    The difference between the sky and the sea

    Definitely SORA. This time I stayed in umi, but the large public bath was lukewarm, and since it’s umi, the view outside is completely blocked by a wall and you can’t see anything. The Room is small, too. The neighboring spa might be enough. SORA may be better.

    That’s enough.

    My wife and I stayed here together (double bed, breakfast included). She felt it was good value for money. I thought it was decent as well.

    It was a comfortable place to stay.

    The Room was clean and spacious, so I was able to relax very comfortably. The large public bath isn’t particularly big, but it’s clean and pleasant to use. I was also very happy that there was a manga corner. Since parking is free, I especially recommend this place for guests using a rental car. If I had to ask for one thing, I’d be even happier if there were a convenience store in the Facility. Thank you very much. I will stay here again.

    I was bothered by the noise from the refrigerator.

    I thought the in-room kitchen was convenient, but the refrigerator was quite noisy. The small refrigerators in other rooms were much quieter, so this may bother guests who are sensitive to noise. Also, voices from the hallway could be heard clearly, so I felt the soundproofing was poor.

    Cleaning was not thorough enough.

    When I checked in, I noticed a scent that felt like a women’s fragrance. Since it was late at night, I decided to turn on the air purifier and manage it that way. Two hours later, the smell in the Room itself had eased somewhat, but I could still smell it while trying to sleep. It seemed the source was on the duvet, right near where my face would be. The odor was so strong it gave me a headache. I considered asking to change Rooms, but it was already around 2:00 a.m., so I covered that area with a bath towel to reduce the smell. The next day, when I told Hotel staff about it, they responded: “People perceive scents differently, so we didn’t think it would bother you.” This was an experience unlike anything I’ve had before. Also, there was a significant buildup of dust around the air purifier. Because it was late at night, I didn’t contact the front desk; instead, I wiped off what was visible and tried to prevent it from being blown into the air. In addition, near the bathroom ceiling there was a cover that had shifted out of place, and something like dust was hanging down (see attached photo).

    A great Hotel for staying outside Fukuoka.

    This was my second stay. It’s a good place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of central Fukuoka. There is a large public bath, but I used it on my first stay and it wasn’t really my preference, so from the second stay onward I used the in-Room unit bath instead. It seems there are many group guests from Taiwan. Free parking is very helpful. There is also a supermarket nearby, which is convenient.

    I had a pleasant stay.

    This was my second stay, looking forward to the all-you-can-eat crab dinner buffet. Every dish was delicious with a wide variety, and I was very satisfied! Next time, I plan to enjoy the large public bath as well.

    You can reach Hakata...

    You can reach Hakata Station and Tenjin area by Nishitetsu Bus, making this hotel my go-to accommodation when I want to relax a bit. There is also a free shuttle bus to Chihaya Station. Free parking is a great deal. Amenities are available in the 1st-floor lobby, and additional pillows are provided upon request. The room is very clean and well-maintained, and the bathhouse/public bath is spotless and excellent.

    Hotel at IKYU level?

    IKYU is a service I always use. I thought IKYU = Luxury Hotels and Ryokans. However, this was an ordinary Business Hotel. The hotel itself was clean and nice, but I didn't think it matched the type of hotels usually listed on IKYU. It seemed more like a hotel for group tours, including inbound travelers.

    A Convenient Hotel

    It may not be a quiet hotel on weekends due to many guests with children, but there are many great facilities nearby. In particular, Foodway Island Eye Teruha Store and Supercenter Trial Island City Store are close, so you won't have trouble finding meals. Staying during weekdays when the accommodation cost is not high can be a great choice. The unit bath is excellent, so there’s no need to visit the large public bath.

    This month, I stayed...

    This month, I stayed twice, once in the early and once in the middle of the month. Perhaps because it has only been about five years since it was built, the room was clean and well-maintained, allowing me to relax comfortably. The front desk staff provided excellent service with a smile, and I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

    A Hotel Comfortable for Families with Children

    We stayed as a family of three after attending a relative's wedding in central Fukuoka. We used a twin room with our 2-year-old, and the staff kindly arranged the beds to be joined together. Although it is slightly away from Tenjin and Hakata Station, it was not an issue as we traveled by private car. The large public bath on the 10th floor was perfect for relaxing after a long day. Its proximity to Hakozaki made it convenient to visit a popular bakery after checkout.

    Previously, my daughter and her spouse stayed in April and recommended this accommodation, so I stayed for two nights. The room was small but very clean, allowing me to relax comfortably. I will use this accommodation again in mid-June. Thank you in advance.

    Clean and comfortable, but inconvenient without a car.

    Overall, the hotel is clean and gives the impression of a neat Business Hotel. It is located in a reclaimed area with many residential tower apartments that seem to be part of a developing neighborhood. The rates are reasonable, but since shuttle buses are infrequent, renting a car is highly recommended for sightseeing as public transportation access is quite inconvenient. It takes about 10 minutes by local train from Hakata, followed by approximately 15 minutes on an hourly shuttle bus. Regular buses make multiple stops, so it takes significantly longer to reach the nearest station. Taking a taxi could negate the savings on accommodation costs. Parking is free, suggesting that the hotel targets guests with private vehicles. Increasing shuttle bus frequency to the station would be appreciated even if it comes with an additional fee.

    The front desk is very friendly and helpful.

    The front desk staff were very kind and stored the food given by my relatives in the front desk freezer until check-out. They also explained transportation to Hakata Station in detail, so although it was a bit far, I got there smoothly. I drove to Shikanoshima to see the sunset, and it was relatively close and convenient from the Hotel. The Room was spacious and comfortable. It was the perfect Hotel to conclude my trip.

    Business Trip Use

    The Room is spacious and comfortable for the price, as it is located away from the city. The large public bath was also good. The breakfast is also varied, so if you have a car, it is recommended for both business and leisure use.

    Simple and good.

    I made a mistake by parking in the back parking lot, but it's convenient if you park in front of the main entrance. Everything is simple and there's nothing remarkable, but it's new and clean, so overall it's good. It was a bit inconvenient that there were no convenience stores or shops inside the building or nearby. It would have been better to prepare some snacks for the Room in advance.

    This is my second time using it.

    The dinner was delicious and we were very satisfied. Since our child loves crab, we chose a course that included all-you-can-eat crab. The steak was also grilled right in front of us, and the whole family was delighted. On the way to the Hotel, the Oita Expressway we were using was heavily congested due to the new opening of a commercial Facility near the nearest IC, and we got caught in it, making it seem like we might not make it in time for check-in and dinner. Despite our significantly delayed arrival time, the Hotel staff made adjustments for us, and we were able to enjoy a delicious meal. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you very much for your consideration! The breakfast had a wide variety, and the Room was clean and comfortable. Next time, I would like to stay at SORA as well. Thank you very much for this time.
