    The front desk service was good.

    I stayed on February 1. The service that delivered my luggage from your affiliated Hotel near Kyoto Station to the Hotel in Kawaramachi was convenient and very helpful. In the Room, it was inconvenient that the washbasin was in the bedroom and there was no changing area. I also noticed dust on the floor next to the bed. It felt like the cleaning wasn’t thorough, which was a bit unpleasant.

    Enjoyed the best of Kyoto.

    The traditional Japanese decor attracts many international guests, but the atmosphere was very calm. The staff provided excellent service, and the large public bath was very relaxing. Conveniently located near Shijo Kawaramachi, and with a paid luggage delivery service available from the affiliated Hotel near Kyoto Station, it offered great convenience.

    Reliable Hotel

    I stay at this hotel every year for work. The large public bath is a great way to relax and unwind after a long day. The room is small but well-designed, and the shower booth has strong water pressure, which is convenient when I don't have time to visit the public bath. Additionally, the spacious sink area makes it comfortable to get ready in the morning.

    Hotel where you can enjoy the world of Japanese culture with all five senses.

    Upon entering the Hotel, I was greeted by the scent of Shoyeido incense, and my expectations were heightened as soon as I stepped into the entrance. Without disappointing those expectations, every aspect of this wonderful Hotel embodied the spirit of Japanese harmony: from the interior design featuring Buddhist art and its associated concept designs to the staff's attentive service (thank you for accommodating our Room preferences) and a breakfast lineup showcasing meticulously prepared dishes. The Hotel boasts an excellent location right behind Takashimaya in Shijo Kawaramachi, central Kyoto City. It was a convenient spot for strolling around Gion, visiting temples and shrines, enjoying gourmet experiences, and more—allowing us to fully enjoy our winter trip in Kyoto. Despite being unusually cold with snow falling in Kyoto, we could relax and warm up by stretching out in a dimly lit large bathhouse with meditative background music playing softly. Even the snow accumulating on well-maintained plantings became picturesque and beautiful. When foreign acquaintances visit Japan, this is definitely where I'd recommend first. On a side note, Tokyo's "Mitsui Garden Hotel Jingu Gaien" also offers great comfort; I've grown fond enough to want to stay at various Hotels within their chain.

    I would like just one improvement!

    Right in the heart of Shijo Kawaramachi in Kyoto, the location is excellent and very convenient for sightseeing and dining. Yet, it is quiet at night. As it is a collaboration hotel with a temple called Jokyoji, you can experience the morning service (for a fee), which was refreshing. The Japanese-style breakfast in the morning was plentiful and delicious, providing great satisfaction. The staff were all very kind and pleasant. The only real disappointment was that despite the room being spacious, there were no shelves or drawers to store clothes and other items. For a two-night stay with two people, there is a fair amount of luggage, such as clothes and toiletries, but no place to store them. Having to take things out of the suitcase each time is really stressful. Leaving the suitcase open and lying on the floor is unsightly and inconvenient. And for some reason, there is a small chest placed right next to the toilet. I hope it’s not meant for storage, right? The toilet is just a toilet. I don't feel comfortable placing clean clothes there. I would like to use this hotel again. I would be happy if improvements are made.

    A hotel with a calm atmosphere

    Despite being conveniently located in the bustling area of Shijo Kawaramachi, it was a quiet hotel where you could relax away from the noise. The room, as well as the large public bath and other facilities, were thoroughly cleaned, and the staff's response was courteous, making it a hotel you'd want to stay at again. The baggage service from the affiliated hotel in front of Kyoto Station was very helpful, allowing for light sightseeing. Unfortunately, the morning service experience was on a day of suspension, so I couldn't participate, but I would definitely like to try it next time.

    It is a calm and well-located Hotel.

    I have used this place many times. The location is great, allowing easy walking access to temples and dining options. The reception staff are polite and kind. The Room is clean, the bedding is good, and I like the separate nightwear. The baggage service is also convenient, allowing me to use my time efficiently, and I am very satisfied. Overall, I can use it with great peace of mind. The only issue was that I used the large public bath early in the morning, and I was puzzled to find used toothbrushes exposed in all the trash bins in the bathroom. Generally, I think most people use the washroom in the changing area, but many inbound guests may not be familiar with the large public bath, so it would be appreciated if you could add a note about manners. Alternatively, it might be better not to provide toothbrushes in the large public bath. There was a ReFa hairdryer in the washroom, which was also nice. I will use it again.

    Good Hotel

    Despite being in a very convenient location, it was quiet and I was able to rest well. However, it was a bit disappointing that the cleaning was not thorough. If the timing is right, I would like to repeat my stay.

    The luggage delivery and lounge are also excellent.

    The Hotel exceeded expectations with its rooms, large public bath, and breakfast, and we were very satisfied. We used the suitcase delivery service from the Hotel to Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Station, which was very convenient. We also appreciated being able to take a break in the lounge.

    I was surprised by the number of foreign guests, but the facility was clean and I was able to stay comfortably. I will stay again if I have the opportunity. Thank you very much.
