  The dining service was…

  The exterior looks old, but the Room has been renovated. A nice plus is that the twin Room has a separate bath and toilet. However, the dining service was disappointing: no water was offered, and they couldn’t tell us which wine brands were on the menu. The worst part was waiting over 30 minutes for the next dish after finishing the first salad—apparently they don’t serve the next course until your plate is completely empty. Normally, if guests stop eating, staff should check in and bring the next dish. Even after asking, it took an hour to reach the second course. Also, given the location it may be unavoidable, but I’d like to see better mosquito control—we killed four between night and morning.

  The front desk staff's service was unsatisfactory.

  Before dinner, we requested a taxi arrangement at the front desk and left our key. However, upon returning after dinner to retrieve the key, we were not informed that "the arrangement had not been made" until we inquired ourselves. Only then were we told that "no taxis were available," with no alternative suggestions provided. In the end, we had to contact a taxi company ourselves to make arrangements. The next morning, other guests also mentioned they were informed their arrangements hadn't been made, which was very surprising and disappointing due to the lack of proper assistance. If there is no intention to arrange taxis, it would be better not to accept such requests from the beginning.

  Highly satisfied.

  I had a very comfortable stay as I was provided with the best room despite booking at a very affordable price. The dinner at the restaurant was so delicious and generously portioned that I wondered if it was really okay to offer it at such a price—completely satisfying. Although I may not have the chance to revisit this remote island, it was a Hotel where I would love to enjoy a Multiple Night Stay and relax.

  A Wonderful Hotel in Shin-Kamigoto Town

  I stayed for one night for work. The room was a Standard Double, and it was more spacious than I expected, clean, and comfortable. The cotton loungewear provided was very comfortable to wear. Although there was no complimentary mineral water, I boiled tap water to make coffee, which tasted good. The bathroom was compact but the shower pressure was sufficient. I didn’t use the restaurant this time but would like to try it during my next stay. A foreign female staff member at the front desk assisted me politely. Thank you for your hospitality!

  Above all, the fish and Wagyu beef are delicious in Kamigoto.

  Dinner (teppanyaki) was cooked right in front of us and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The Goto beef, in particular, was aged to perfection and absolutely outstanding. Also, the yellowtail ochazuke for breakfast was delicious as well!

The yellowtail from Kamigoto served at breakfast is characterized by its flavorful and firm texture with a good balance of fat. Additionally, the amber-colored specialty Kamigoto flying fish broth is a carefully crafted additive-free broth made without any chemical seasonings.
