, but the breakfast is fairly standard, so on the second day I skipped the breakfast venue and used my breakfast ticket to pick up delicious Andante bread as a souvenir instead. The Starbucks Coffee LINKS UMEDA right in front opens from 7:00 AM. The seating area on the 3rd floor is very stylish. Doyamacho is also nearby—this is my only choice when I come to Osaka. In any case, the location is unbeatable. The Room may feel a bit small. I heard it’s scheduled to close in January 2025, which is really disappointing.

    An Accommodation worthy of the Hankyu name

    I stayed for 7 nights on business and requested no room cleaning. However, I was told that housekeeping must be done once every five days, so my room was cleaned on the second day. After that, I asked the front desk to hang fresh towels and bottled water on the doorknob each day, but from the fourth day through the last day, neither towels nor water were replenished. During that time, I pointed this out to the front desk twice, but in the end there was no proper communication among staff, which made my stay very unpleasant. It also coincided with Lunar New Year, and there were many ill-mannered foreign guests; even when passing housekeeping staff in the hallway, there was no greeting. Overall, it was uncomfortable in many ways. I heard this Hotel is scheduled to close next January due to aging facilities, so I decided to use it one last time. However, there was none of the expected Hankyu quality—it felt worse than a run-down love hotel. I will never use it again. I felt it should close immediately, without waiting until next January.

    Given the age of the building, it may be unavoidable, but I was disappointed by how thin the walls are. I could clearly hear the neighbors’ voices and couldn’t sleep.

    Day-use only. The window in the Room had retro-style door curtains, but they were broken and completely immovable, leaving everything visible! While it’s understandable due to the aging facility nearing closure, it might be better to fix such fittings.

    I stayed here at the end of the year. Considering the affordable accommodation price in Umeda, it was understandable, but the facility was outdated, and the room was extremely small, which made it less satisfying. The room was almost entirely occupied by the bed, making it difficult for two people to move around. The room key was also an old-fashioned single key, which was inconvenient. However, I enjoyed the retro atmosphere of the first-floor lobby and had a very delicious breakfast in a large dining hall with a nostalgic Showa-era vibe. While I understand there may be various challenges, I hope for renovations to improve the rooms while preserving the retro charm of this building.

    Since it is a Business Hotel,

    As a returning guest to this accommodation, I was aware of its aging condition and stayed with that understanding. However, after taking a bath and draining the water, it overflowed from beside the toilet, leaving the area flooded. This made using the toilet and sink very inconvenient and far from comfortable. Additionally, due to insufficient soundproofing in the room, noise from neighboring guests kept me awake, leading to sleep deprivation. It turned out to be an unusual hotel stay experience for me.

    Excellent location.

    There is a limousine bus stop nearby. Located right next to Hankyu Umeda, known for its wide selection of exclusive sweets. Close to the station. Everything I personally needed was conveniently nearby, making my stay efficient. However, there was a slight tobacco smell even in the non-smoking room, so I used an air freshener spray. The location was excellent. I would definitely consider staying here again if given the opportunity.

    The room is average, but the cost-performance is good. Breakfast was terrible, especially the miso soup which was cold, and the sausages were tasteless and simply boiled, making them inedible. The method of serving should be reconsidered. Another issue was during check-out; although there were many female staff members present, they ignored waiting customers and continued with their own tasks, causing delays. Compared to standard hotel front desk service, there seems to be a lack of customer service spirit. This left a negative impression of your Hotel at the end. Thank you.

    Convenient Hotel

    Very close to Osaka Station and surrounded by many restaurants, making it very convenient. The availability of an airport bus is also appreciated and frequently used. However, the floor in the bathroom/toilet of the Room this time had a water leak from somewhere, causing slippers to get wet every time. Some maintenance would be greatly appreciated.

    The Room key is broken, and I was locked out.

    I stayed here the night before an overseas trip. Upon arriving in the evening, I left my luggage and went out for dinner, but when I returned, the room key no longer worked. It took a while to fix (unlock), and imagining if this had happened after breakfast on my departure day made me anxious about missing my flight. The staff did apologize during checkout the next morning, but still... The entrance is on the first floor, and there is no elevator to access the second-floor passageway leading to Osaka Station from the hotel. If you have heavy luggage, you need to carry it across the road at a crosswalk from the first floor, which is inconvenient. Since there is a bus terminal for Kansai Airport right in front of the entrance, it would be helpful if clear guidance was provided during accommodation reservation so guests can make an informed choice from the start.
