    Clean and comfortable

    As it is a new Hotel, it was compact yet clean and comfortable. The Room toilet is separate from the shower room, making it easy to use. There was no bathtub, but I used the large public bath on the second floor and had a very comfortable stay. Although I booked a Plan without breakfast, I was able to use the neighboring café (the designated venue for breakfast-included Plans) without any issues, and it was also convenient that taxis are always available at the Hotel across the street. I will stay again.

    Highly satisfied

    The location was convenient, and both the Room and the large public bath were clean—this Hotel offered great value for the price. I also liked that breakfast included a choice of morning set meals at Café de Crie. If I had to mention one thing, it would have been nice to be able to check how crowded the large public bath was from the Room. Still, it’s a Hotel I’d like to stay at again. Thank you very much.

    Vacation

    Because hotel rates across Otaru were inflated for the festival, I chose this Hotel. Unfortunately, the reception at check-in was disappointing. The young male staff member wearing glasses was curt throughout, and I did not feel any smile or welcoming attitude, which made me uncomfortable. Since a Hotel’s first impression is shaped by the front desk, service like this can ruin an otherwise enjoyable stay. Even if the Facility and location are good, without quality service I would not want to stay again. I felt staff training should be reviewed.

    This Hotel is one you’ll definitely want to stay at again.

    Although this Hotel opened in 2020, the room was very clean and I was satisfied. The large public bath has about six washing stations, and when I used it around 19:30 there was no one else, so I could relax. Breakfast is served at the cafe on the first floor of the Hotel, and there was no wait, which I appreciated. I would like to stay here again when I visit Sapporo.

    Unexpected Barrier-Free Room: Room Assignment Plan

    I stayed for one night on a business trip. It’s a new Hotel, and from Sapporo Station you can walk through the underground walkway (Chikaho) and then a short distance above ground. I was traveling with a suitcase, but it was an easy walk. The front desk is on the 1st floor, and on the 2nd floor there is a large public bath and a free lounge. At the complimentary drink corner, I could enjoy coffee, tea, and more. If I’d had more time, I would have liked to relax there longer. The public bath was open until 1:00 a.m., so I was able to unwind. What surprised me when I entered my Room was that it was fully barrier-free. The entrance had sliding doors and a two-step entry layout designed for wheelchair users. The bathroom and toilet were also set up like an assisted-living Facility, and the Room was far too spacious for one person—almost wastefully so. There were also two closets positioned at a height that’s easy to use. I stayed on the 3rd floor, which was convenient because it was close to both the public bath and lounge on the 2nd floor. The only disappointment was breakfast: my stay included a morning set meal, but since it’s served at the café, it was extremely crowded with a long line. (The breakfast itself was very delicious and satisfying.) Overall, I think it’s a good Hotel, but with an assigned Plan room type (“omakase”), it wasn’t comfortable enough for me to sleep calmly. Next time, I’d like to choose a standard guest Room instead.

    Helped

    I lost my umbrella on the train. After checking in, I looked up the next day’s weather forecast in the Hotel and saw it would rain, thinking I’d have to buy another one. As I was about to leave the Hotel, I noticed an umbrella at the entrance and asked if I could use it. They said it was fine, and it really helped. After checking out on the last day, I realized I had left something behind in my Room. I explained the situation, and they kindly let me go back to retrieve it—I’m very grateful.

    Many female guests.

    Many Business Hotels these days have a lot of female guests, but this one had an especially high ratio. It’s located between Sapporo Station and Odori Station, so it’s a bit of a walk from either, but the Hotel was clean and I had no complaints. Breakfast is a morning set at the street-level Cafe Creer on the first floor; there are no local specialties or regional ingredients—just a standard set. Since I enjoyed plenty of Hokkaido ingredients for dinner, breakfast was more than enough. I also used the bath and was satisfied.

    Conveniently located near the station.

    This was my first stay, and the Room was clean and comfortable, so I was able to relax and take it easy. It was also conveniently close since I took the train from Sapporo Station the next day. However, I only realized the next morning that the large public bath was on the second floor, which was a shame. Next time I stay, I’d like to use it. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Toward an Innovative System

    I found it innovative that check-in is done by scanning the pre-issued QR code at a machine. It also felt new to have the Room number, Wi-Fi password, and other details printed on the receipt, as this wasn’t done before. The only time staff assistance seems necessary is when breakfast at this Hotel is used only on some days of the stay. At breakfast last time, there were no scrambled eggs; this time, although eggs were offered in a “filling” style, I was glad to see them available again.

    Unqualified as a Business Hotel

    This time, I stayed for a business trip with a multiple night stay of 3 nights. The price and the quality do not match at all. The front desk service was extremely unhelpful. Breakfast was served as a morning set at the café on the first floor, which was highly unsanitary and exceptionally unfriendly. Although the facility is new, unfortunately, among over 500 business accommodations I have experienced so far, this ranks at the very bottom. Especially, customer service is the worst.

    The price has increased, but it's comfortable.

    This is about my third time using this accommodation. This time, I made the reservation well in advance, but the accommodation cost has increased, possibly due to inflation. That said, the place is clean and well-maintained, so I have no complaints.

    Reviews of the Refa Room

    I chose the ReFa Room because I didn't need to bring a hair dryer or straightener. However, I was a bit disappointed to find ReFa hair dryers in the public bath as well. Also, while ReFa is known for its hair oil, the amenities only included shampoo and conditioner, which was unfortunate. It was nice to experience the ReFa shower head though. The room was new, clean, and the bed was comfortable. That said, honestly, it felt a bit overpriced.

    The Facility is new and nice, but the Room was not cleaned.

    I stayed in Sapporo for a multiple night stay of 3 nights for work. Having stayed here before and thinking it was good value for the price, I decided to stay again this time. However, my expectations were completely betrayed. 1) The floor was not cleaned properly, and there were at least four long hairs clearly visible on the flooring. 2) There was something like snacks (presumably left by the previous guest) remaining in the refrigerator. Given that even the flooring was in such a state, walking on the carpet felt very unpleasant. Additionally, I reported issue 1 on the first day but did not feel that this concern was shared among all front desk staff afterward; it seemed to be treated as just a simple complaint, which is what bothered me most. As I see no room for improvement moving forward, I canceled my next reservation and will never use this accommodation again.

    Convenient location and great value for money.

    I stayed for 2 nights. While it requires a bit of walking from JR Sapporo Station and the subway, the location was convenient. The facility was clean, and the room was compact but did not feel cramped or inconvenient. The Clock Tower and Odori Park were nearby, allowing me to combine sightseeing with my business trip destination. The front desk staff provided very polite service, and despite being in the tourist season, it offered great value for money. I had a comfortable stay. If I have another chance to visit Sapporo, I would like to stay here again.

    Initially, I went to a different JR Inn by mistake, but the staff kindly guided me, and I was able to check in smoothly. The pillow and bed were very comfortable, allowing me to relax. The bath was also excellent.

    The location was difficult to find.

    The location was initially hard to find, but once figured out, it was easy to access the station and turned out to be convenient. The Room felt a bit dusty. I opted for the breakfast included option, but it might have been better to eat elsewhere.

    The Room is extremely dirty.

    I chose this accommodation for its good reviews and convenient location, but it turned out to be a hotel I would never want to stay at again. The room I stayed in might have been an exception, so I can't say for sure, but the room was extremely dirty. First, the sink drain had orange stains that looked like they hadn't been cleaned for about a month. When I scrubbed it with the provided toothbrush, it came off easily. The sliding door between the bedroom and bathroom had dust on its lower track; wiping it with a damp tissue also removed it quickly. There were small black objects stuck near the bottom of the wall that resembled insects; these too came off when wiped. The bottom part of the shower room door was covered in mold and dust clumps that seemed hardened over time. Since it was late at night and changing hotels wasn't an option, I endured two nights and three days by staying as still as possible in my room while holding my breath. Additionally, regarding front desk service: during both check-in and check-out, there wasn't even a hint of a smile from staff members who spoke in monotone voices without any warmth or hospitality. When I arrived at 2:30 PM to leave my luggage before check-in time (3 PM), one staff member sternly said, "You cannot enter your room until 3 PM!" which left me shocked by their tone. Looking back now, I regret not switching hotels then—it would have spared me from seeing such an unclean room.

    Close to Odori Station and featuring a large public bath, this Hotel was the first where I made it a habit to have breakfast on the last day of my stay. Among JR Inn Group Hotels, I stayed one night in Hakodate and Asahikawa, while Sapporo is the only location where I opted for a Multiple Night Stay and had breakfast only on the final day. From check-in to retrieving luggage after check-out, the process has remained consistent since my first visit. However, one notable change is that luggage storage has shifted from being handled at the front desk to a secure system with passcode locks. Additionally, JR Inn Kita 2 Jo stands out as a potential choice for stays when returning from outside Hokkaido.

    I had a comfortable stay.

    I stayed for three nights to attend a live concert at Makomanai Sekisui Heim Ice Arena. While it’s not very close to the station, its location within walking distance of Sapporo Station and Odori Station made it convenient for both the concert and sightseeing. The Room was very clean, with separate spaces for the toilet, sink, and shower booth, offering plenty of space. I dislike washing in a bathtub, so having a shower booth was excellent. For those who prefer soaking in a bath, the Hotel also has a large public bath. The bed was spacious, and I could choose a pillow that suited me from the pillow bar on the second floor, ensuring a good night’s sleep. (However, some pillows were already gone depending on the time of day—checking in early might be better.) The second floor also had ice machines and microwaves available; I used them when enjoying drinks in my Room at night. A long table by the window provided ample space to place luggage—very convenient! Unlike many Hotels where there is only one trash bin per Room, this Hotel had two: one under the table by the window and another under the sink. This small detail made things stress-free as I didn’t have to move around just to throw something away while using the sink. When opting for towel/amenity replacement only during cleaning service instead of full cleaning, I received one complimentary bottle of water per day. New trash bags were also provided along with towels so that even if trash accumulated in my Room over three nights without full cleaning service being needed—it wasn’t an issue! Additionally helpful staff collected filled-up garbage bags left outside upon request directly from hallways which allowed me more freedom keeping belongings spread out comfortably inside without worrying about tidying up constantly! Front desk assistance proved invaluable too—for instance when realizing missing disposable chopsticks after returning back post-convenience store purchases they kindly supplied replacements promptly saving unnecessary trouble altogether! Overall experience staying here felt incredibly comfortable making future visits whenever traveling again towards Sapporo highly likely indeed!

    I would love to stay here again!

    The room was simple but very spacious, with a large bed that made for a comfortable stay! The public bath had a spacious changing area with plenty of hairdryers, making it very convenient. Although the washing areas in the bathroom were slightly limited, the large bathtub was excellent! It’s a Hotel I would love to stay at again on my next trip to Hokkaido!

    My first stay at Sapporo Kita 2-jo was satisfying.

    As part of the reliable JR Group, the experience was simple and pleasant. The large public bath was enjoyable without crowds by adjusting the timing. However, there was no tea available in the lounge, so considering the higher price, it would be nice to see a wider variety of beverages offered. Additionally, it would be appreciated if floors could be separated for foreign guests.

    This time, I used the breakfast. It's almost the same as the standard morning set at the neighboring cafe. An additional 50 yen for one more cup of coffee. Slightly unsatisfying. The Room and service were satisfactory.

    Clean and easy to use

    It was clean and very comfortable to stay. Above all, the Room was small but stylish, and having a separate toilet and shower was very nice. The shampoo had a nice fragrance, and the Room also had a somewhat pleasant scent, but it was disappointing that when I got into the futon, there was a faint smell of cigarettes, perhaps from a previous guest who smoked. The price is high, so repeating the stay is limited...

    Necessary and sufficient

    This is my second time using it. Depending on what you are looking for in a Hotel, it is a very convenient Hotel for sightseeing, events, or as a base for work. Above all, it is clean and the staff's response is good. I will use it again if I have the opportunity.

    This is my second time using it, following last year.

    The best point is the easy access from Sapporo Station. Since my family home is in Hokkaido, I stayed alone for a Multiple Night Stay while visiting. It's conveniently located for meeting up with friends, so I used it again this year following last year. Perhaps because it's a new building, I wasn't bothered by hallway noise during checkout or other room cleaning times, and I was able to relax. Since there is a large public bath, I chose only the shower in the Room's bathroom. I really like the large public bath. I would like to use it again when I return home next year.

    The bright washroom is refreshing.

    Thank you for providing the ReFa room. The brightness of the bathroom and toilet space in the morning, with natural light coming in, was pleasant. The desk, as long as the bed, was useful for work and organizing luggage. There is feedback from others that the location of the Hotel is hard to find. It was mentioned that they passed by as it is adjacent to the sidewalk.
