    The hospitality is excellent.

To enter the Hotel, use the entrance on the right side of the building. If it’s wet from rain, it may be slippery. Parking is available nearby, but it may be inconvenient in the rain. Prices vary, so please check if you want to save money. There is only one elevator, and it can get crowded depending on the time. There are a few comic books at the front desk; I hope they add more titles. The large public bath is in the basement, and it’s inconvenient that you need to stop by the front desk before using it. There are three washing stations. It’s better than nothing, but not much more than that. The shower stops automatically after a set time, which is inconvenient. The Room refrigerator is more like a cooler and doesn’t get very cold. The TV is large. The desk and chair heights don’t match well, so it’s hard to work there; the chair backrest is also low. The bed is good; I think two pillows would be better than one. The shampoo and other amenities are good. The air conditioner temperature settings aren’t adjustable in 1-degree increments, which feels imprecise. Breakfast was described as Kyoto-style obanzai, but the rice was too soft and not tasty. The side dishes were nothing special either. There is a drink bar, so you can even have cola in the morning. The bread was delicious. Also, I was surprised to see people forming an orderly line at the buffet instead of taking food from whichever station was open for efficiency (as I’ve seen at Hotels in Tokyo). This time there was congestion around rice and miso soup while drinks and bread were not crowded afterward; I think staff should guide guests to take items from open stations because lining up reduces efficiency—though of course people are free to do as they like. Beer service runs from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the evening, so timing matters—I missed it this time."""

    It was excellent.

The Facility was a bit old, but the staff were kind and welcoming, and I had a very pleasant stay. I also really enjoyed the happy hour and the morning obanzai—they were delicious. If I come to Kyoto again, I will stay here.

    It was great!

Although there were students on a school trip, it was very quiet and relaxing. Thank you very much. I didn't use the meals or the large public bath, but the provided pajamas were comfortable to use. The tatami-floored Room where you take off your shoes was also very satisfying. There were some comments about poor access, but I wondered what part of it was considered bad? Which access are they referring to? It’s close to Keihan and within easy walking distance from Shijo, so I think it's in a great location. In the past, this area used to be dark at night with few people around, but now with more Hotels and increased foot traffic, I feel it's become much safer. Overall, it was great! Thank you very much!

Close to Otani Mausoleum. Reasonably priced!

I had an unexpected plan to stay in Kyoto and made a reservation about a week in advance. Perhaps because it was during a calm period for tourism, I was able to stay at a very reasonable price for Kyoto. The accommodation, part of the Kuretake Group, had been renovated and was clean. I stayed comfortably in a twin bedroom as a single guest. In the basement, there were two baths with alternating schedules, one of which included a sauna. The bath I used at night felt slightly hot for me but had refreshing water that might be attributed to the flow from Lake Biwa Canal. I also enjoyed the morning bath; though the water was lukewarm, it featured Hokutolite stones from Akita Prefecture, leaving me warm even after returning to my room. Although my plan was no meals included, I decided to add breakfast for an additional 1,500 yen due to my pleasant experience. The meal included "obanzai" dishes with Japanese-style options that provided me with a calm start to the day. It felt more homely and higher quality compared to typical business hotel breakfasts (the rice served was from Tamba). Cups with lids were available so guests could take warm drinks back to their rooms after breakfast—allowing me some relaxing time before checkout. By the way, only green tea bags are provided in the room; however, there seems to be a free drink happy hour available outside regular hours if green tea alone isn't enough. The room had air conditioning and shiny metal fixtures like faucets that added comfort during my stay. However, water drainage at the sink seemed slightly slow—possibly due to some lining inside—but this could be managed by adjusting water flow. While complimentary bottled water wasn't provided in-room, bottled water was sold near reception for 100 yen each—the source being from Seki City in Gifu Prefecture—and it tasted great. Overall, everything felt efficient yet well-thought-out; I appreciated their efforts as a company and enjoyed discovering small thoughtful touches throughout my stay. Coming from afar initially brought some nervousness but seeing friendly smiles at reception immediately put me at ease. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

It was disappointing due to constant issues.

I made a reservation because the reviews were good, but when I turned on the air purifier in the room, I found dust and hair. The sink also didn't drain properly, so I requested a room change. However, the new room also had drainage issues, and I ended up canceling my second night. The cancellation process was handled properly, which was appreciated. The next morning, the fire alarm malfunctioned multiple times, forcing us to evacuate via the emergency stairs at 6 AM. It didn’t feel like we got any rest. Breakfast had very few guests and limited options; it felt unnecessary to include breakfast in our stay.
