    Overall, I was satisfied, but the only thing that bothered me was the dirt on the air conditioner vent. It was quite dirty, like black mold, so I turned off the air conditioning before going to sleep. The vent in my companion’s separate single room wasn’t particularly dirty, so I’m not sure if it was just missed during cleaning, but that was the only concern.\nThe staff were polite and left a good impression.

    When I asked the front desk about a good nearby izakaya, they kindly gave me detailed recommendations. Also, when I requested to borrow an iron, they brought it to my Room, which was very helpful. I felt the Facility was a bit old, but it was well maintained and very clean. The amenities were minimal, and I got the impression this Hotel is highly conscious of environmental measures. I would like to stay at this Hotel again if I have the opportunity.

    It was excellent.

    The Onsen was spacious and very relaxing. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of dishes and was very delicious. The staff at the front desk and the cleaning staff were friendly, making my long stay comfortable. However, it was a bit disappointing that the restaurant's lunch menu had limited daily specials, so I couldn't try them.

    The Western breakfast options need improvement.

    About 20 years ago, I was disappointed by the insensitivity of having all seats in the large bath's lounge designated as smoking areas, so I avoided staying here since then. However, a few years ago, with the revision of the Health Promotion Act mandating non-smoking public spaces in hotels, I decided to give it another try. The building did not show significant aging as I had expected and was well-cleaned. However, the refrigerator next to my head while sleeping made a constant buzzing noise, so I requested a room change (the refrigerator also didn’t cool well enough and might be unsatisfactory during summer). The major issue was breakfast. While there were many options available, as someone who always eats bread for breakfast, I found the quality of bread mediocre. There was no butter provided—only margarine—and no proper brewing time taken for coffee to enhance its flavor. It felt like there wasn’t much effort put into offering delicious meals. Additionally, while allergen labeling indicated chicken usage in meatballs, it wasn’t labeled for dishes like Chikuzen-ni that also contained chicken—showing some carelessness in their work. Since mistakes in allergen labeling could lead to health risks, following administrative guidelines for thorough checks is highly recommended.

    I believe this is a reliable Hotel.

    A standard Business Hotel. While there is some aging in the Facility, both the interior and exterior are well-maintained. The front desk staff provides pleasant service. There is a decent amount of free parking available (though availability during peak seasons is uncertain). The highlight is definitely the breakfast, featuring traditional Yamagata dishes and a wide variety to enjoy. Next time, I plan to try the large public bath as well.

    I stayed for one night.

    I used it for a one-night, two-day trip to Yamagata. Although the building itself is a bit old, the Hotel, which can also host weddings, left a very polite impression with its front desk and cleaning staff. With direct access to S-Mall, it was extremely convenient to reach the bus terminal heading to the airport and other locations in about 3 minutes from the Room. I would like to use it again.

    The breakfast buffet truly showcases the deliciousness of Shonai!

    A spacious and calm room with a warm atmosphere that doesn't feel like a Business Hotel. The area around the bed is equipped with a sturdy and comfortable chair, and the washbasin with a large mirror right at the entrance has Biore hand soap, making for a comfortable stay. The large public bath offers a scenic view, with an open-air bath under the blue sky. The sauna, which doesn't feel overwhelmingly hot at first, works very effectively over time, and the pleasant Onsen was enjoyable. The buffet we were looking forward to indeed allowed us to taste the deliciousness of Shonai vegetables, such as salads, simmered dishes, and pickles. My daughter said the salt bread was delicious! I wanted to try it too, but unfortunately, it was already gone. However, I enjoyed the croissant, which was baked crispy with plenty of butter. Guests also receive a newspaper, and with the article about the autumn leaves of Mount Chokai in the Yamagata Newspaper, we climbed the Chokai Blue Line the next day and enjoyed the wonderful scenery.

    Convenient Hotel

    Convenient location for visiting the Three Mountains of Dewa. Despite being close to the station, train noise was not an issue. The facility may feel a bit old, but the room and other areas were kept clean, making it a pleasant stay. Amenities are on the minimal side. The Onsen was excellent. Since my room was in the main building, I had to pass by the front desk to reach the large public bath, so I walked quickly through that area. Minus 2 stars because YouTube cannot be watched on the in-room TV, the sink is inconvenient to use, and there is slight wobbling with the toilet seat.
