    I’d love to stay here again.

    I stayed here for one night on a trip to Kyoto. I often stay in Kyoto and Nara, and this place has the unique comfort of a compact hotel. It feels very cozy, the Facilities are well equipped, and overall satisfaction is high. Although the hours are limited, it’s wonderful that there are complimentary drinks. Having local Kyoto sake is a service that makes travelers very happy. I was delighted to find the same sake I had at Kyoto Station on my way back. It might be nice if it were available for purchase as well. The front desk staff were kind—I enjoyed talking about sake with them—and they replenished breakfast at just the right times, so I had a very comfortable stay. Kyoto summers are hot, so I’d like to visit again after peak season. Thank you very much.

    We had a comfortable stay.

    The staff were very courteous, and the clean, spacious Room and bath, along with the delicious breakfast, made for a very comfortable stay. In the lounge space overlooking the river, we enjoyed drinks and light snacks. There are convenience stores and restaurants nearby, so you won’t have any trouble. The station is also very close. Just one thing: I was a little disappointed that there was no rice at breakfast.

    It was my first stay...

    It was my first stay, and it was wonderful. At check-in, I was surprised by how small the Hotel was, so I honestly didn’t expect much—but the Room layout felt very spacious, and I never felt cramped at all. It was also great that everything I needed was properly provided. I made my Reservation without knowing there would be cocktail time, so it was a very pleasant surprise. The Room is of course relaxing, but cocktail time in the lounge was outstanding. The selection of drinks and light snacks on offer was perfect, and on both days I was able to unwind slowly while reading the book I brought with me. I think this is exactly the kind of thoughtful service a small Hotel can provide—and it’s working in the best way. Since it was cherry blossom season, the price was honestly high, but I’d consider visiting again in a more affordable season just for a Hotel stay.

    A Quiet New Year in Kyoto

    I stayed at Tassel Hotel with my daughter before her university graduation to visit Kyoto for the New Year’s shrine visit. It’s about a 15-minute walk from Kiyomizu Temple. Walking down the lively slope and along Shirakawa River, we arrived at this compact and beautiful hotel. We had asked in advance for restaurant recommendations nearby and made a reservation, so we enjoyed delicious and warm meals. Back at the hotel, there were free drinks and snacks available from 6 PM to 10 PM, which was wonderful. The room and bathroom were very satisfying as well. It’s close to Heian Shrine and incredibly quiet overall. The breakfast buffet had fewer options but felt just right. The New Year sake was also a delightful touch! Staying near Sanjo Shirakawa turned out to be an excellent choice—definitely planning to stay here again!

    Stayed with elderly ...

    Stayed with elderly parents. Conveniently located near the station and downtown area. The hotel is clean and well-maintained. Breakfast and lounge drinks were very delicious. I recommend the plum juice, my father enjoyed the breakfast soup, and my mother loved the granola she doesn't usually get to eat. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. The staff were friendly and helpful. Don't miss trying the Gion Manju sweets shop and soba restaurant next to the hotel!

    It was a compact and stylish Hotel.

    Close to the station, a cozy and stylish Hotel. A wide selection of welcome drinks, including alcoholic options. Snacks from the neighboring confectionery shop were also available and satisfying. The service was excellent. The overhead shower in the bathroom was very comfortable. Thank you!

    Cozy Hotel

    Used for a business trip. A small but clean and well-maintained Hotel with attentive service. The staff provides natural and genuine hospitality. The free-flow bar counter at night features Kyoto's local sake, and the breakfast buffet, though not extensive, offers carefully selected items such as Kyoto milk.

    Second stay, absolutely satisfied again!

    I had a great experience last time, so I decided to stay here again. Since it's summer and there was no laundry facility, I only made a reservation for two nights. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that a new apartment building nearby now has a Lawson convenience store and a coin laundry. Next time, I’d like to stay longer and enjoy sightseeing at a more relaxed pace. Thank you for your hospitality once again, and I look forward to staying here in the future!

    Simple is best.

    Everything you need is sufficient and efficient. Conveniently located with no wasted travel time, making even a one-night, two-day trip fulfilling. The Hotel is quiet and calm overall, allowing for a relaxing stay even during the bustling cherry blossom season. Thank you very much.

    A stylish and lovely...

    A stylish and lovely Hotel. The lounge is quiet and comfortable, and I felt relaxed with drinks and delicious sweets and snacks. I imagined the breakfast soup to be a vegetable potage, but it was a light consommé-flavored milk soup, which felt a bit lacking. I also wished the vegetables provided for the salad were a bit fresher.
