    Quiet and nice...

    I was hardly bothered by noise from the neighboring Room. The Room is small, so there’s limited closet space for hanging clothes, and it would have been nice to have a small set of drawers… but it’s not an expensive Room where I can really complain, and it was only two nights. There’s no free drinking water in the Room, but that’s on me for not reading the Reviews. The best part… breakfast. A few dishes were quite strongly seasoned and made me think “Huh?”, but overall it was delicious. The tofu dishes in particular were great—I’d love to have them again. A good Hotel in a convenient location near the station—very satisfying.

    Compared to before, the cleanliness and overall sense of hygiene had declined. Entering companion details is also time-consuming, so I would like to be able to enter them in advance when making a Reservation.

    This was my third stay here. I wanted to drink Japanese tea, but it was a hassle to go all the way to the convenience store. I really like the breakfast. The freshly fried tempura was delicious, and I was very satisfied. One thing that concerned me: I’m not sure where they were from, but someone poured coffee directly into what looked like an insulated thermos and took it away. It’s been on my mind.

    I had high expectations due to the good reviews on IKYU.com, but the quality did not match the discounted price (30% off). The exterior, lobby, and hallways have a chic design that gives a sense of luxury, but the guest room was small with dirty walls. The bidet controller was covered in dust and hair, and there was dust everywhere else as well. Despite other guests mentioning cleanliness issues in their reviews, it seems there is no system in place for improvement or willingness to address these concerns. I hate to compare, but it falls far below the service level of well-known business hotel chains (like A◯Hotel), which I would describe as amateurish at best. Breakfast offered a variety of options, but the taste quality was poor. Additionally, while trying to enjoy my meal at a relaxed pace, staff repeatedly insisted on self-clearing trays—was this supposed to feel like school lunch? It completely ruined the dining experience; efficiency seemed prioritized over hospitality. Finding a truly satisfying hotel is rare these days. I wonder how the neighboring Ro◯◯◯ Twin compares—perhaps it's similar?

    Approximately 5 minutes from Kyoto Station, providing convenient access to various sightseeing spots in Kyoto as well as Osaka and Kobe. The Room is clean, with a spacious bathroom for a comfortable bathing experience.

    Within walking dista...

    Within walking distance from Kyoto Station Hachijo Exit. The clean interior made for a very pleasant stay. Many of the guests were international tourists, and the lobby and area in front of the elevator to the rooms were quite crowded. Some guests would cut in line while waiting for the elevator, which left a negative impression. Other than that, it was generally highly rated.

    Great value for money

    The hotel was clean, and the room was spacious and very nice. There were no amenities or water in the room, but towels and room wear were replaced daily, and necessary amenities could be obtained at the front desk, so it was not a problem at all. I stayed in a twin room, which had enough space to open my suitcase and a separate bathroom that was convenient to use. I would love to stay here again next time.

    Room change

    When I entered the Room and turned on the TV, only the Hotel guide was displayed. I called the front desk to fix it (1st time). When using the sink, it wouldn’t drain. After removing hair clogging the drain myself and cleaning it, it still didn’t work, so I called again for assistance (2nd time). After unpacking my luggage, taking a bath, washing socks, and relaxing while watching TV again, it stopped working once more. I called the front desk (3rd time), but they couldn’t fix it this time either and decided to change my Room. I was told to pack up immediately; however, with belongings spread all over the Room, packing quickly wasn’t possible. They brought paper bags for me to use during three trips back and forth for moving from 8th floor down to 3rd floor—a downgrade. All I received was an apology. At checkout via an automated payment machine—no further acknowledgment of these issues occurred. I wondered what that unpleasant experience was about? Perhaps just bad luck or something common in Hotels? We visit Kyoto as a family 3–4 times annually but have never experienced anything like this before. This being our first stay here left us disappointed despite enjoying spacious bathrooms and excellent breakfast offerings—it’s unfortunate!

    We stayed in a 17㎡ Room for two people. It felt cramped, likely due to the larger bed, and we often had to move aside for each other. This Room might be more suitable for one person or those with minimal luggage. The Hotel is conveniently located near the station, relatively new, clean overall, and functional. However, if upgrading to a larger Room at a higher price, I might consider another Hotel. For solo travelers, it could be a good option. The front desk staff could improve their greetings slightly, while the cleaning staff were very friendly and greeted us warmly.

    Delightful breakfast experience

    I stayed for a solo trip of one night and two days. The Room was comfortable with no issues. The highlight was the delicious breakfast. It was a buffet style, and I chose the Japanese menu featuring plenty of Kyoto ingredients. Everything was tasty and satisfying. Many guests went back multiple times for more food because it was so good. The Hotel is conveniently located near the station, with a convenience store nearby as well. I would love to stay at this Hotel again!

    Close to the station. I was assigned a Twin Room even though I was alone, and it was very spacious and comfortable. The highlight is the high-quality breakfast. Freshly fried tempura in the morning was surprising, and the variety at the obanzai corner was impressive—almost like having dinner. It would have been even better with a large public bath, but overall, it was highly satisfying.

    I often stay in Okayama, but this was my first time in Kyoto. I got a quiet Room near the station, and the Room was great. The breakfast quality was so high that I couldn't believe it was from Via Inn—it was excellent! I will definitely stay here again. If I had to suggest something, having a drink bar in the lobby would be nice.

    See you next time!

    The accommodation is conveniently located near the station, and the room was spacious. It was a chic and charming hotel. While the amenities were minimal, they were sufficient for our needs. Although there was no water provided in the room, there is a convenience store below the hotel, so it wasn't an issue. The bathroom had a spacious bathtub, and I particularly liked the shampoo and conditioner. I even purchased them from an online shop just before checking out. One minor disappointment was that the air conditioning control screen in the room was in Chinese. While I understand that many international guests stay here, being in Kyoto, I would have preferred it to be displayed in Japanese first. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. We look forward to staying at this accommodation again next year!

    The desk was spacious, making it an ideal Room for work. There are many elevators, so there's no stress of waiting. Breakfast is delicious no matter when you eat it. This time, my favorite was the motsunabe, and I ended up having seconds every morning. I thought it was nice that the staff would say "Have a good day" when leaving the store every morning. It's very convenient with the station nearby and a convenience store, and I would like to use it again.

    I stayed in a twin Room, but I was disappointed that the table was small. The check-in was done by machine, but the operation was somewhat difficult, so I thought it would be faster to do it at the front desk.     A Hotel I want to visit again

    This is my second time using this service. There are many Hotels in this area, but this one is kind and accommodating. I appreciate being able to use the large lockers, which allow me to leave my luggage, go sightseeing, and pick it up on my way back. I became a member this time. Checkout is at 12 PM, which is great. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options. I will definitely come back again. The Room was spacious and easy to use, and the bed was large as well. Additionally, the convenience store that you can directly access is very handy, as you can bring your basket straight to your Room.

    Conveniently located near the station.

    It was convenient for transportation by bus or train as it is close to the station. The table was large, so you can enjoy tea and such leisurely in the Room. Since it was a Room with a bathtub, I was able to spend the cold winter in Kyoto comfortably.

    It was close to Kyot...

    It was close to Kyoto Station and in an easy-to-find location. The building felt new, and the Room was not cramped and had a sense of cleanliness. However, the nightwear was small and didn't fit, and I had to purchase a razor for 100 yen.

    The breakfast is delicious!

    The room has a twin with wooden flooring. It was nice to have a washing area with the bathtub. Breakfast included Kyoto-style obanzai, Western dishes, and freshly fried tempura, and all the dishes were delicious! The fried tofu was especially tasty. The restaurant staff were pleasant, and I thought I would stay at this hotel again when I visit Kyoto!

    Good access from Kyoto Station.

    It is convenient to leave your luggage and go sightseeing as it is close to Kyoto Station, and you can also leave your luggage on the day of check-out and pick it up before boarding the return Shinkansen.
