    Overall, this Hotel offers good value for money.

    The Room cleaning is not thorough.

    I stay at this Hotel for work, but the cleaning is quite careless. There is sometimes trash that appears to have been left by previous guests, and the front desk staff often chat among themselves; the layout is also inconvenient. Especially during busy check-in times, I would like you to organize the line properly. I plan to stay here again, but I am worried about whether I will be able to relax and feel refreshed.

    I stayed for a total...

    I stayed for a total of 4 nights. One bottle of water per person was only replenished during housekeeping, which takes place every other day. The day after there was no housekeeping, I suffered heatstroke while out and returned to the Room. Of course, there was no cold water in the refrigerator, so I had to go to a convenience store to buy a cold drink. It was very difficult. All four nights, I could not sleep well because loud door-slamming noises from nearby Rooms echoed every few minutes late at night, and I remained sleep-deprived throughout my stay. I feel this may have contributed to the heatstroke this time.

    The moment I entered...

    The moment I entered the Room after check-in, I felt sick from the strong lingering perfume smell left by the previous guest. I made a Reservation because the website looked modern, but it was just a Business Hotel commensurate with the price. The lobby was unbelievably small, cleanliness was mediocre, and breakfast was disappointing. After sightseeing in the morning, I suffered heatstroke and returned to the Hotel feeling like I might collapse, but I was coldly told that breakfast last order had already passed. All I wanted was to sit down for a moment and have just one cold drink before going back to my Room. On this trip to Kyoto, I chose the wrong Hotel.

    I was happy to find ...

    I was happy to find an air purifier already provided—it seems like it may now be standard. Everything was almost contactless, and this time I wasn’t bothered by any noise, so I slept well. I really like the hot stone, and I hope it won’t be removed during the renovations.

    Very comfortable!

    It was comfortable, but it was disappointing to see what looked like mold on the bathroom walls.

    There was a strong odor when I entered the Room. When I told the front desk, they said it might be a lingering smell because many international guests stay there. When I went to the bath, there were many international guests. Some people got into the bathtub without showering first, so I think posted guidelines are necessary. The personal lockers for storing luggage in the lobby and the location were good. I didn’t like that the toilet lighting was dim.

    Satisfied

    The Room was clean and nice, but the amenities were not very good. Since there was no bathtub in the Room, I wanted to use the large public bath on both days. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Overall, I was satisfied. Thank you.

    Some staff members are unhelpful and hard to understand.

    Checked in after 7:00 PM on Sunday, April 26. A male staff member who seemed like a part-time worker assisted me. Me: “Should I enter it in the alphabet?” Staff: “Please enter it in romaji.” Could you tell me the difference between the alphabet and romaji?

    There was no information provided about the services.

    Overall, the staff were very helpful, but we were not informed at check-in about the welcome drink service. We only found out about it later from a poster in the elevator on our way to the baths at night. When we asked at the front desk, we were told that it was already 9:10 p.m., so the service hours had ended and they could not provide it. We also mentioned that we had not been informed at check-in, but there was no particular apology. Honestly, I couldn’t help thinking, “Just 10 minutes…” At the very least, I wish they had checked whether it could still be provided or responded with a bit more regret—then I might have felt it couldn’t be helped… The Room, baths, sauna, and meals were all excellent, so that one point was disappointing. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

    It was a relaxing environment.

    We stayed for a few days as a family of four. The Room was spacious and open, with a comfortable sofa to relax on, plenty of space to store clothes, daily necessities, and souvenirs, as well as separate bath and toilet areas and two sinks. It provided an extremely comfortable environment as a base for our trip. Our children also mentioned their stay at this Hotel as one of the highlights of the trip. Thank you for your hospitality!

    This also serves as my personal memo. The deep bathtub and steam sauna are great. This was my third stay since the end of last year, and although I thought I had chosen a quiet Room, the layout is unusual with north- and south-facing Rooms. I heard extremely loud sirens from the nearby fire station, as if multiple fire engines were responding at once. That was just bad luck, but I’m convinced the twin Room is the best option. There are also larger twin Rooms. There wasn’t even a single towel hook. The Room air-conditioning is mostly automatic. It felt like a Room that hadn’t been used in a while, and the bedding was very dark and damp, which made me itchy. Road noise isn’t noticeable in the restaurant, but it carries into the guest Rooms. Karasuma-dori near Oike is currently undergoing nighttime road repair work. Over New Year’s it was full of Western guests; this time it was mainly Lunar New Year visitors. As when I called to request an air purifier before, I was disappointed that I didn’t feel any warmth from the female staff member this time—her reply came with conditions (“We may not be able to accommodate you due to limited units.”), and there was no “Please take care on your way” or “We look forward to welcoming you.” If there were an amenities Room, I could pick one up myself. When you ask questions, they seem bothered. The drink service ended after New Year’s, and it happened to be a day without any particularly pleasant female staff members. The guests were different from New Year’s Western visitors—this time many arrived by hired cars for Lunar New Year. For transportation, Karasuma Matsubara by bus is clearly more convenient than taking the subway for both Kyoto Station and Kawaramachi. If you’re fit and traveling light, walking works too.

    It was comfortable.

    It was my first time staying here, and both the front desk and the Room had a calm and lovely atmosphere. I was looking forward to the large public bath and sauna, but since they operate on a gender rotation system, I couldn't use the sauna during my visit, which was disappointing. However, considering the location and price overall, I think it's great value for money. I would like to stay here again.

    Convenient location

    Conveniently located and easy to use, but the room had a slightly damp smell. There was also dust on the ventilation above the toilet. While the location, style, and staff service were great, it lacked a bit in cleanliness. However, it is very accessible to various places and surrounded by many restaurants, making it a recommended accommodation.

    Stylish with great views

    The location was great and the Room was stylish, but it was disappointing that the dust was noticeable and the Room smelled smoky. However, the staff's service was excellent, and breakfast was reasonably priced.

    Too stylish

    Stylish for a Business Hotel. The black-themed decor creates a calm atmosphere, and the Facility is clean. Basic amenities are provided, but they are sufficient. Conveniently located near Gojo Station with easy access. Two points to note: 1. The card key scanner is on the doorknob, which can be confusing without prior instructions. 2. During checkout, it was unclear where to scan the card key. These might not be an issue for younger guests, but... Unfortunately, I didn't have time to use the bath and sauna facilities.

    The spa and bar are excellent! Also great as a Business Hotel!

    Can be used like a Business Hotel, but also offers excellent spa and amenities, making it a great value for leisure purposes. The spa, in particular, felt like a luxurious Facility at a high-end Hotel and was truly impressive. The French toast at breakfast was exceptional. The salad bar and drink bar were well-stocked. It would be perfect if the coffee from the espresso machine could also make lattes!

    Too stylish

    Prioritizing style may lead to a departure from universal design... ① I couldn't figure out how to use the project monitor. ② I was unsure if the water was drinkable. ③ It took time to locate the phone connected to the front desk. ④ I also had to search a bit for the air conditioner remote control. ⑤ The black shelves and surfaces made it easy for my phone to blend in and go missing (the room was also dimly lit). On the day of my stay, women were using the sauna, so I couldn't use the public bath. There wasn't much in terms of customer service; it's mostly self-service. If you ask, they kindly explain things (though with several staff at reception, it would have been nice if they helped a bit more...). We stayed as four people in one room, and everyone had beds of equal quality, which we appreciated overall!

    The Hotel featured a stylish black-themed interior. The loungewear was very comfortable, and the Room was spacious, allowing for a good night's sleep. The Room had no bathtub, only a shower. While the overall calm decor and lighting provided relaxation, the dim lighting became an issue in the morning, making it difficult to apply makeup. If at least the brightness around the sink area could be adjusted, it would have been a 5-star experience.

    Very satisfied.

    I often stay at both Business Hotels and city hotels, but this one impressed me with its sophisticated lounge, large public bath equipped with a ReFa dryer, and shampoo and conditioner with natural essential oil fragrances. I was moved by the excellent cost performance after a long time. The lounge meals are also reasonably priced and convenient. The late check-in and check-out times and the location are perfect. I will definitely use it again. I felt that the price was achievable because it is a smart hotel that keeps labor costs down. Thank you very much!

    Even if it looks stylish...

    At first glance, it looks stylish, but it is a hotel with dim lighting that makes it difficult to use. The decoration is predominantly black, and on top of that, the lighting is dim, so it's hard to tell if the room is clean. It was not functional for a Business Hotel and was poor for a regular Hotel.
