    One of my favorite hotels.

    I’m always satisfied. Given that it’s an expensive Room, you might say that’s only to be expected—but consistently delivering what’s “expected” is actually proof of very high quality. However, there is one point I’d like to note for everyone. There is a roof over the walkway to Hakodate Station, but there are no walls. So during typhoons or blizzards with strong winds, the location is only “better than others.” For normal rain, it’s not a problem.

    The breakfast was delicious.

    The breakfast conveyor-belt sushi was delicious. If possible, I’d love it if you could offer more single-piece plates so I can try a wider variety. It’s not an Onsen, but the open-air bath was very relaxing. I’d like to stay again.

    It was disappointing.

    I was very surprised by how poor the check-in staff’s attitude was—no polite language and a confrontational tone. It said they were in training, but since the other staff were pleasant, it was especially disappointing. Also, as I was traveling with a child, I requested a station-side view, but we were assigned a harbor-side room, and there was no explanation at all on the day. The bath itself was quite nice, but in the morning there was shampoo-like foam floating on the surface, which felt unpleasant and made me unable to use it. The water from the post-bath water dispenser was ice-cold, which was genuinely great.

    I’d like to stay here again.

    Thank you for hosting us for two nights. The entire property, including the Room, was thoroughly cleaned, and we had a very comfortable stay. We also enjoyed the breakfast; it offered a wide variety of delicious options, and we were very satisfied. When we visit Hakodate again, we would definitely like to stay here again.

    Things That Never Change / Things That Have Changed

    My first stay of this fiscal year was in late June, and I didn’t notice any major changes to the Accommodation itself. However, is the new change that, after completing the check-in procedure and before returning to the Hotel, guests are now given a laminated card? At breakfast, the seafood bowl was unchanged. This year I tried the steak for the first time and found it delicious. If I may be greedy, I’d also love to see the salt ramen make a comeback again, even if only for a limited time.

    Hokkaido Trip

    Directly connected to Hakodate Station and very convenient, with the morning market and many shops nearby. The Room is compact, but it was comfortable to stay in. The Room faced the sea.

    The view from the large public bath overlooking Hakodate Station was wonderful.

    I arrived in Hakodate on the last Shinkansen and the direct connection to the station was extremely helpful. Overall, everything was very good, but I especially enjoyed the view from the large public bath overlooking Hakodate Station. One request: the Misuzu Coffee machine in the free-drink area on the bath floor takes a bit too long, so many guests end up taking two cups at once, which makes others wait even longer. It may be difficult to add a second machine, but it would be even better if this could be improved. I would like to stay again if I have another opportunity.

    The sushi served at breakfast is outstanding!

    It is very convenient, with near-direct access from JR Hakodate Station. The interior design evokes the era of the Seikan ferry. Breakfast seems to be run by an authentic conveyor-belt sushi restaurant, and the seafood was exceptionally delicious. There is also a large public bath, and I would like to stay here again. On the first day, it was a bit disappointing that there was no mineral water in the Room and that the TV’s HDMI port was not accessible from the side, so I couldn’t connect my Amazon Stick, but otherwise it was very comfortable.

    Large Public Bath

    The Facility is new and nice. However, the large public bath is not very convenient. If you bring towels from your room to the bath, it’s inconvenient that there are no spare towels to use after you return to your room. It would be appreciated if towels for use in the bath were provided there (even if not full-size bath towels).

    Excellent breakfast

    I was pleasantly surprised by the conveyor-belt sushi breakfast. The toppings were very fresh—fresher and much tastier than typical conveyor-belt sushi. There was also fish soup, and the other dishes were delicious as well. It was a breakfast you wouldn’t normally find at a Business Hotel. There is a large public bath on the top floor, which was very convenient. Since I had gotten chilled in the rain, it was especially nice. You can also enjoy a panoramic view of Mt. Hakodate from the Room, and I would like to stay here again.

    Near the station

    The closest Hotel to Hakodate Station, making it convenient to get there without getting wet in the rain. The bath on the 12th floor was spacious and great. The lounge also has a nice view, and you can enjoy coffee and tea, making it very comfortable. The morning market is right in front, and it was convenient for getting anywhere. You can watch the trains on the station platforms from your Room. All the front desk staff were polite and helpful. I would like to stay again.

    With the changing times

    Changes at the breakfast buffet A voucher is now required for salmon roe (“ikura”). It felt like the salt ramen has been replaced with kelp noodles, but I’m not sure whether it was just that day or if it has already changed to kelp noodles permanently. Other than that, everything was the same as always, and I enjoyed a delicious meal. Changes to luggage storage My first experience using self-service luggage storage after checkout was last year at a JR Inn Group Hotel in Sapporo. Seeing the same system introduced in Hakodate as well made me feel how times are changing. As long as this Hotel is here, I’ve decided that this is where I will make a Reservation whenever I visit Hakodate.

    Conveniently located near the station.

    The staff were exceptionally helpful—especially the woman who assisted us at check-in and the man who helped when we lost our key card!

    Direct access from the station! It was great!!

    I stayed here on short notice because I needed to take the JR early the next morning. There are many Hotels around Hakodate Station, and wherever you stay, both the station and the morning market are close and convenient. I chose this one because the in-room bath is separate, there is a large public bath, and it is directly connected to the station. As for the often-mentioned issue in Reviews about elevators taking a long time, we had no problem—perhaps because we were outside peak hours. The staff were also very kind. We booked two Rooms in the same category, but depending on the layout, one felt more spacious than the other (or not). The TV was placed where it basically had to be, which made sense, but it was slightly awkward to watch from both the bed and the chair. Overall, the Room was very functional and easy to use. I think it would also work well for business stays (if anyone uses it that way), and I recommend it.

    Ideal for train enthusiasts and those who value easy access

    I stayed here as a solo female traveler. Since getting around Hakodate is mainly by bus, streetcar, or on foot, this Hotel connected directly to the station was incredibly convenient. They also stored my luggage after checkout, so I could shop for souvenirs hands-free until close to my train departure. I used the 12th-floor lounge several times—enjoying a hot drink while taking in the snowy views of Mt. Hakodate and the sea. The large public bath offers a unique experience as well; you can soak while watching trains arrive at Hakodate Station at night. Because the bath and lounge are on the same floor, it’s easy to relax after bathing while enjoying the view. The front desk staff were kind, and it was fun that you can choose your own amenities and pillows from the first floor. The only disappointment was finding a strand of hair on top of the information guide on the desk in my Room, so I rated it 4 stars. Breakfast was enjoyable too—there was even conveyor-belt sushi, which felt like a nice touch. I will definitely come again.

    Family Trip

    I chose this hotel because of its good reviews, and it was directly connected to the station with all the places I wanted to visit, such as the morning market, Lucky Pierrot, Hasegawa Store, and Seicomart, nearby. Thank you for upgrading my room. I would love to stay here again when visiting Hakodate.

    JR Inn Hakodate

    First time in Hakodate. Stayed at <JR Inn Hakodate>. I arrived earlier than the check-in time, but they kindly stored my luggage, allowing me to enjoy exploring Hakodate right away. That was very helpful. The room was more spacious than I expected and very clean, making for a comfortable stay. One small downside was that there were no complimentary water bottles provided, which many accommodations usually offer. Even just one bottle would have been greatly appreciated; it would also be nice if they were available for purchase in the lobby or elsewhere. The next day it rained, but I was able to borrow an umbrella from the accommodation—overall, their service was excellent. The location is convenient as it's close to the Hakodate Morning Market and within walking distance of the Red Brick Warehouses if you're up for a stroll. On the top floor, there is a lounge where you can relax freely while enjoying coffee with a view of Mount Hakodate—the scenery was stunning! However, when I visited the bath area at one point, there were quite a few hairs scattered around the sink area which made it feel less clean than expected. Additionally, some guests (likely international visitors) were quite noisy in the large public bath area; this made it hard to fully relax during my visit there. It seemed like there were many international travelers staying here overall (which makes sense since Hakodate appears to be very popular among overseas tourists). The room's cleanliness and excellent service left me with a positive impression overall—I’d love to stay here again if given another opportunity!     A very convenient and clean Hotel

    The room was clean and spacious. My elementary school son was thrilled with the train-view room, and I’m so glad we chose this Hotel. The front desk staff provided warm hospitality. The relaxation space in front of the large public bath had a great view and was our favorite spot to unwind.

    The location is excellent.

    The location was very convenient, with both the bus and tram nearby, which was great. The inside was clean, but on the first day, there was no water in the Room. On the second day, it was there, so I realized it should have been provided. Also, I could hear a lot of noise from other Rooms; loud banging sounds were quite bothersome. The meals were enjoyable with seafood and sushi available.

    Excellent Accessibility

    Conveniently located in front of the station and morning market.

    This was my first stay, but I chose this Hotel based on my experience staying at a chain Hotel in Asahikawa. The top floor has a bath, free coffee, and a space where you can enjoy the ocean view. The Room is spacious and clean. Above all, it is conveniently located next to the station, with the morning market right in front of it, as well as stops for streetcars and buses to Hakodate Airport. There are also many restaurants nearby for dinner, making it very convenient to use.

    I have used this place about 10 times over the past 6 years. The cleaning of the Room and other areas is thorough, allowing for a comfortable stay. I plan to use it again next year.

    It was comfortable.

    Access, Room, amenities, and bath were all comfortable. The lounge on the top floor was very cozy, and I stayed for a long time while enjoying tea. I would definitely like to use it again if I have the chance.

    Directly connected to the station, very convenient. The Facility was clean and good, but the public bath could have been more spacious for a more relaxing experience. Also, there were only two elevators, which were always crowded and a bit bothersome.

    Stayed for 3 nights.

    I stayed with my parents, making it a group of three. We used a room with three beds, and the spacious room and large beds allowed us to relax comfortably. The staff were kind and attentive, making our stay truly relaxing. I would love to visit again next year.

    Thank you for your hospitality. The clean Hotel adjacent to Hakodate Station offered excellent access to various destinations. There was also a bus from the station's first departure to the summit of Mount Hakodate, allowing us to enjoy the famous night view. I would love to stay here again when visiting Hakodate.

    Conveniently located near the station.

    We enjoyed the lively atmosphere of the city due to encountering the Hakodate Festival. Our stay was very comfortable. The fireworks display was also beautiful, though it was extremely crowded with many people. However, we were surprised when we inquired at the front desk about mineral water usually provided in the Room and were told to use tap water from the bathroom. We believe there is room for improvement.

    It was convenient.

    The hotel was conveniently located right next to Hakodate Station. The room and bed were very clean. However, it would have been nice to have an extra hand towel in the room, and there were too few hair dryers in the large public bath. Also, I stayed on the day of the fireworks festival, but it was frustrating that the front desk staff could not provide clear information when asked about it.
