    Conveniently located near the station and great value for money.

    It’s close enough to the station to call it right in front, yet reasonably priced. It’s stylish, but I felt the lighting around the front desk area was a bit too dim. The large public bath is clean and comfortable, but the lockers are hard to use. Even though there were no other guests, 9 out of 24 lockers (8 columns × 3 tiers), including some on the middle tier, had no keys and were marked as in use. I’m not sure whether guests were claiming them or if it was intentional by the Hotel, but it left me feeling uneasy. It was also inconvenient that shoes must be placed in a locker and that you have to keep it locked until the end. Perhaps because there are many international guests, breakfast is mostly standard Western options, and it was disappointing not to find anything Kyoto-like. There was curry but not enough rice; I appreciated having vegetables available, but since there are places nearby to eat, next time I think I could skip breakfast. The Room is clean, and both the pillows and bed are comfortable. With a subway station nearby as well, this is recommended for a Kyoto trip when you want an easy stay close to the station.

    It was great.

    Even during the Obon season, we were able to stay at an affordable price regardless of booking last-minute, and the Room was spacious and clean. We also enjoyed drinks in the lounge, which was great. It is a very convenient Hotel close to the station, with easy access to both JR and the subway. I would like to stay again next time.

    Water Leak in Guest Room

    During my stay, there was a water leak in the in-room toilet. While Facility issues can happen, I realized that how promptly and appropriately they are handled on the spot directly affects overall satisfaction during the stay.

    Accommodation near Nijo Castle

    I stayed here to visit Nijo Castle. The bed was 220 cm wide—the largest I’ve had at any Hotel—and the large public bath was spacious as well, so I had a very comfortable stay. The Hotel staff were polite and helpful, and I had no issues during my stay. The Hotel was clean, great value for money, and I was very satisfied.

    The Room was clean, ...

    The Room was clean, and the lighting was bright, which was great. I also liked that I could have free coffee in the campus lounge and get work done on my laptop. Even though it’s in front of the station and along a main road, the Room was quiet, which was nice. It would have been even better if there had been a sauna and a water dispenser in the bath area. Since there is only one microwave on the first floor, many people were using it and I had to adjust my timing, but overall it was good.

    My stay was far too short...

    The Room was very spacious and extremely comfortable. I used the large public bath, but I also would have liked to try the spacious bath in the Room. There was a sofa and a table, so I almost wished I could have spent more time in the Room. I felt the price was a great value.

    Casual Royal Park Style

    It was a cold day, and even though I kept turning up the air conditioning in the Room, it still felt chilly. I had to go to another floor myself to borrow a blanket. The phone in the Room was broken but got fixed the next day. The Room and bathroom were clean and stylish, but it was inconvenient without a laundry basket. The space for making tea was narrow, made worse by an audio system taking up space. Coffee is available at the front floor pickup style, with no coffee or tea packs provided in the Room. The second-floor Room faced the street, making it hard to open curtains as passersby could easily see inside. While being near the station is convenient and good for visiting Nijo Castle, there are fewer dining options compared to areas like Karasuma Oike. The staff were young but efficient and left a positive impression. If you can accept this cost-effective version of Royal Park Hotels, it might work well for you.

    I visited during the...

    I visited during the autumn high season. Accommodation cost: Approximately 50,000 yen. Location: Excellent. I could walk to Nijo Castle. Guestroom: The bathroom had a washing area, and the room was spacious and clean. Amenities: Surprised that there were no skincare products like lotion in a hotel of this class. Dining: All dishes served warm were at room temperature instead, with limited variety and lack of originality. Lobby service: Complimentary drinks (coffee, tea, etc.) were available; however, no one addressed the loud gathering of guests who seemed to be enjoying a reunion-like event, which was disappointing.

    After four years

    This was my first review after an unexpected stay for the first time in about four years, and I finally understood how close it is to Nijo Castle on foot. Having access to both the subway and JR lines is a big plus. Of course, buses are also nearby. Everything was just right, and the place was well cleaned—very good.

    The public bath was excellent.

    Close to the station, and both the Hotel and Room were clean and nice. For rooms with only a shower, women need to get a card from the front desk on the first floor to use the public bath, and I initially didn’t know where to find bags for towels, etc. The lounge, Room, and bed were all comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. We’re already talking about coming back with my daughter!

    Pillow scent

    Twin accommodation. It was nice to have two types of pillows, one soft and one firm, but the soft pillow had an unpleasant odor and could not be used. Both beds had soft pillows that smelled of sweat and grime. The room lacked enough shelves, making it inconvenient to place bags or small items, but the bathroom with a washing area and the large public bath were comfortable. The convenient location makes it likely for a return visit. Next time, I would like to check the pillows at check-in and request a replacement if necessary.

    Wonderful!

    Spacious and clean wherever you are, providing a pleasant atmosphere. The large public bath is lovely, though it's a bit disappointing that lotions and other amenities have been removed—understandable, though. The free drinks, lounge, and staff are all highly commendable.

    It was a comfortable stay.

    I stayed because I really wanted to watch the late show at TOHO Cinemas. It was super convenient as it was close to both the station and the cinema (haha). The movie ended past 11 PM, and it was freezing, so I headed to the large public bath. There was only one bathtub, but no one else was there, so it was perfect again! The Room was clean, and the drinks in the lobby were plentiful, making it a comfortable stay.

    I used this facility...

    I used this facility for an entrance exam. When I mentioned to the front desk that I felt a bit cold, they promptly came to the Room and addressed the issue. Thanks to their quick response, I was able to stay warm and comfortable. The staff were very kind and friendly, making my stay pleasant. The lounge was also very comfortable. I would definitely like to use this facility again.

    It is very comfortable.

    The Hotel is clean and pleasant no matter where you are within the Facility. I didn't have time to eat, but the soft drinks were very delicious, and I felt relaxed in the comfortable space.

    Stylish Hotel

    I used the property for a late autumn foliage viewing. The room I stayed in was compact but comfortable, and I would like to repeat my stay at this hotel. The large public bath was also clean and relieved my fatigue completely.
